"I told you. I am just a pickpocket."
"A pickpocket?"
"Ya. Just a p–"
"Do I look like a fool to you? That necklace of yours alone is worth most of my assets." Argus scoffed at the girl's bland lie, "no way in hell is a Umberal thief."
"That sounds like issue of skill to me. Why don't you go around making money instead of tor– I give up."
"Already?"
The girl had a stoic expression on her face as she looked at the hammer placed on her shoulder. She didn't even consider negotiations.
Argus sighs, internally cursing the girl for exploiting(she ain't even aware) his weakness of code. He turned the hammer back to the scroll and tossed it to the corner with frustration.
Meanwhile the crow laughs, watching the drama play out in front of it. It jumped and flew as it willed as if it owner the place and Argus could do nothing about them.
Argus felt frustrated, his gaze lingering on the panel in front of his face as he held his rage within himself and took deep breaths.
[ Code of trial part 5- the judge must not kill a captive until proven guilty.]
Everytime he looked at it, he felt like pulling out his own hair. Having had enough of all this nonsense, he turns to couch where the kid he took in sat.
With exhausted steps he walked to the couch. He forced a fake smile onto his face, trying his best to not worry the kid but, the kid could already see the exhaustion on his face.
The innocent eyes locked onto him like a radar and Argus watched in astonishment as the kid stood up and begins patting him like cat.
"I am fine ki–... Do you have a name?" Argus asked with anticipation and instantly had his hopes crushed as the child shook it's head in denial.
" My my. A nameless kid and a grown man in one house. I smell something wrong here." The girl commented with a smug face. Her mind almost readable with a look.
" KEEP THAT DAMN NOSE AND DIRTY MIND TO YOURSELF OR I WILL BREAK THEM RIGHT NOW!" Argus screamed at her, tossing his hammer as he said so.
The hammer hit one of the chair legs and the Umberal girl fell straight on her face. Luckily her nose didn't get broken but there were still a hint of discontent on her still smug expression.
Turning his attention away, Argus looked to the child who he could tell was a boy from its appearance and more importantly- his skills.
The system showed the boy as a nameless human of age 7, not a decent number for someone wandering down in the underworld of the city.
Argus picked the boy up into his arms, cuddling it like a baby as he looked up into those innocent glittery eyes and felt his cold shell collapse into them.
" Avilapse. That's what I would call you from today." Argus declared with pride, his internal spreading as if it was Virus as the kid giggles in happiness.
With the kid still in his hands, Argus moved towards the computer and started it. The screen turned on, the password screen still there as Argus looked around for any notes.
He didn't want to risk his access to it because of curiosity, so he searched through the house for any clues and found nothing but some junk and few rotten rats.
He cleaned the house from the little rodents. Moving around as he spared none of the vermins that lived in his new house like a new owner chases away old tenants after a take over.
" Phew. Finally done." He mutters to his himself. His gaze wandering to the sides as not a single speck of dust could be seen anywhere. Anywhere except the ground where the thief girl wa-, "huh? Where is she?"
Suddenly he felt bloodlust from behind, his body feeling chills as quickly turned around with the broom to block an attack that never came. Instead a dagger or a fist, his eyes were greeted with a pair of open arms as girl lunges onto him.
She circled around his body, her limbs moving like snakes as she pulled Argus into a body lock. "Should have done a better time check my pockets."
Argus couldn't breath, his neck already within the girl's grasp as he struggled for any bit of air and slammed his elbow towards the girl. However it passed right through her and soon his entire body did as she phased through him.
He fell backwards, his body crashing into the floor as he hit his head onto the ground. The girl used the moment of shock to grab onto Argus again.
Argus's scroll moved, twitching as it felt it's owner calling for it and flew right towards Argus as hit the girl on the back of neck on its way. Argus had planned this and now he grabbed the girl pinned her onto the floor.
"You should have escaped Instead. Now die." He whispered to her coldly, his fist already moving towards her head to end it with a finishing blow.
However The girl smiled, "Oh really?" She said in flirting tone as the crow came from the side at crashed itself into Argus's face and made his fist hit the floor instead.
The girl moved, her hands and feet coiling around Argus's torso as she did the unthinkable. She sealed his lips with her own.
Argus was left speechless and thoughtless, his mind blanked out in real time as he failed to comprehend what was happening right now and just knelt there with his knee still on the girl's stomach.
'This feels.. wierd." He thought to himself as he locked his eyes with his opponent and saw as her eyes turned from hostile ones to ones filled with content.
The girl pulled them both together, his force tightening with each second as she enjoyed herself. However Argus's brain finally begins working again as he found himself in a embarrassing position.
He pushed himself away from her, retreating back as he grabbed the scroll and pointed it at the girl with great caution. "Why did you do it?"
"Why? I was hungry." The girl replies nonchalantly, her feet moving towards the couch while she licked her own lips with a flirty gaze that kept staring at Argus.
Argus felt rage bubbling inside, his first kiss stolen from him forcefully by his enemy and in between a fight as well. "GET BACK HERE! WE AIN'T DONE YET!"
The girl on the other hand smiled as she heard him. She tilted her back as she turned around while sitting on the couch. " With pleasure." She said as lunges again, jumping onto Argus.
However Argus caught her mid lunge and held her from her shirt like a annoying child. He looked at her with disgust, "Don't you have any dignity?"
"Humph *pouts* Dignity doesn't bring me the sweet mana I need to eat." She grumbled as she hung from Argus's grasp.
Argus was confused, "Mana? I thought Umberal ate souls?" He exclaimed in surprise and curiosity and recieved a disappointed gaze from his prisoner.
"What sort of half-assed Encyclopedia did you read that in? It's been over two thousand years until we shifted to eating mana instead."
" Can't you just. You know, eat the mana in the air?"
"Nah. That thing as chaotic and mix tasted as leftovers in a dumpster, bad for any guy trying to eat them without refining it as your own."
Argus sighs, almost questioning his trust on eclipse as he shifted his Attention to the spirit watching the drama unfold right in front of it from the core.
' You need to update yourself.' he said telepathically to Eclipse with a disappointed tone and pitying expression.
Eclipse felt insulted, it was one thing to disrespect it but questioning it's knowledge was the biggest insult in it's book. 'You will regret this.' it said furiously as it sent a buttload of mana into Argus's body.
Argus felt like being electrocuted as he felt his entire body being strengthened yet also felt he was experiencing hell. His strength weakened as he fell on the floor, mana from the core overwhelming his own mana as he fell on the floor.
The girl fell from his grip as Argus staggered and now she felt the leaking mana that kept pumping out like a river and looked at him as if looking at a treasure.
She thought to herself for a minute, "I should just escape while he is.. but this mana *drooling* It smells so good!". She questioned herself for a second but her hunger took over as she let herself to.
She grabbed onto Argus like a teddy bear, sapping away at his mana like a mosquito as she kissed him lip to lip.
Meanwhile, Avi looked at the two adults with confusion, his mind not understanding a thing that was going. So his childish curiosity took over as he also joined in for the hugs, completely unaware of reality.
