Back to the present.
After finishing sword training with Lisa, Allen walked toward the academy gate.
He saw a scenery outside the academy he had never seen before.
"Alright, students. Please get on this carriage and enjoy your journey," said Erina.
They boarded the horse-drawn carriage.
Not long after, the carriage departed toward Katanuri Village.
Soon, they arrived at a cliff.
The cliff shimmered with particles of light.
"Hey, where are we?" asked Allen.
The man riding the horse replied, "You need to climb that cliff."
"That's impossible," Allen said firmly.
"Why?"
"Just look at it. It's too steep and tall. There's no way we can climb that."
Magumin casually walked past the two who were arguing and began climbing the cliff effortlessly.
"That woman can do it," the man said.
Lisa, Amaterasu, and Kamui followed and began climbing the cliff as well. Lisa climbed with only her legs.
Allen paused for a moment.
"See? Those four can climb it, so why can't you?" the man said before riding away on his horse.
Allen tried to climb the cliff, but he didn't have the strength.
"Are you sure Ms. Erina gave us a good team?" Megumin muttered.
"It's fine," Allen replied awkwardly.
They continued the ascent.
Allen tried to use magic, but his overflowing energy started leaking again.
"Hey, Allen. Can't you control your energy? It's dangerous," Kamui warned.
"Sorry, ever since the fight with Uno, I haven't been able to control it."
"If your energy keeps leaking like that, it'll attract monsters," Kamui said.
Allen chuckled.
"Come on, man. We're so high up. No monster's going to climb this far," he said, pointing down the steep cliff.
"Yeah, but I'll warn you… there's a dragon here."
"Haha, dragons only exist in fiction!"
"Use your eyes. That thing is real."
"Then have you ever seen it?"
Everyone went silent at Allen's question.
They reached the first rest post.
They took a break and had some drinks.
While they were eating, Kamui pulled Megumin aside into a small room.
"Hey, how far is it from here?" Kamui asked.
"About 50 more meters," Megumin replied.
"Still pretty far."
"Yeah, why do you ask?"
Kamui took a deep breath.
"I'm worried the dragon might actually attack."
"We're with the guy who beat Uno, and we've got the top students of the academy. We'll be fine."
"Hahaha, you're right."
After chatting, they returned and continued eating.
Then, they resumed their journey.
Halfway through, the ground started shaking.
"What's happening?!" everyone shouted.
Amaterasu lost her balance and fell, but Magumin caught her in time.
"Thanks," Amaterasu said.
Suddenly, a wyvern pounced on Allen.
It had blood-red eyes and looked enraged.
It bit Allen and threw him off the cliff.
Kamui mocked, "Careful, Allen, that's a dragon!"
Allen drew his sword.
He slashed at the wyvern, but the burst of energy from his attack attracted more wyverns.
They came from all directions.
"You idiot! Control your energy, Allen!!" Amaterasu shouted.
One wyvern managed to get close and bit Allen's arm off.
He screamed in pain—but his arm regrew instantly.
Kamui unleashed a lightning slash.
"Don't think we won't help a dumb friend," he said.
Amaterasu dashed toward a wyvern and stabbed it with a poisoned knife.
She repeated the attack on the other wyverns.
Megumin drew her katana and charged at the wyvern leader.
Allen killed one wyvern and kicked it off the cliff, hanging by his sword.

Allen remembered the energy within him.
He absorbed the overflowing energy to cast a spell.
"Lunar."
A blast of radiant light erupted, instantly killing the monsters.
The other wyverns dropped from the sky, leaving only the leader.
Amaterasu and Kamui were thrown from the wyverns they were riding.
Allen quickly dashed with lightning speed to catch and bring them back to post 1.
Once he ensured their safety, Allen returned to face the leader wyvern.
But then he noticed something.
"Wait... four legs, two wings, a much larger body… is that a real dragon?"
The dragon exhaled fire toward Megumin.
Allen rushed in just in time to save her.
The dragon flew back and unleashed a powerful wind spell.
Working together, Allen threw Megumin onto the dragon's back.
She struck with a powerful slash.
But the dragon didn't die—it exhaled again, turning the air icy cold.
Allen swiftly returned Megumin to the resting post.
Then, he turned to face the dragon alone, clenching his fist.
"This ends now."
He surged forward with lightning energy.
"My speed surpasses millions of times the speed of light."
He stabbed with his sword.
"Atomic Cursed," a dark spell that attacks the soul and erases it completely.
After the battle, Allen returned to post 1 to reunite with the others.
