One month had passed.
"Wake up, wake up, babe!" Alva said excitedly, hitting Cody's chest with a playful smack.
He groaned, eyes still half-closed. "What is it… again?"
She leaned down and kissed his lips. "It's our baby shower! We need to get ready and set up the house," she said, her eyes sparkling.
"I thought Tim was handling that?"
"He is," she said, "but Tim can't do everything before the guests arrive!"
"Okay, okay," Cody mumbled, dragging himself out of bed. He threw on a T-shirt and walked out of the bedroom with Alva clinging to his arm.
Downstairs, they found Tim in full event-planner mode. He was walking around with a clipboard, directing helpers, and checking decorations.
"Well done, Tim!" Alva beamed.
"Thanks, sissy," Tim replied with a proud smirk, not even looking up as he arranged pastel balloons into an arch.

The mansion had been transformed.
The grand living room and backyard had been redecorated into a dreamy baby shower wonderland. A giant balloon arch in shades of blush pink, ivory, and gold framed the entrance. Banners with the words "Welcome Baby Girl" hung from the staircase railing.
In the living room, there were cozy seating areas with soft pink cushions, ivory throw blankets, and little teddy bears placed on each seat. A dessert table stood near the windows, topped with cupcakes, baby bottle-shaped cookies, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a gorgeous two-tier cake decorated with baby shoes and pink bows.
Soft instrumental lullabies played from hidden speakers, creating a calm, joyful vibe.
In the backyard, round tables were set up under a white canopy draped with fairy lights. Each table was topped with pink roses and baby bottles filled with candy as centerpieces. A photo booth corner had props like baby bibs, bottles, and signs that read "Team Mommy" and "Team Daddy."
A diaper cake towered on its own display table, wrapped with pink ribbons, pacifiers, and tiny socks. Guests would be arriving soon, and the house felt like a magical celebration space, filled with warmth and anticipation.
