(The conference room was quiet, except for the faint hum of the air conditioner. The sleek glass walls reflected the muted cityscape beyond, casting patterns of light and shadow across the polished table, suddenly, the door swung open with a sharp click.)
(Ritik Arushi's personal secretary, stepped in briskly, his face drawn tight with urgency. The usual calm composure had given way to a seriousness that immediately caught Arushi's attention.)
Ritik (voice cut through the tense air):-"Ma'am!! You were right..." Her tone was hard, almost like steel, eyes locked on Arushi without a flicker of doubt.
(Arushi's head snapped up from the papers she was reviewing, glare sharpening.)
Arushi:- "FOR WHAT? AND WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GO WITHOUT INFORMING ME? ...That was an incredibly important meeting! Do you even have any idea what's going on? And what is this nonsense you're rambling about? Just spit it out, I don't have enough time to waste here."
(The words fell like a storm—sharp, biting, impatient—with her hands planted firmly on the table, knuckles whitening.)
(Ritik swallowed and steadied himself, the weight of the news pressing down.)
Ritik:- "Ma'am, as you instructed, our detective has been keeping an eye on Mr. Aahan Khurana. It seems he's connected to the mafia..." She paused, her voice lowering, charged with tension. "And... he is investigating you."
(Arushi let a sardonic smirk curl at the corners of her mouth, leaning back into her chair with a lazy laugh)
Arushi :-"What the hell does he think of himself... Investigating me?" She shook her head, amusement flashing in her eyes. "The information I gave? It reached him, didn't it? That I'm from the USA, from an orphanage, and all that crap?"
(Ritik nodded firmly, eyes unwavering)
Ritik:- Yes ma'am, exactly as you said. We did just as you instructed. But ma'am... how did you know he would investigate?"
(Arushi's laughter faded into a cold, calculating gaze. There was a hint of challenge in her voice as she replied)
Arushi:- "Let's just say... I know how to play their game."
(The silence that followed was thick with unspoken threats, the battle lines quietly drawn in that sleek conference room.)
