The moment the teleportation point activated, a blinding light occupied my vision for a moment. Then it vanished. As soon as I regained my sight, I found myself in a different section. It was Section 2, and I'm still in Region 1.
When I activated the teleportation point, it gave me three options: "Short Jump," which teleports you to the next section; "Long Jump," which teleports you to any section within a region; and lastly, "General Jump," which teleports you to the location of the "General Teleportation Point," located in the very center of this library—an unreachable location without the teleportation point.
I activated the teleportation point again, and this time, I teleported toward the General Teleportation Point, the center of this Library.
A blinding light engulfed my eyes once more, and when it disappeared, I found myself in a vast land of pure white. No matter where I looked, I only saw an endless void of white; the only thing present here was the endless white floor.
I expanded my magic sense to the extreme, covering a distance of ???. Despite this, I never reached the end of this boundless white void.
While I was doing that, a holographic interface emerged before my eyes. Seeing this, I frowned because I felt something unique about this interface.
"Welcome to the General Teleportation Point System."
It wasn't holographic—it was like it appeared in my mind—and the feeling it gave was very familiar.
I observed the interface before me, and later I understood its true nature.
This is a System—a system that always appears in those other-world travel novels back on Earth—but they didn't know they are real and I was the one who created them. The one in this novels was the creation of my creation, the offspring of the systems I designed.
Now the system before me was much more powerful than the ones I created.
Chaos Sovereignty—they are so terrifying.
I observed the system interface for a while, and the longer I stared at it, the more my curiosity grew.
"System, who created you?"
"Ding! My creator is Pantheon herself."
"Are all entities from Chaos Sovereignty capable of doing this?"
"Ding! Sorry, I don't know."
I talked to the system, satisfying my curiosity.
"Ok, I'm going. Teleport me to this location: Region 1,777,561,777,123,413,123,777, Section 121."
"Ok, bye. General Teleportation Point is activating in 10, 9, 8..."
A magic rune appeared under my feet. While the General Teleportation Point was activating, my thoughts wandered. According to the System, the entire white void was the General Teleportation Point itself. This boundless white void is an unimaginably massive teleportation device.
"3, 2, 1, 0" — the magic circle under my feet rotated rapidly, releasing a blinding light that engulfed me. My vision was blinded by white light for a moment. Then the light dissipated, and I found myself in Region 1,777,561,777,123,413,123,777, Section 121.
I ran rapidly through Section 121 heading to Shelf 122,777,823. I was at Shelf 12, so I was quite far from my destination—at least hundreds of thousands of kilometers away, at the very edge of the section.
If the library was viewed from above, it would look like a massive square formed by countless large squares. Those large squares are the Regions. Within each Region, there are countless smaller squares—those are the Sections. Within the smaller squares, there are countless lines—those are the Bookshelves. The outline of these squares forms the gaps that divide the Regions and Sections, laying out the structure of this library.
After a few minutes, I reached Shelf 122,777,823. I stared at the ???-tall and ???-long Shelf before me, thinking I would spend eternity just searching for one book. But luckily, the Shelf of this library was special. I learned about this while speaking with the General Teleportation Point System—System, for short.
According to the System, the Shelves themselves have their own will, and they possess unique forms to assist people who visit the library. Those unique forms are their clones—but keep in mind, those clones are no different from living beings, and they are controlled by the Shelf's will.
These clones are also powerful—at the ??? level. They act both as assistants and guardians of the library.
To find your desired book faster, you need to communicate with the Shelf's will and state the book you want, and it will give it to you instantly. To communicate with the Shelf's will, you need to touch the Shelf and whisper: "Help me, Shelf."
I touched the Shelf and whispered, "Help me, Shelf."
The entire Shelf 122,777,823 glowed in white light. Then a white cat, standing like a human and wearing black boots and a black cape, appeared. The cat floated in the air with a carefree demeanor, like nothing could shake him.
"What can I help you with, boss?" the cat in boots asked with good courtesy.
"Book 121," I said.
The cat nodded his head and flicked his paw. A book suddenly appeared, floating in front of me. It was the book I was looking for.
I took the book.
"By the way, do you have any book that talks about power level?"
"I do have one. Here," the cat said, and another book floated before me. I took both books.
"Are there any tables here?"
"There is," the cat flicked his finger and a chair and table materialized before my eyes.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," the cat said, bowing like a gentleman.
I sat at the table and began reading the book while the cat floated beside me, waiting for my next request.
