Chapter 46 - CHAPTER FORTY SIX

Brian and vicky…

Prom was only a few weeks away.

"Is that true? You've got a date?" Maggie asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course," Bart said with a smirk. "But I'm gonna ask you out first."

"What about you?" Maggie said, turning the question back on her friend.

"Brian," she whispered to herself.

"What did you say?" Maggie asked, catching the name.

"Nothing. I was just saying... if Lucy still doesn't have a date..."

"She would. It's Brian," Maggie said. "There are rumors going around that they're both dating."

Suddenly, Bart came walking over, looking handsome with his curly hair. He held a bouquet of rose flowers in one hand.

"My prom queen would be Maggie," he said smoothly.

"Of course, Bart," she replied, smiling.

She collected the flowers and kissed him as the crowd around them cheered and lifted her up.

"Would you be my prom date?"

"I love you, baby. Be my prom date."

"I'll be your prom king if you'll be my queen."

Different boys were proposing to girls all over campus, each one holding out rose flowers. The school was filled with excitement and petals.

Vicky sat at the doorway, quietly watching how her classmates were being asked out. She saw how happy they looked, smiling and hugging. She had been waiting for Brian to ask her too… but he wasn't there. Not today.

Brian had always been the one she imagined would ask her. He was important to her, someone she had secretly dreamed about for a long time. But he hadn't shown up.

She sighed, jealousy creeping into her chest as she watched the others. "Ugh," she muttered under her breath, standing up as another girl screamed joyfully with flowers in her hands.

"Brian…" she whispered, then stopped noticing it was not him, just a weird guy asking her to be her prom.

"no"she said straightly as the guy walked out with sadness in his heart.

Vicky still had hoped Brian would come shortly and ask her out in front of her stupid coursemate but that shortly started coming to an end..

what had happened again Brian.

Seeing other girls asked out made her jealous and she wanted to cry that the Guy she loved was nowhere to be found but suddenly that guy showed up stammering like he was being threatened by some ghost. He walked to her staring at the floor.

Vicky stared at his hand hoping to see it or his lips or was it a surprise. she really didn't know, but she really hoped it was a surprise that would make her smile.

But the Truth was that NO SURPRISED!!!!

"Hi"he said strangely

"hi too"she replied back

"I came to tell you something,"he said, staring at the floor.

Is he really going to ask me out now ,is he ….he is! he is! ….

squee

"what that's Brian"

"I'm sorry…"

"What do you mean by that?"

"i….you can't be prom queen "

"uh???"

"I already have a date.."

"why all of a sudden.."

"i don't think i…."

Oh my God! i let him kiss me

"you don't think what…"

"that you ... .im you're prom…"

"Did my brother,Tim, threaten you to leave me ?"she asked, knowing what he did.

He meets different girls everyday but still he won't let her talk to a guy and talk more about dating him.

what wrong has she done in her past Life that God gave her a brother like him.. living with Cody was just fine but having Tim has a brother was the worst nightmare.

"no he didn't do anything…..i didn't see him"Brian stammers badly that even the deaf could know he is lying just by his weird unknown voice.

"drop the act.I know it Tim "

"oh—you know."

"i have two brothers, one handsome and caring while the other ugly and foolish"she said

But that wasn't true. Tim was handsome like all those k-pop guys she listened to—like Jungkook in a korea band named BTS.

"So which of my brothers told you to dump me?"she asked like a bouncer.

"It was Tim."

"i knew it.".she stood up from the chair and walked out of him.

she is not going to let this one slide

"oh lu— Vicky don't do anything foolish "he said as if it will make her come back to him.

At Cody mansion..

Vicky's face was filled with anger. She hadn't been this furious since Tim last annoyed her. Storming toward the mansion, she flung the door open without knocking—only to be met with an all-too-familiar sight.

There was Tim, with a girl, as usual. He was just about to pull off the girl's clothes when she walked in.

"What's up, Vicky?" he said casually.

"A woman again," she muttered, walking straight to the girl. "Do you know he doesn't love? His heart is as hard as a diamond—it can't be broken. He doesn't care about any girl, and he never will. He's stupid and selfish. He changes girls like his underwear. I'm telling you this as a stranger and as his sister—stay away from him."

But to her annoyance, the girl simply smiled. "I don't care about his love. I just want to be with him, even for a day. I don't care if he loves any girl."

"Ah, shit. You're as foolish as him. You're gonna regret it," Vicky snapped. The girl raised her hand to strike Vicky, but Tim stopped her midway.

"Leave, Ann," he said, and the girl walked out, sighing.

"So, to what do I owe this pleasure? Such sweet praises about me," he smirked.

"Shut up," she said sharply. "What did you tell Brian?"

"Oh, him? Sissy brother. I just told him not to ask you to prom," Tim replied.

"You know what I—"

"Hate me. That's what you're going to say, right?"

"Yes, I hate you. And I hope no girl ever likes you." She stormed out.

"Thank you, Vicky," he said with a grin.

Vicky's anger began to fade. She headed toward her room but ended up at Alice's room instead. Maybe Alice's smile could melt all the bitterness away.

As she approached, she noticed Cody and Alva through the slightly open door. She peeked inside.

Alva was resting on Cody's chest, half-asleep, murmuring softly.

"Babe, can we get a nanny for Alice?" she asked while Cody gently patted her hair.

"Okay… but don't regret your choice later," he said as she nodded confidently.

She lifted her face and kissed him. Vicky quickly shut her eyes as they kissed.

Then, the sound of Alice crying broke the moment. Vicky rushed in and scooped her up.

This was her chance—she'd offer to be the nanny. She and Brian could watch over Alice, and maybe she could get closer to him.

Cody entered the room, confused to see Alice not crying and already in Vicky's arms.

"Cody, I overheard you talking about getting a nanny for Alice. Brian and I could watch her until you find someone," Vicky offered.

"You would?"

"Yes, right Alice?" she asked, smiling at the baby. Alice giggled in response.

"Okay. I'll go let Alva know," Cody said, heading back to the room.

"Yes!" Vicky whispered excitedly, tossing Alice up gently as the baby laughed.
