Dylana was the first to object. She rushed forward and clung to Graham's leg, halting him. Even Merry darted toward him, hands clasped, eyes wide with desperation. She dropped to her knees, begging him to forgive the poor girl one last time.
"Move away, Lana," Graham demanded, voice tight.
"No!" Dylana sobbed harder, refusing to let go.
"Strip her title. Kick her out of the pack! Just—please, not this..."
Tears streaked her cheeks, but she couldn't stop. Evangeline was the reason she had this life. The reason she was brought to this pack. If it came to it, she would trade her own life to save hers.
"Please… she doesn't deserve this..." Dylana cried louder.
