Chapter 84 - Fifth Volume: Subspace Arc Chapter 12: Crossing the Subspace

Feilong, exhilarated, said, "From the dispatch, Father's likely gearing up for war in another subspace. Why else request so many Tier 5+ warriors?"

"Hmm," Bixue nodded, knowing her rascal husband's ways. "Tomorrow, summon the ministers, parliament, and elders to discuss. Where will you draw these warriors from?"

Feilong pondered. "The Tianlong System." To safeguard the Sky Dragon Empire's interests, most Hua Clan members, barring key post holders, were state-supported, working light jobs in national units while honing their abilities. This policy was enshrined in the empire's secret constitution, extending to God Clan, Demon Clan, and Feilong Clan. These four mighty races, now twenty-five billion strong, were a fraction of the empire's seven trillion population. Secretly distributed across six major systems, the Tianlong System, the empire's lifeline, housed nearly a hundred million "special" warriors. Drawing from here wouldn't disrupt the balance.

The next day, the empire's field army commanders, key government heads, and elders convened. Outsiders speculated wildly—too grand for a routine meeting. Nations dispatched spies to probe.

"Discuss who should lead. One million Tier 5+ warriors are ready, but who commands?" Feilong addressed the assembly.

"No debate needed. Send me. I fought alongside Big Bro—perfect sync," Alang said, rolling up his sleeves, daring anyone to challenge. But God King, the God Clan leader, interjected, "Your Majesty, let us old-timers stretch our legs. You youngsters do your thing." Demon King chimed in, eyeing the rare chance. Subspace, needing a million Tier 5+ warriors? What a thrill. Tier 5 warriors rivaled their past selves—too exciting to miss.

Facing these two "old monsters," Alang, only Tier 6, knew he couldn't match their Tier 7 might. Sighing, he sat. Feilong, familiar with this father's-generation commander, continued.

"Father's dispatch specified Tier 5+ for subspace travel safety and strong foes. Our tech can't cross subspaces yet—only Hua, Feilong, God, and Demon Clans can. God and Demon Clans need magic arrays, but with the destination uncertain, they're out," Feilong said. Alang perked up.

God King and Demon King protested. No way we're missing this. "Your Majesty, you're right, but our clans can endure subspace energy. No arrays? We'll ride dragon backs," they countered. Alang, unbothered as long as he went, added, "I'm going. Last time, Big Bro forgot gum—I'll deliver it." Feilong felt one word: dizzy. Such a childish excuse.

After a morning's debate, the Supreme War Department, High Elder Council, and Emperor Feilong decided: six million Tier 5 warriors, one million Tier 6, three million each from God and Demon Clans (Tier 5+), two million Feilong Clan—fifteen million total. Led by Empress Dowager Bixue, Feilong Clan's five elders, God and Demon Clan leaders, one-star marshal Makino Alang, Makino Abao, and princes/princesses Makino Feijing, Makino Feitu, Makino Rushi, and Makino Tianxue—ten commanders—to Feitian's subspace.

The news shook the cosmos. To a subspace with fifteen million super warriors? Only Kangjia Empire grasped their physical crossing; others were clueless. Nations marveled at the Sky Dragon Empire's might. Fifteen million super warriors? We'd need no warships. Only this empire could muster such power.

After three days, food and gear were ready. To avoid attention, they gathered on an uninhabited planet, encircled by Hua Dragon Clan to guard the empire's secret.

"Hua Clan, transform to second state," Bixue commanded. Hua warriors morphed, multicolored giant dragons filling the planet. Tianxue, just Tier 5, became a small white dragon like her mother's, dwarfed by Bixue's kilometer-long form. Feilong Clan sprouted wide wings, their bodies shorter. God and Demon Clans, knowing Hua were dragons, were still awed by their mighty claws and agile forms. Under God King and Demon King's orders, they mounted dragon backs. Over a thousand Tier 6 dragons led, tearing a massive rift in the black cosmos. Dragons spaced along the passage maintained contact—subspace travel was perilous, risking disorientation. Feilong Clan, guarded by Hua dragons, crossed. The final dragons followed, the two-kilometer rift sealing as if never there. Tianxue, curious, watched the passage's kaleidoscopic energies buffet them.

After a day and night, they spotted the exit rift. They'd reached the subspace.

Meanwhile, Comrade Feitian sat in his palace's secret chamber, forging flying swords. I don't need them, but Duo'er Duo and the girls love them. Men's burdens, right?

A massive energy surge hit—dragons were sensitive to such shifts. Tushi burst in, stammering, unable to speak. The subspace crossing's energy disrupted satellite feeds. Tushi, investigating, saw a sky rift spew long creatures, like the gods Feitian fought, yet different. Their massive forms drove him to the palace.

Outside, I felt boundless joy. That familiar energy told me who'd come. Tushi gaped as I transformed into a long "monster" to meet them. "Are gods like this?" His mind spun. My dragon roar snapped him awake. Duo'er Duo and the girls, napping, rushed out, dumbstruck at the sky's dancing dragons.

As the army arrived, Tushi and Duo'er Duo marveled. Dragons carried riders with white and black wings. Shockingly, the "long worms" became human.

I saw Bixue. She saw me. A golden dragon and a snow-white one entwined in the sky. "You rascal, you remembered to signal," Bixue griped.

"Heh, I'd never forget you, my darling," I said, human again, hugging her. Kapo, teary, joined us, and I held them tight.

"Long live our Emperor, forever!" A thunderous chant erupted, startling Tushi and me. I'd asked for a million—why millions? Tens of millions, a sea of people.

"Rise," I said. "Thank you, Your Majesty." Even God King and Demon King came. "You sure know how to enjoy, leaving my daughter home to indulge here. Nice," Demon King, my father-in-law, teased. Ouch. Bixue and Kapo pinched me hard.

"Tushi, take them to rest. They'll build their own shelters."

"Oh," Tushi, dazed, snapped to at my call. "Duo'er Duo, Duo'er Hua, meet your big sister." The girls, initially scared of Bixue's dragon form, relaxed, knowing my nature after a year together, though still nervous.

"Such pretty sisters. No wonder you didn't come home," Bixue said, taking their hands. Her warmth eased them, and they chirped, "Big Sister's the pretty one!"

"Enough flattery, or we'll chat till dark," I cut in. "These are God and Demon Clan leaders. This is your big sister, Kapo. These four are my kids—Makino Feijing, Feitu, Rushi, Tianxue."

"Aunties!" the four greeted politely. Duo'er Duo and Duo'er Hua, blushing at being called "mom" by peers, fumbled for words.

To spare their awkwardness, I led them to Alang and Abao. "My brothers, Alang and Abao." "Big Bro!" they gripped my hands, emotional. "Stop, stop. You'll make me cry," I said, nose stinging.

"Uncles!" Duo'er Duo and Duo'er Hua bowed. "No, we should greet our sisters-in-law," Abao said, wiping tears.

"Let's head in—plenty of time to talk," I said, leading Bixue and the girls to the palace. "Big Bro, this crystal palace is stunning," Alang remarked.

"Heh, Alang, like it? I'll gift it to you as a villa," I teased.

"Kidding! If you wanna gift me, take me on your next adventure," Alang shot back.

"You rascal."
