Everyone had left the room, leaving only me and Dexton. However, he still hadn't said anything that seemed on his mind or hanging on his tongue, which left me questioning.
"What do you want to say? They're gone. It's just the two of us, and you've been silent this whole time," I said, waiting for him to speak. Not a word came out. He just stared at me, held my hand, and kissed it occasionally. However, none of that moved me to believe his actions and words.
"You look thin. I don't like it," he said after ignoring my question for a while, staring at me with a weird look. I'd always felt uncomfortable when he looked at me like that, like he was stripping me naked, and suddenly memories of the rape and murder flashed through my mind.
