Steve reached out his hand—no, just a finger at first—offering it playfully in her direction.
Dina tilted her head, curious. For a second, she hesitated. But then she slowly stretched out her hand too, her slender fingers grazing his.
Steve smiled, still holding her gaze, but inwardly his mind was racing.
'Okay, okay… so how do I know if the spell's actually working? Shouldn't there be some kind of system message? A glow? A ding? Anything?' He shifted slightly, keeping his face calm.
'This is my first time using it... Guess she's my lucky test subject. Or unlucky, depending on who you ask.'
