Xiao now seemed much more relaxed, evident from the ease in his expression.
Without any bombs, Klee could only wait until she had more materials to make more.
For her, today had been an incredibly happy day.
Not only could she toss bombs around freely, but she could even use them to heal people!
For the little girl, it felt like a dream come true.
So happy~
Zhongli and Venti were discussing the issue of bomb materials.
Lu Heng and Tartaglia sat nearby, sipping tea and munching on sunflower seeds.
The adepti worked quickly.
In no time, Ganyu arrived with a pile of materials.
Looking at the mountain of supplies and the eager expressions of the adepti, Zhongli pondered for a moment before speaking.
"It's getting late. Let's call it a night for now. Klee is still young and needs to rest early."
"Klee isn't sleepy~"
It wasn't yet late at night, and with all the excitement, the little girl showed no signs of tiredness.
"You might not feel sleepy now, but you'll probably doze off as soon as you hit the bed," Venti chuckled. "Let's wrap things up here. Boss Lu still needs to return to Fontaine. Don't delay him too long."
"Fair enough."
Lu Heng checked the time and added, "As for these materials, let's just leave them in the shop for now."
With that, he waved his hand and opened a portal, tossing the entire pile of materials into the warehouse.
Back in the shop, Lu Heng turned to the adepti and asked, "Would any of you like to try your luck with the gacha?"
At this, the adepti exchanged glances.
It wasn't that they didn't want to—it was just that… they had no Mora!
Serious adepti lived in seclusion deep in the mountains. Who carried Mora around?
Their abodes might hold plenty of valuable treasures, but actual cash? They were practically broke.
Amidst the awkward atmosphere of poverty, Cloud Retainer coughed lightly and said, "It is late, and we should not trouble Mr. Lu any further. Another day—we shall return during business hours to experience the wonders of the cards!"
"Quite right, quite right!"
Mountain Shaper and Moon Carver nodded in agreement.
They'd figure out a way to sell some valuables from their abodes later.
This was a new era—if they didn't have a few cards in hand, they'd really be left behind.
With that, the adepti took their leave.
"I'll be going too."
Tartaglia picked up his Crimson Frog and said, "Tonight's spar gave me a lot to think about. I'll go back and reflect on it."
With Martial Clarity, Tartaglia's martial talent had improved even further. He had gained a lot tonight!
"I won't stay much longer either. I'll bring more Mora tomorrow for the gacha," Zhongli said.
"See you tomorrow, then." Lu Heng nodded.
Venti glanced at Zhongli, then at Klee, and asked, "Old man, mind if I bring Klee along to crash at your place tonight?"
He was the one who brought Klee to Liyue—he had to take responsibility.
"Running around at this hour is troublesome. Klee can stay at the shop, or I can introduce her to a big sister later. How does that sound?" Lu Heng smiled.
"Okay!"
Klee nodded cheerfully.
"Works for me!"
Venti grinned. "Then I'll leave Klee in your care, Boss Lu. I'll go freeload at the old man's place for the night."
"No trouble at all."
Lu Heng chuckled as he closed the shop. "See you tomorrow."
With Zhongli and Venti gone, the shop quieted down.
While locking up, Lu Heng asked, "Klee, sleepy yet? If you are, I can set up a room for you to wash up and rest."
"Klee isn't sleepy~" Klee waved her tiny hand.
"Alright, then we're off to the Court of Fontaine."
Lu Heng opened a portal leading to the Fontaine Card Shop.
"Let's go."
The streets of Fontaine at night were serene, the chilly breeze carrying a quiet solitude.
But Furina didn't feel the cold at all.
Curled up on the sofa, a blanket draped over her legs, only her shoed feet dangled over the edge.
Focalors, chatting with her, could tell her attention was mostly on her phone.
The messages from the other side weren't frequent, but each one made Furina's face light up with joy.
She was utterly done for.
Focalors shook her head.
A portal opened in the shop.
Both Furina and Focalors turned to look.
"We're in the Court of Fontaine now."
Lu Heng stepped through the portal, carrying Klee.
"Lu Heng~!"
Furina immediately hopped off the sofa.
"It's already half past eleven."
Lu Heng glanced at the clock. "Did you wait long?"
"Not too long~"
Normally, Furina would have been asleep by now.
But the thought of waiting for Lu Heng had kept her wide awake.
Klee, nestled in Lu Heng's arms, blinked curiously at the two identical sisters, her face full of wonder.
"Come, Klee, let me introduce you."
Lu Heng smiled. "This is your sister Furina, and this is your sister Focalors. Don't mix them up, okay?"
Aside from their auras, Furina and Focalors could also be distinguished by their fashion choices.
Their styles were subtly different.
"Hello, sisters~"
"Little Klee is so adorable!"
Even before meeting Klee, Furina had already heard about this lucky and cute little girl from Lu Heng's messages.
"This is actually a good time for a late-night snack."
Lu Heng set Klee down on a chair before placing two bowls of mushroom soup and several dishes on the table.
Despite the hours that had passed, the food was still steaming hot, as if freshly served.
A storage-like ability was nothing special for Lu Heng.
"Smells amazing!"
Furina had been eager to try this ever since Lu Heng sent her a picture.
Now, with the aroma of the mushroom soup filling the air, her stomach growled despite not feeling hungry earlier.
"Come sit."
Furina obediently took her place beside Lu Heng.
"The main ingredient is a fifth-tier medicinal herb. Focalors will be fine, but you shouldn't eat too much, or your stomach won't handle it," Lu Heng reminded her.
"Got it."
Furina nodded obediently.
Focalors examined the dishes. "Is this Liyue's Liyue Cuisine?"
"Want to give it a try?" Lu Heng grinned.
"I've only heard of it but never had the chance to taste it," Focalors admitted. "Guess I'm benefiting from Furina's luck tonight."
"Hehe." Furina giggled before turning to Klee. "Come, Klee, I'll share some with you."
"Thank you, sister, but Klee can't eat this," Klee declined politely.
"Then how about some other dishes? Which one do you like?" Furina found her more and more endearing.
Lu Heng seemed to adore this child too.
Could she… have such an adorable little one with him in the future?
She didn't need to say much about herself, and Lu Heng was tall and handsome—any child of theirs would surely be just as cute, right?
A boy would inherit Lu Heng's dashing looks, and a girl would be as beautiful as her.
Maybe… twins?
"Why are you spacing out instead of eating?" Lu Heng asked, puzzled.
Just a moment ago, she was raving about the smell, but now she was lost in thought?
"Huh? Oh!" Furina snapped back to reality.
Her eyes darted away guiltily, avoiding Lu Heng's gaze.
Hastily, she took a sip of the mushroom soup to change the subject. "Mmm! Delicious!"
Did you even taste it properly before gulping it down?
