After help arrived, they began to continue their mission.
It was still early in the morning, so most of the construction workers were still awake. Leo and Faris questioned them one by one to find out if there were any strange or unique things that had happened since they arrived.
On the other hand, Dahlia and Kania helped Anjie search for the strangeness. They checked various locations, and observed magical energy from their radar.
Then not far from there, Izrail was in a place that was not easily seen, to watch over and guard them from monsters that might suddenly appear.
As for Karen, she warmed up the rations they brought, while checking for damage that her weapon might have suffered, because she had pushed herself too hard.
When it was late at night, they all gathered again.
Karen: "It seems like you guys found some things."
Dahlia: "There are probably a lot of things we can talk about. Let's eat first, I'm starting to get hungry."
Izrail: "You've been eating chips the whole search."
Dahlia: "That's not true. I only ate some freeze-dried avocado. Look, there's still some left over. Do you want some?"
Izrail looked at the snack wrapper that was almost empty. Izrail was about to refuse, but he thought of something, and accepted the wrapper.
They all then took turns taking food, and ate together.
When Izrail noticed Dahlia sitting near him, he saw Dahlia's bowl that only contained meat and vegetables.
Izrail: "You didn't take any rice."
Dahlia: "I have a little trouble digesting carbohydrates, so I usually rely more on fat."
Izrail: "That means you won't be able to get full."
Dahlia: "I can still digest simple carbohydrates from the fruits and vegetables I eat, so at least I won't feel hungry. Besides, this is innate, so I'm used to it."
Izrail: "Is it troublesome?"
Dahlia: "I don't know. I just rarely feel full because I need to control my eating limits so I don't get hypernutrition."
Izrail: "I can see that you're growing well."
Karen: "The lack of carbohydrates will make the body burn fat into calories. So I don't think it's too bad because Dahlia doesn't have to worry about getting fat."
Izrail: "Hmmh..."
After they finished their respective meals, they began to share the information they had gathered.
Dahlia: "When we checked around the Places that had a fairly high magis energy density, we only found a few fluctuations from all the places we went to."
Anjie: "As I explained before, this surge in magical energy is likely due to the fluctuations that appeared. But since the amount and level of fluctuations didn't seem enough, I assumed there was something else causing the condition to be like this."
Dahlia: "Because of that, we repeated our search and tried to find something else."
Kania: "Then by chance, we found something that was obvious. Look at this." Kania displayed a hologram screen from her tablet.
Anjie: "As you can see, there are so many places where the magis energy level is low. Whereas magis energy is a Wave-Particle that can spread."
Dahlia: "But they are actually concentrated in several points."
They noticed the colors that showed signs of magis energy density almost forming a circle.
Izrail: "Something is attracting them. Could a Blast Vortex be happening?"
Anjie: "The possibility is not low. But what we are investigating is the current incident, not later."
Faris: "The wind movement in this place is not strong, that means it is not because of a wind vortex."
Dahlia: "Wind vortex?"
Leo: "Some of the people we asked said it had happened more than once, and thought that it was a common thing in this place, that's why they didn't say it before."
Izrail: "What about the others?"
Leo: "They said they had seen some people doing something with a tool. They were probably just explorers, or people who had been here for quite some time."
Faris: "But a few days ago, one of the guards saw a young man who was thought to be one of ours, because he was wearing a battle suit. The young man said he was just an explorer who wanted to meet his friends.
Karen: "Do you think that man has something to do with all of this?"
Izrail: "Possibly. Do we know where he is?"
Leo: "That man has not been seen since the day before yesterday. However..."
Faris: "We found something else."
Leo and Faris immediately took the others with them to a place. It didn't take long for them to arrive in a fairly large area, and saw some kind of line or crack in the air that emitted some kind of spark.
Dahlia: "This is... Dimensional Crack? Why didn't we realize this from the start?"
Leo: "Because it just appeared."
Dimensional Crack is a spatial crack that occurs due to chain reactions and high magical energy density. Dimensional Crack is said to be connected to the Imaginary world, a place similar to the quantum world, but more complicated due to the magical energy factor that fills the place.
Anjie: "It seems like it's still unstable. With this size, there's a chance it'll disappear on its own."
Dahlia: "But if we leave it alone, the magis energy that comes out will attract the attention of monsters. Hm? Wait, is the Dimensional Crack the one that's causing so many monsters?"
Faris: "That's the highest possibility. Let's get rid of this thing before it adds to the new problems."
Karen: "How?"
Faris: "Anjie brought something in our car."
They then went to get the stuff from the car that Faris brought, and started assembling it.
A few minutes later, a large device was successfully assembled, and placed near the Dimensional Crack.
Anjie: "I think everything is in order. Now can someone go activate it?"
Anjie was just a normal human, so she couldn't get too close to the Dimensional Crack because she didn't have enough magical energy resistance.
Dahlia, who had A-rank magis adaptation, bravely stepped forward and activated the device. Partly because she was confident in her resistance, and partly because she was interested or simply curious.
When the device was activated, the magis energy slowly absorbed the surrounding magical energy, and formed a kind of spiral.
When Dahlia saw the magical energy reacting and being absorbed into the tank, she was amazed by the display even though she had seen something like that before.
Then suddenly a pair of arms grabbed her shoulders from behind, and slowly pulled her away.
The surprised Dahlia immediately looked up to see Izrail holding her body. Izrail didn't say anything, so Dahlia didn't say anything either because she knew what Izrail meant.
After about 15 minutes of waiting, the Dimensional Crack suddenly closed. The Dimensional Crack could emit magis energy, but it could only use a small portion of the magical energy it emitted to maintain its existence. So when the surrounding magical energy is depleted and unable to support it, it will automatically disappear.
Dahlia: "One is done, let's quickly find another one."
Anjie: "Wait, the device is very heavy, so we have to disassemble it again to make it easier to carry."
Dahlia: "...."
