Claude nodded and quickly put on the clothes he chose. The button-up shirt was baggier and longer than he expected, but it wasn't something a few tucking in and sleeve garters couldn't fix. He even had a belt and a pair of socks. The only thing he couldn't choose was the house slippers given to guests. After looking at himself, Claude chuckled. "Are you prepared for naked guests?"
Len laughed as he dealt with own clothes. "We're wolves. Half the time, we go home with fur as our only layer of clothing."
"…no wonder I feel close to you…" Claude whispered to himself before jogging to the door. He smiled at Len, who was rolling up his sleeves. "Hurry up, slowpoke!"
…
Reina lost a lot of blood, but she only needed to eat up some candied medicine made for the creatures of the night. Which of them never needed a lot of blood at the ready? Fresh human blood would even make them crazy. Those bitter medicine balls could only be salvaged by the sweetness of candy and the body's need to intake flesh and blood.
The witch sat on her bed in the sick room. A nurse werewolf watched over her in case she would get an adverse effect from the medicine ball. It was prescribed to werewolves, after all.
"Master Len…" The nurse wolf got up from her seat and discussed a few things with Len. It was Claude who walked close to Reina's bed.
"Hey…" Claude sat on the edge of her bed. "We can only take you here. How are you feeling? Do you have some friends you can call to pick you up? Wait, we can just bring you to your dorm later. Still, you're injured… I hurt you."
"Injuries like these are normal in a fight." Reina sighed and rubbed her bandaged arms lightly. She looked at his face. "You spared my life. Are you okay with that?"
Claude rubbed his neck and glanced in Len's direction. "I don't know. You girls like coming after me because of one guy. You heard Courtney and her other friends throw my violin out, right? Even Gracie went after Eugene because of me. Rogers, are you planning to harm me or any of my friends? You failed to avenge Gracie."
Reina hummed and tilted her head to the side. "I can think about it, but I know what I'm up against. Not only do you not act haughty, but Len is also covering your ass from behind. Psi Saint Alpha warned Gracie. It was her stupidity that got her killed."
She smiled at him lightly. "I still have a lot of friends. Please don't kill them because I let you off once. A witch like me has stronger ties to the community than a rogue like you."
"Tell them not to approach me outside the school. I will protect myself the same way I have done before." Claude sighed and scooted to face Len, who walked closer to them. "Len, help me build a fence between me and those girls. I don't want a third strike from them."
"This is the third strike, isn't it?" Len chuckled and looked at Reina. "Courtney's still asleep. She will find you here later. I have to bring Claude back home."
"Okay…" Reina moved to lie down to sleep again.
Len nodded at Claude, and the two young men left the lady in the sick room. The nurse wolf sat on her nook again, watching over the sole patient.
…
Claude walked with Len along the manor, but he kept glancing at the other person. When Len smiled at him in curiosity, Claude finally stopped walking. He took Len's wrist and looked around. "Can we talk somewhere more private?"
"We can go to my room." Len gestured in a direction. "We're almost there. Just a few more steps. Would you like me to walk you to it?"
"Do you need to?" Claude caught the name tag on the door to their left, the very next door they would eventually pass. It had a fancy chalkboard look with a handwritten name on it. However, a child must have written the name instead. Claude teased Len. "Did you write your own name on those tags?"
"Yes." Len chuckled, trying not to feel embarrassed by his handwriting. "We are assigned rooms as soon as we reach twelve years old. Shall we go in?"
Claude nodded and pulled Len inside his room. When the door opened, the familiar, sweet, and mild scent filled Claude's nose. It was the same scent that drew him to Len that day. A slight blush colored Claude's cheeks as he felt surrounded by Len in that room. He picked a seat on the bed, even climbing onto it and crossing his legs.
When Claude patted the space next to him, Len could only oblige. He sat beside Claude, even leaning on his arm behind Claude. He whispered, "Would you like to talk now or later?"
"A little later." Claude sighed and leaned against Len. He looked up at Len's face from such proximity. "You were gone for most of the week. Your other seatmate doesn't look friendly enough for me to ask. He has this face that will take punches."
"I figured he would be taunting you without me around." Len sighed with a chuckle. He rubbed his nose against Claude's face. "Did he hurt your feelings?"
"I can simply ignore him if he starts talking shit about me or Eugene." Claude purred at the touch, his head soon turning to face Len. "You're already doing a lot here. I don't want a baby crying for you because someone called their bluff."
"What a troublemaker. You're supposed to be a good kid." Len placed a kiss on the corner of Claude's lips. "Don't make yourself the SCB's problem."
Claude accepted the slow kisses for a few seconds, only for him to move and mount Len. He sat on Len's legs and held Len's shoulders. His mouth captured Len's lips, and a soft moan followed. Len held his waist with both hands, squishing the flesh. They agreed to talk, but their mouths were now stuffed with each other's tongues.
A huff drew between them, and Claude pressed his forehead against Len's. He opened his eyes and dropped his blush and smile. He said, "When were you planning to tell me?"
"It was hard to speak without enough context to usher it." Len hummed, keeping his eyes closed. It was as if he continued to savor Claude's breath on his face. "I did say we needed to talk as soon as I got back to my dorm. Today… might not even be the day. I'm sorry, Claude. I brought you here to be with you for a few hours. I must return to dealing with problems later."
"Is your pack really that hard to manage?" Claude moved his body closer, shifting his weight. His entire body weight was on Len, their erections barely touching underneath those clothes. He held Len's face with both palms again. "Can't I spend the whole day here?"
Len finally opened his eyes and smiled.
