Meanwhile, Ighis, Melissa, and the others made their way up to the second floor even before the chaos began.
The second floor consisted of a large hall only slightly smaller than the first floor.
Nonetheless, the second floor was mostly filled with long tables and tall shelves. On the tables, small cauldrons and pots, glass bowls and bottles, fresh herbs, and the flesh and bones of abnormalities—as well as many other strange ingredients—could be seen.
Even on the shelves, bizarre objects were displayed. There was even a large glass jar filled with eyeballs of varying sizes, all soaked in a translucent green liquid.
A few dark-robed wizards could be seen standing beside the tables, walking around the arrangements or collecting resources from the numerous tall cupboards spread across the hall.
Compared to the first floor, the second floor was remarkably quiet—only the sound of footsteps, the bubbling of ingredients in cauldrons and pots, and a few murmurs could be heard.
