Abomination, originally named Emil Blonsky, was once an agent who had been injected with a version of the super soldier serum similar to Captain America's, though weaker.
However, he was brutally beaten by the Hulk—just one punch rendered him completely incapacitated. But thanks to the serum's regenerative properties, he recovered quickly.
Still, the humiliation left him unwilling to accept defeat. After another failed mission to capture the Hulk, he forced the villainous Leader to subject him to gamma radiation. As a result, he permanently transformed into a grayish-brown-skinned monster—Abomination.
The gamma radiation altered Blonsky's body, enhancing his cellular structure and adding over 800 pounds of bone and tissue from some unknown source. Unlike the Hulk, Abomination's transformation is stable—he cannot switch between human and monster forms as Hulk does.
Because of this permanent transformation, Blonsky—no, Abomination—was filled with overwhelming rage.
He also differs from the Hulk in that he retains his intelligence after transforming. Abomination still possesses Blonsky's intellect, and his strength exceeds that of the Hulk in his base form.
Of course, he knew what those SWAT teams and agents were doing.
They were merely stalling him—waiting for someone stronger to arrive.
In the past, the old Abomination might have fled in fear, but not anymore. Now, with his monstrous form fusing endless rage and immense power, his ego has swelled beyond measure.
He no longer believed anyone on Earth could challenge him.
This rampage was all to draw out the Hulk.
He blamed everything on the Hulk—and wanted nothing more than to tear him apart with his own hands.
On the armed helicopter—
"I want to go down," Bruce Banner said, clenching his fists as he looked at the carnage caused by Abomination below.
"NO" Ross replied, shaking his head before barking at the gunner, "Open fire! Hit that bastard hard!"
S.H.I.E.L.D. had just sent word—someone was on their way to deal with Abomination.
Any thought of letting Bruce Banner intervene was immediately dismissed.
"Got it!" the gunner nodded. The pilot slightly lowered the chopper's altitude as the machine gun locked onto the running Abomination. After aiming, the gunner squeezed the trigger.
"Ratatatata—!"
A hail of bullets rained down on Abomination like a torrential downpour!
"Raaagh!!"
The sudden pain made Abomination let out a furious howl. His eyes quickly locked onto the people in the helicopter. A cold gleam flashed in his gaze: "General Ross!"
Muttering the name, Abomination darted toward nearby cover. Now alert, he avoided the machine gun's fire with ease.
Though the bullets couldn't truly harm him, the pain was enough to enrage him.
Spotting a nearby alley between two walls, he dove in. Then, with one foot on each wall, he started climbing upward quickly.
Boom—
Each step he took crushed the stone underfoot, leaving massive holes in the wall.
Reaching a rooftop, he waited for the right moment. When the helicopter passed close by, he pushed off with both feet and leaped.
Thanks to his incredible jumping ability, he shot up and grabbed the helicopter's tail in an instant.
"Sh*t!" General Ross was terrified as the entire chopper was violently yanked downward.
Everyone inside—including the gunner—was thrown to the tail end of the cabin.
But this was still an armed helicopter; somehow, it stayed in the air, swaying and struggling to stay afloat.
Abomination had expected this. A cruel smile curled on his lips as he began climbing toward the cabin door.
"What do we do now?" Ross was starting to panic.
Maybe he should have let Bruce Banner join the fight earlier.
But now it was too late. Whether Bruce jumped out or transformed inside the cabin, there seemed to be only one outcome for everyone aboard—death.
Crushed like a fly by Abomination's massive palm.
The helicopter shook violently from his movements, making it impossible for anyone inside to stand. They were all being thrown around, quickly covered in bruises and injuries.
Bruce Banner included.
Early on, he had hit his head hard against part of the cabin and had already lost consciousness.
If not for the exceptional skill of the pilot, the chopper would've crashed long ago.
"Ross, didn't expect this, did you?" Abomination had reached the cabin door. He peered inside, his breath reeking, his voice deep and hideous as he growled madly, "Didn't expect me to turn out like this, huh? You played a part in this—you know that?!"
Ross had completely lost it. He backed away in terror until he was pinned against the tail.
"Bruce Banner…"
Abomination was about to say more when he caught a glimpse of someone that reignited his fury.
Bruce Banner—the Hulk.
"Why won't you let him out?! Why?!"
"I made him watch his girlfriend get torn to pieces!"
"So why won't you let him out!!"
Abomination roared in fury. The helicopter shuddered even more violently, as if it were on the verge of crashing.
Blood mixed with sweat trickled down the pilot's forehead. He clenched his teeth, doing everything he could to ignore Abomination behind him and keep the aircraft stable.
"Because someone else is coming to teach you a lesson!"
