Chapter 28 - Little Alicia (3)

"Lilly..." Little Alicia looked outside the door and called out.

"Screech..." Suddenly, as though responding to Alicia's call, Lilly's voice came from outside.

With the sound of wings flapping, Lilly landed outside the mansion door.

Magnus walked out of the mansion with Alicia in his arms. The wolf-like creatures and Magnus's guards followed behind him.

"Screech..." Lilly screeched alertly when she saw Alicia in the hands of a stranger.

"Don't worry Lilly, this grandpa was sent here by Little Uncle. Little Uncle asked both of us to go with this grandpa," Alicia hurriedly said to Lilly.

Lilly calmed down when she heard this. "Screech..." She screeched towards Magnus as though asking for confirmation.

"You seem quite intelligent compared to the golden-crowned eagles I have seen so far," Magnus nodded with a chuckle.

He then looked at Alicia curiously. "You know about your Little Uncle, even before I told you about him?"

Alicia blinked innocently. "Mm, Mommy used to tell me about him a lot. Even the old servants of the mansion often tell stories of Little Uncle to me when no one is around. But Alicia hasn't seen him until now."

Magnus rubbed Alicia's head and smiled. "Do you want to talk to him?"

Alicia's eyes lit up. "Can I?"

Magnus nodded. "Of course."

He then took out his smartphone and dialed a number.

At this time, inside Alvin's room.

"Ring... Ring..."

Alvin suddenly heard the ringing of a phone from somewhere. He groggily opened his sleepy eyes and looked around, but he couldn't find where the ringing was coming from no matter what.

"Arghhh..." In frustration, Alvin closed both of his ears.

"Ring... Ring..."

But the ringing continued as though it was ringing directly inside his head.

Suddenly, Alvin thought of the phone Magnus mentioned, and he looked inside his storage ring. Surely, a smartphone could be seen ringing non-stop at one corner of the storage space.

Alvin willed to take out the phone from the storage ring, and the phone appeared in his hand.

On the caller ID, it was displaying as "Grandpa Magnus."

Alvin gritted his teeth in anger and picked up the phone. "You old idiot, I only checked inside the inn this morning. Won't you even allow me to sleep a bit?"

"Hello... is this Little Uncle?" But instead of Magnus's rough voice Alvin expected, from the other side the milky voice of a little girl rang out.

Alvin's face stiffened when he heard the voice from the other end. He suppressed the complicated feelings in his heart and asked, "What's your name?"

"Alicia... I am a slave of Phynicland," Alicia involuntarily replied to Alvin.

Magnus hurriedly snatched the phone from Alicia's hand and looked at her speechlessly. "Didn't I tell you not to introduce like that in front of anyone?"

"Alicia... forgot," Alicia said as she held her doll close to herself.

"Old man, put the phone on speaker," suddenly Alvin's icy voice rang from the phone in Magnus's hand.

Magnus's mouth twitched. With a sigh, he put the phone on speaker mode.

"Little Alicia, right? That's a nice name." Alvin's voice rang from the phone.

Alicia smiled happily when she heard this. "Mom gave me that name. By the way, Little Uncle, is Mom with you? The old servants at the mansion told Alicia that Little Uncle and Mommy have gone to a far-off place to work."

Alvin fell silent when he heard this. After some time, he said softly, "Mmm, she is with me. But she can't talk to Little Alicia at this moment."

Alicia nodded like a little adult in understanding. "Don't worry Uncle, Alicia is not a stubborn child. The old servants have told me that she will come to pick Alicia up once her job is over. So Alicia will wait for Mom."

A small smile appeared on Alvin's face when he heard this. "By the way, Little Alicia, why did you introduce yourself as a slave of Phynicland when you first said your name?"

Magnus's face changed when he heard this question. He hurriedly blinked towards Alicia asking her not to speak anything, but Alicia didn't understand this.

"The people here asked Alicia to always say like that when I say my name. Otherwise, they will beat me," Alicia said in a complaining tone, like a child telling her father about someone who bullied her.

The middle-aged elder of Phynicland and other members of the mansion looked at this scene with raised eyebrows, as this was the first time the usually obedient Alicia ever complained to others about them.

"Beat you?..." Alvin's cold voice rang from the other side of the phone.

But Alicia kept on talking as though she was very close to Alvin.

"By the way, Uncle, this grandpa you sent me has also healed Alicia's broken hand. It is not hurting anymore."

Alvin frowned. "Broken hand? What happened to your hand?"

"It's just a minor fracture, nothing serious," Magnus suddenly interrupted Alicia, who was about to give a lengthy explanation to Alvin.

"Old man, I have a really bad temper, so don't test my patience." Alvin said coldly. "Just tell me, what happened to her hand?"

Magnus sighed. "She was punished by one of the elders here. They broke her hand as punishment for breaking some precious antique."

"Little Uncle, it is not Alicia who broke that big pot, it's Old Master's cat," Alicia interrupted Magnus with a wronged expression on her face.

"Little Alicia," Alvin suddenly called out.

"Mm?" Alicia tilted her head.

"Since they bullied you, tell Uncle what punishment should I give them?" Alvin asked in an emotionless tone.

Alicia thought for some time and said, "Uncle, these people even beat Mom often when she was with me. So give them the punishment with the most pain."

"Oh... they even had the audacity to touch my sister..." Alvin gritted his teeth and said, "Don't worry. Uncle will make sure to fulfill this wish of yours. From now on, if anyone bullies you, you can tell this grandpa. He will take care of it. He is pretty strong, so don't worry, no one will bully you ever again."

"Okay Uncle, Alicia will wait for you and Mother to come back to see me. Also tell Mommy that Alicia misses her," Alicia nodded her small head happily with a smile.

Magnus looked at the little girl speechlessly. He was trying his best to hide all this from Alvin, so that he wouldn't recklessly go to war with Phynicland. But this little devil had already pulled out the safety pin of the grenade. Now the only question is, how many will die in this bomb blast?
