He was born of two nobles... Born from the 2nd Circle, Alaric opened his eyes... His eyes flutter open, a green emerald color.
"Look! He's awakening!" Spoke to a woman, Zariah. His mother in his real life and these simulated lives. He yawned, having felt like he slept like a-
"!!!" Alaric suddenly noticed something was wrong... VERY wrong.
'Wait...' He moved himself a bit,
'Heavier arms... I feel CHUNKY...' He thinks,
'...!?!' And in his mind...
'AM I A BABY!?!' Screaming in his internal world, the only thing he's concerned about...
'DID YOU DO THIS AGAIN, SIMULATION!?!' He cursed Simulation, as it didn't take long for him to think...
'I am back again in a similar circumstance. Zariah Lake... or this time, Zariah Lowel, is my mother again. As expected. But my father is here.' Alaric looked at him...
'Dominael above, he looks so kind...!' He is weirded out, his father, Dominael, is a lot more strict, but this... Dan, he's a lot kinder looking.
'Dragons are still a thing.' Looking around, draconic imagery is seen all around the place. Not as extravagant as the king's place, but up there in terms of riches.
"..." People watched as...
"Pfff..." Alaric farts.
'...' He waited for their reaction, but...
"Woosh." A small gust of wind is seen coming from Dan's hand.
"He's my son. Not like I doubted it." Dan smiled, as if... Proud?
'What the hell was I thinking when I made him!?!' Alaric cringed on the inside,
"Dan... I am a bit concerned, babies aren't meant to be this... Quiet. It's... I don't know." Zariah, a woman with long black hair and green eyes, explained her concerns.
"I am sure he's fine, Zariah. He... Just might be one of those kinds of kids. With the right environment, I don't think he'll be cursed and-"
"DAN!" Zariah pouts,
"A-Alright. I will deliver a message to our doctor... I am sure he'll find nothing wrong with him." He explained, as a bit of doubt seeps into his mind...
'It is true that he is acting strange... Sigh...' He hopes that the worst isn't upon the boy.
***
But since then... The past 5 years have passed.
"Draconic Heirs, listen to our praise! Draconic Heirs will bring in the new dawn! Three out of the six, the era of rebirth is upon us! Forever more, nevermore, yet so close, though so far..."
Ever since I was placed here, the world has shifted. From living dragons filling every corner of the world to six different ones. A lot different. Might be my fuzzy memory, since there's only me and my five other companions.' Alaric thinks.
He governs knowledge. (Also arcana)
Junala governs war. (Also pride)
Alissia governs the sky. (Also, the sun and moon)
Gallinum governs the ocean. (Also thunder and lightning)
Then the last two...
'It has to be Life and Death. Has to be. But these Guardias don't match...' Alaric thinks, as six guardians govern this world. Dragons of amazing powers, they created everything this world has to offer.
Earth, Sky, Life, Death, Creation, and Finality.
The earth we walk on, the skies above, the life created, the end of that said life, the physical manifestation of things, and the complete and utter annihilation of all things. These six powers govern this world.
'Father seems to draw power from the Sky. He can control the winds to a certain extent. This power is his drawing power from the energy left behind from the Sky Guardian.' Alaric thinks, having read books and such. He walked amongst his parents, heading to...
A church?
The church was large, like many who want to think the gods are watching them,
'Calaban... That's a name I keep hearing... Did I really forget so much?' Alaric wondered, as Calaban is somewhat familiar... But it isn't at the same time.
'I might need to dig deeper into this.' Thinking to himself, he continued. The large decorative doors swing open as a priest is seen.
"..." He whispers prayers, as the three wait, as eventually...
"I didn't expect you to come so soon, Dan Lowel," Spoke the priest.
"!" The boy is a bit surprised...
"Haha, you have a sharp mind, as always. Hello, Father Ulon." Dan greets the priest,
'Ulon... Also a familiar yet unfamiliar name...' Alaric thinks,
"I'd wish to have my son appraised. As you know, I draw my power from the Sky. So I wish to know if Adam here is also a Skyfolk." Dan said,
'I am Adam Lowel here. When people draw upon a power, a source, they're referred to by many titles. But commonly... Skyfolk, Earthfolk, etc. Creation and Finality never had those who drew their power... But who knows when they'll pop up? Either way... I'm going to meet them.' The newly named Adam said, as Ulon nodded,
"He has a strong life force just by looking at him... I am sure one of the Worshippers would love to have him." Ulon said,
'Worshipers... That's the word.' Adam nodded,
"... I'll just be glad he'll have a path to walk," Dan said, as Zariah nodded,
"Come, child. Let me apprise you, with Calaban as my witness, I shall...!" Ulon placed his hand over his hand...
"...!!!" And Ulon's eyes widened,
"This...!"
"What is it, Father Ulon!?!" Dan wondered, a bit curious about his son's gift. Zariah noticed...
"Father Ulon... Is-"
"T-This energy! I-I didn't expect such...!" Ulon seemed horrified but astonished and even awed.
"?" Adam, always a bit quiet, is also confused.
"I-I must inform them! T-This is... None...!" Ulon is a MESS right now,
"FATHER ULON! Calm yourself before Death graces you!" Dan ordered, as Ulon breathed a bit,
"Y-Yes... Apologies... Right." Ulon straightens himself out.
"What happened? What did you see?" Dan wondered as Ulon stared at the boy, as Adam's eyes, ever so observant, were curious.
'What kind of power do I have that made him almost get a heart attack?' Adam wondered, as Ulon brought out a set of six... Scales?
"That-!" Dan is shocked to see them in person!
"Yes... One of the scales of each Guardian... They serve as a means to verify one thing and one person alone... Draconic Heirs." Ulon's claim made the three grow shocked in their way.
"D-Draconic Heir? Y-You can't be serious-"
"You dare think I live in Calaban's home!?!" Ulon grew angered,
"... Excuse me for my outrage." Ulon apologies,
"N-No... I should be apologizing for taking your word lightly." Dan bows a bit.
"Your son possesses a unique property like all Draconic Heirs... Their arcana... It's violent like a raging dragon, and has a rich texture when interacting with it. I... I wish to test him, see which one of the guardians he resonates with more.
"We have three scales... As we know, only six Draconic Heirs can exist at a time. Currently... Life, Death, and Sky are currently being held up by their respective Draconic Heirs."
***
When someone becomes a Draconic Heir... They're tasked with journeying beyond their home to find these dragons. Using their powers, they grow as they venture into their domain... Life... This one was the easiest. But Finality... Well, you'll have to be extreme to go into their domain. A death beyond death... You're essentially erasing yourself from existence to get to them.
Many tried, thinking themselves to be worthy, only to never be seen again.
When receiving their power, the Guardian gives up their physical form and merges with their vessel. Their existence became only fuel for the next, these Draconic Heirs would then bring in a new dawn by bringing new life into a new era. Arcana, after all, is what makes up these worlds. When the Guardians grow old, their positions need to be filled. For over 50,000 years, these Guardians wait... And even after the supposed 50,000-year wait... If one dies, they need to await another one. So it can take longer... If nobody tries to ruin the cycle.
From there, the Draconic Heir would become the new dragon, and allow the world to return to a brand new era of their life.
'Stupid? Of course. Mortals these days don't try to take their destinies and put them in their hands.' Adam thinks as he places one hand over a scale. Creation.
"!!!" And when the energies interacted, a shock was felt, a thing.
"..." Ulon takes it away. Earth and Finality.
"Hm." Adam turns his gaze over...
"!" Everyone is shocked... Finality!?!
But... To their relief...
"Ouch..." A small shock is felt.
"You..." Ulon smiled,
"You're destined to hold up the world, Adam Lowel," Ulon said, as the Earth Scale is seen... Adam places his hand on it... A swirling arcana surrounded his hand, as brown is replaced with the normal light blue.
"!!!" And in his head...
"You shall walk the path of those before you... To claim my might and uphold the world."
"..." The arcana is siphoned into his body...
"!" And opening his eyes, a small glow is seen, as around his eyes...
"He is the chosen one," Ulon said, as scale-like patterns surrounded his eyes...
"By Calaban above..." Dan is just...
"Adam..." Zariah is heartbroken and sad... Their first son... Now a destined child of the world... To uphold it and allow the earth to stay true, and allow the mortals to walk it once more.
'This is new...' Adam thinks to himself, as he can... Feel such familiarity.
'Oakamo...' Adam thinks, as the image of a man is seen, as the earth was his domain... His demigod colleague, Oakamo, the Demigod of Earth!
***
It has been a heavy load to carry, as Adam is in his room, focusing...
'If it works like regular arcana... Then...' Adam tries his hardest, but nothing.
'Goodness...' Breathing a bit, it was a lot harder than he expected. Beforehand, he was a master at utilizing arcana!
'Must be because this body is that of a human...' Adam felt HORRIBLE.
'So... Arcana works via training... Huh.' When he was alive, he could control arcana to a LARGE extent. He can use it to part the seas, control elements, but nothing to the extent of the other demigods who could make tornadoes form with a flick of their fingers. But this power works well by manipulating PURE arcana, oddly enough, small sources of water, to create things from his memories.
Basically, Alaric has the weirdest domain and powers that come from it.
Same with Gallinum and Alissia. Butttttt... We won't discuss it further :)
'Great.' Adam looked at his hand.
'How does arcana even work here anyway?' Looking around, he is five years old right now. He looked to find a book, something, on the nature of arcana. Sometimes his universes differ depending on the information given by the mortals, as when he creates a simulation, he dips books, poems, and stories of any kind into the rivers. The water, infused with arcana, "collects" these pages and merges them with the river to create a newly formed universe. These are his "Simulations," which his creation, "Simulation", manages and programs for him.
Even now, he must be doing it right...
"Y-You know, Dionysus... Y-You seriously need to supply our realm with your... Wine!" Simulation said, as despite being a RING AND A EYE, he can drink somehow.
"Oh, you and your creator flatter me. But you know how Zeus is! Maybe ask the other demigods in your realm for such things-"
"You know... How Merlot is... Merlot... Is so stingy...!" Simulation complained, as for a time, he tried to get wine from his realm.
Merlot, the Demigod of Celebration. He's also the creator and manufacturer of wine and is the symbol of celebration in the mortal realm.
"Stingy, hm? Then tell me, how would you rate our drinks? The quality, the taste... Everything." Dionysus always uses Simulation and Alaric to one-up Merlot. While his wine has the best effects, it isn't exactly as tasty as Merlot.
Don't get Dionysus wrong, his wine tastes good to a certain palate. But most... Well, Merlot gets that covered.
"W-Well... From my humble creator... My one true master... Your wine is the BEST!!!!!" Simulation raises its glass,
"SOOOOO GOOD, DIONYSUS! Y-You can't make better wine than this~!"
Simulation's life is simple. Manage the Garden of Castalix, prep any information needed to gift the mortals, and run errands. His life isn't exactly freeing more than a slave, BUT Alaric has been nice to them, and that's all that matters.
From drinks to ventures to the realm of the Greek gods, etc.
After all, the world they govern might be a separate world none can see... But their realms are merely a split that's one whole piece. One piece is split into two realms where Zeus and Dominael rule.
Alaric was born to a woman in the world before ascending into demigod hood. His hunger for knowledge granted him power beyond human comprehension. He controlled arcana, a mythical power that only the gods and their chosen human champions could control. He is truly one of the most talented people, and that's due to his knowledge. He learned from many books and texts on the existence of arcana. Many of the humans called him a witch, but with this power, he became a political figure. He strategized and even got to collaborate with Athena of the Greek God's realm.
"..." Thinking to himself, the young Adam is curious about how his father controls Arcana. It's basic looking, BUT it's still a control of arcana that allows him to utilize the power of the Sky.
He needs to find his place in this world...
'Seems I got my work cut out for me.' Adam chuckled,
'Time to see what this universe has in store for me.'
End of chapter 2.
