As she stepped into the indoor pool, she didn't see a single person there. Seeing that, she unconsciously frowned. Why would he tell her to come here when he wasn't here? But then she heard a ripple in the pool, she walked closer to it. Yoongi suddenly burst out of the water, sending a loud splash echoing through the air. The sudden movement made her instinctively take a few step back. He abruptly brushed his wet hair back, his gaze on her. His upper body was bare, she could clearly see his tattoo shimmering against the water. Drops of water slid down his muscular chest creating a breathtaking scene.
"Are you going to just stand there?" Yoongi's voice rang through the room.
Nora cautiously stole a glance at him and walked to the pool stopping a few steps away.
His unfathomable gaze swept across her cautious face, his face held no emotions. He scoffed " Are you avoiding me or the pool? "
Nora slightly frowned not knowing if he was angry or just annoyed. She heavily sighed "I might fall".
He swam to the edge of the pool and stretched out his hand signaling her to hold his hand.
Nora pulled off her sweater, dropping it at the resting bench. She walked to the pool, taking his hand. Unlike the beach, the indoor pool was not invaded with the sea waves. The room was filled with utmost silence. Every step she took echoed through the room and every echo rang in her ears. She sat down at the edge of the pool, her legs dangling in the water. The water was not as cold as she thought, it was warm.
Nora's heart thudded in her chest as she looked down at him. Water trailed down his face, outlining every part of his upper body; his pale lips, Adam's apple, collarbone. His large hands caressed her legs in the water making her shudder. She instinctively held her breath.
He blinked, water flicking from his lashes. "Do you want to try swimming?"
Nora shook her head. She looked down at the glistening blue water. Her thoughts were all jumbled up. She didn't want to try swimming again. She could feel the fear creeping up her veins.
"Nora" he held her hands, his dark eyes stuck on her like they wanted to swallow her "I got you out from that water right? Do you think i will let you drown again?"
Nora looked at him with glassy eyes. How was she going stay away from him like this? She was already getting a headache from all this.
"Why don't you try again huh? I will guide you" his eyes were filled with determined assurance.
The look in his eyes brought out an unknown sadness in her heart. Nora nodded thinking she would just enjoy his company now till after the trip.
He gently held her waist, letting her slowly immerse in the water. Nora could feel the water wrapping around her. She sucked in her breath and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him to her.
Yoongi laughed softly "If you hold onto me like that then you wouldn't be able to swim freely".
"I... I can't let go" Nora gasped for air and spoke with a stutter. She instead inched closer towards him tightening her grip.
Yoongi slowly caressed her back as if to tell her she wasn't alone. He whispered "It's okay. I won't let go either".
The warmth of his hands and his voice washed out the worries and concerns that were stuck in her mind. Even though he didn't have feelings for her, he was still there with her. She slowly pulled away from him "What do i have to do?".
Yoongi gave her a reassuring smile " Turn back and hold onto the edge of the pool and try moving".
She pursed her lips and took a deep breath. She turned around, holding the edge of the pool. His hands held her waist below the water, gently guiding her through the waters.
After sometime, she felt his hands slowly losing its grip on her. "Don't even dare!" Panic rushed through her veins and she unintentionally let go of the pool surface.
The water level surged, rising from her shoulder to her neck in an instant. Nora closed her eyes tightly, ready to recieve the cruel backlash of the water.
With a slight jerk, he pulled her onto him and she was back in his embrace. "See? I said i won't let you go right? You don't have to be scared". His calm voice were like sedatives, crawling through her veins and heart expelling the panic that were stuck in her.
She slowly opened her eyes, her shoulders shudders as their eyes met. Seeing that the water had messed up her hair, he brought his other hand to her face. He slowly caressed her hair, tucking her hair behind her ears. "You have been extremely quiet today, what's wrong?" his low voice sounded hoarse, as he talked, his Adam's apple visibly trembled. As he spoke, his voice low and tender, he slowly moved across the water trying hard not to make her notice the way he was sailing through the water.
