Chapter 14 - THE ONE WHO CARES

"You're not your result, okay? You're... mine."

This sentence is like a unknown experience for him. It's the first ever when someone said this to him and also a elixr like substance.

FLASHBACK MEMORIES

HE IS A CHILD IN THEIR FAMILY WHO IS AN AVERAGE STUDENT, HIS ALL COUSINS ARE THE CLASS TOPPER. HIS BROTHER IS A TOPPER FROM 7TH CLASS. ALL WERE INTELLIGENT AND THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM OF 'ARJUN' BECAUSE HE BORN IN A FAMILY LIKE THIS. HE IS ALWAYS TEASE TO HIS MARKS. FOR HIS MOM HE IS A DUMB STUDENT WHO IS GOOD IN NOTHING ELSE. FOR HIS FATHER HE DOSEN'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING. HIS BROTHER THINKS THAT HE RANDOMLY ROAMS IN STREET AFTER BEIGN YOUNG, HE IS CAPABLE OF NOTHING. FOR HIS FAMILY HE IS A STUPID, DUMB AND A STRANGE PERSON. " NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ABOUT HIM NOR ABOUT HIS FEELING ". ACUTALLY IT'S NOT THEIR FALUT, ARJUN NEVER SHOWS WHAT'S IN HAPPENING INSIDE HIM.

And today it's first time when someone called him with this cuteness, this supportive voice, this feeling.

Arjun's eyes got wet and he stand up his wet eyes then grabbed her hand and said.

"Priyanka you the only one who supports me"

"No! No! it's not me, it's your parents who loves you most, take care of you whenever you're In trouble " Priyanka said with a innocent and a cute face…

"LOVE?" what does this really means?

"when someone really take care of you, worry about you, helps you in any trouble, supports you when you are on alone, stands with you whenever you are alone… this is called LOVE"

One more question "when I'm in a trouble, you help me, you take care of me when I am alone, so you love me?" Arjun said with head down.

Priyanka shocked and her face is red with shy… she reply In low voice,

Yes, I lo-love you!

Arjun thumbs up, stands straight high and screamed OK! I UNDERSTAND 0_0 in a rush..

By his this strange mood swing she got shocked and her reflex worked and landed a slap on Arjun's face..

Priyanka: sorry sorry please! It's not my fault. I didn't done this by my self.

Arjun stood quite, his hand on face and suddenly he grabbed Priyanka's both hand and said that "don't worry I don't mind bcz you are love"

Okay okay! Now lovely boy let's go to class lunch is over..

At class rooms door they both are saying each other to be first to enter but, both stand at door.

In this while their English teacher came and stand quite beside them and sneeks them in their conversation..

The teacher is a newbie in their school. She is laughing in a corner listening to their meaningless talks. Class time is getting over so, decided to interrupt them.

Teacher said "you both! What's the serious between them?"

Mam she is my Love!. Arjun said in a curious way

Teacher laughed and then suddenly in anger "you! Do you know about what's love?"

Arjun closing his eyes and a cute smile on his face " Yes mam! When some one really care about you then it's called LOVE"

The class burst into soft giggles hearing Arjun's innocent but heartfelt explanation. Some boys teased him with little whistles, some girls whispered in surprise. But Arjun stood there proudly, not caring about anyone anymore. For the first time, he had spoken something straight from the heart — and that too, in front of the whole class.

The teacher smiled, half-annoyed but mostly amused.

"Okay lovebird, now take your seat before I make you write an essay on 'What is Love' for homework," she said, lightly smirking.

"Yes ma'am," Arjun said, marching in proudly like a soldier who had won a war.

Priyanka followed, her face still pink with embarrassment, but also hiding a smile that refused to go away.

After Class

The final bell rang. Students rushed out as usual, but Arjun sat quietly at his bench, watching the sunlight slowly slide across the wall tiles. Priyanka came over and sat beside him.

"Why are you quiet now, Mr. Love Expert?" she asked, teasingly.

Arjun chuckled. "Nothing. Just thinking."

"Thinking about what?"

He turned and looked at her.

"About how weird my life is," he said, softly. "One minute I'm the dumb kid in the family. The next minute, I'm standing in class telling the teacher what love means."

Priyanka smiled. "Weird doesn't mean bad."

"Maybe," he said. "But I still don't know how I did that. It just came out... from inside, I guess."

Priyanka looked down at her hands. "That's because it was real. It wasn't from a book. It was from you. That's why it sounded so honest."

There was silence between them for a few seconds. A peaceful, quiet kind.

Then Arjun leaned a little closer.

"Priyanka... when did you start feeling this way about me?"

She blushed. "Umm... maybe the day I saw you sitting alone near the sports field... with that half-eaten lunch and sad face."

"That was my usual mood," he grinned.

"I know," she said, smiling. "But I felt something that day. Like... why no one sits with him? Why no one even asks if he's okay? So I decided, I will."

Arjun stared at her, emotions building again. "You have no idea what you did. You gave me something... no one else ever gave me."

"What?"

"A place. Like, in this world... in this school... even in this life. I was just floating. Now I feel like I belong somewhere."

Priyanka's eyes got a little teary. She quickly wiped them before he could see.

"Stop talking like that or I'll cry again," she said, trying to laugh.

"Again?" he asked, curious.

"Yes," she nodded. "When you were standing outside the class talking to the teacher... my heart was literally jumping out. I thought — this guy has no filter!"

Arjun laughed. "I don't! Especially not with you."

As They Walk Out of School

"Where are you going now?" she asked.

"Nowhere," Arjun said. "Home, I guess. Not that anyone's waiting."

"Don't say that."

"But it's true."

"Still... I'm here."

He looked at her, eyes soft. "Will you stay? I mean, in my life?"

She smiled. "As long as you let me."

They walked slowly, side by side. Priyanka suddenly stopped and looked at him.

"You know, this is the most I've ever talked in a day."

"Same," he replied. "Usually I just talk to the mirror."

"Oh my God, you do that too?" she giggled.

"Yeah. And sometimes I win arguments with myself."

They both burst into laughter.

At a Tea Stall Nearby

Arjun stopped. "Let's have cold drink."

Priyanka nodded. "Yeah, I was hoping you'd ask."

They sat on a broken bench next to the small stall, watching the world go by.

"You know what my brother said last week?" Arjun began.

"What?"

"He told my mom, 'Arjun is just roaming aimlessly. He has no aim. He'll be nothing.'"

Priyanka looked angry. "That's cruel."

"Yeah. But I don't blame him. That's what everyone sees. They don't know what's inside me."

"Well, I do," she said firmly.

"And what do you see?"

"I see someone who's real. Someone who doesn't fake it. Someone who has the courage to stand up and speak in a class full of people. And... someone I've totally fallen for."

Arjun blinked.

"Wow," he said, "but after sometime you are bored from me. And please say it again"

"Nope," she smiled.

"Please? I want to frame it in my memory."

Priyanka rolled her eyes playfully. "You'll get used to it. Because I'll say it every day."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Later That Evening

As they reached the end of the road where they had to part ways, Arjun slowed down.

"Thanks for today," he said.

"For what?" she asked.

"For everything. For seeing me. For talking to me. For that slap—okay, maybe not the slap."

She laughed. "Sorry again! Reflex!"

He grinned. "But I liked it. It made the moment unforgettable."

She leaned a bit closer.

"Arjun?"

"Yeah?"

"I've never been in love before."

He nodded. "Me neither."

"So we'll figure it out together?"

"With all the weirdness?"

"With all the weirdness."

They high-fived softly, then turned to go their separate ways.

But Arjun stopped, turned around, and called out.

"Hey Priyanka?"

She turned.

"You're not just my love."

She smiled. "What am I?"

"You're... my first friend, my first supporter, my first everything."

Her eyes shimmered in the streetlight. She gave a soft nod.

"And you," she said, "are my favorite mistake."

"What?" he asked, confused.

"I mean... I never planned to fall for someone like you."

Arjun grinned. "Weird?"

She nodded. "Weird. Wild. Loud. And loveable."

"Then I'm glad I'm your mistake."

"Goodnight, strange boy," she said.

"Goodnight, my sweet mistake," he replied.

And with that, they walked away, smiling like two kids who had just discovered the secret to happiness — not in perfection, but in being perfectly understood. Even they didn't know about what the love is really, they thinks that someone who care about you is called love person.
