Inigo stepped back and pinned a neatly written notice onto the side of the adventurer's recruitment board. The parchment fluttered slightly as the breeze rolled in from the open windows, the scent of baked bread and iron lingering in the air.

Inigo pressed the pin deeper into the wood, gave the notice one last glance, and then turned to Lyra, who was already making herself comfortable at one of the long communal tables. She sipped from a steaming mug of lemonleaf tea, a crossbow case resting beside her seat.
