When Brock appeared, he stepped into the arena with a calm but commanding presence. His arms were crossed, and his eyes focused instantly on Ash and Pikachu.
"So," Brock said, a calm look on his face. "You're the new challenger?"
Ash nodded, stepping forward confidently. Watching Brock's eyes curiously, "Yeah. I'm Ash from Pallet Town. You must be Brock the gym leader huh?"
Brock's eyes briefly glanced at Pikachu on his shoulder.
"Is this your first Gym battle?"
"Yeah." Ash said already knowing what Brock was going to say next.
"Gym battles are not like street fights , there are rules and regulations. "
"A Pokémon league official battle must follow the rules precisely."
"Yeah I got it ."
"So is using three Pokemons fine with you ?" Brock asked.
"Yeah there's no problem" Ash said thinking, surprised about the 3 v 3 but not overly concerned.
"You've got a Pikachu, huh? Not the best choice against Rock-types."
Ash smirked. "We'll see about that."
"So how long have you been with your Pokemon ?"
"Not sure , probably not even a week I guess but it doesn't matter I have trained them well so I am gonna win this just fine."
Brock nodded ," You seem confident. "
Up on the spectator stand, Misty leaned over the railing. "What do you think ? " she murmured.
Yellow smiled softly. "Ash will be fine. He trained all his Pokemons pretty well ."
Brock reached for his Poké Ball. "Very well.
As a Gym leader I must accept any matches I am challenged to. "
Some of the lights focused on the field as it changed to a Rocky terrain.
"This will be an official Gym battle between Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader, and Ash from Pallet Town. The match will be three-on-three. Only the challenger may substitute Pokémon."
The referee — a boy who looked like Brock just younger (Forest) — raised a flag. "Trainers, send out your Pokémon!"
Ash's eyes lit up. "All right then… Poliwhirl (lvl 27 ), I choose you!"
He threw the Poké Ball high. It burst open in a flash of white light — and Poliwhirl landed on the rocky field with a determined "poli "
"Whirrrl!"
Brock nodded in approval. "Smart choice. Let's see how it holds up. Geodude (lvl 17), let's go!"
He tossed his own Poké Ball, and with a sharp flash, a Geodude appeared, floating mid-air with a growl, fists clenched and ready.
The referee raised both flags. "Battle… BEGIN!"
"Poliwhirl, start things off with Water Gun!" Ash called, his voice sharp and confident.
"Poli!" With a quick inhale, Poliwhirl blasted a stream of pressurized water straight toward Geodude.
Brock's eyes narrowed. "Dodge it and use Rollout!"
Geodude dropped low, barely avoiding the stream of water, then tucked itself into a tight ball and launched forward at high speed, bouncing off the rocky terrain like a cannonball.
"Jump and counter with Double Slap!" Ash snapped.
Poliwhirl leapt into the air with surprising agility, landing just above Geodude's path and bringing both hands down in rapid succession — "poli poli poli !" whap-whap-whap!
The hits connected with a solid thunk, knocking Geodude off its rolling trajectory and sending it skidding across the field.
"Not bad," Brock said, "but try this! Geodude, Rock Throw!"
Geodude's eyes snapped open as it rose up, lifting boulders with both hands and hurling them through the air.
"Dodge and Water Gun again!" Ash ordered.
Poliwhirl weaved through the incoming rocks with quick, sidestepping movements, then unleashed another jet of water. This time, it landed a direct hit — "Geo !"Geodude was blasted backward with a shout of pain, slamming into a rock pillar.
"Dude"
Steam hissed off its body as the Water-type damage sank in. His eyes swirling.
Forest raised the flag. "Geodude is unable to battle! Poliwhirl wins!"
Ash pumped his fist. "Yes! Great job, Poliwhirl!"
Poliwhirl gave a proud little flex and a "Whirl!"
Up in the stands, Misty grinned. "He made that look way too easy."
Yellow clapped softly, eyes glowing. "Poliwhirl's really strong!"
Beside them a alot of kids were whispering with disbelief how could their big brother's geodude lose ? They calmed down and continued watching thinking Ash was just lucky.
Brock recalled Geodude calmly. "Impressive. But I'm just getting warmed up. Rhyhorn(lvl 21), let's go!"
He threw his next Poké Ball — a flash of red light erupted as a massive Rhyhorn stomped onto the field, snorting aggressively. Its horn gleamed, and it scraped its hooves against the rock, ready for battle.
Ash nodded. "Time to switch. Poliwhirl, return!"
" Oh You are calling him back ? Thought you were going to use him for every round ." Brock was surprised, most Rookies would go through every round with force without caring about their Pokémons and giving them a chance to rest. He nodded approvingly. Ash was different from other rookie trainers.
He(Ash) pulled out another Poké Ball. "Pidgeot(lvl 38), it's your turn!"
The Poké Ball soared through the air, and with a dazzling burst, Pidgeot exploded into the battlefield, wings outstretched, feathers shining in the Gym lighting.
"Pi !" it screeched, wind kicking up from the sheer force of its entrance.
Even Brock blinked in surprise. "That's… a fully evolved Pidgeot? Already?"
Ash smirked. "Yup. Think your Rhyhorn can handle it?"
Brock gave a small grin. "We'll see. Rhyhorn, use Rock blast!"
Rhyhorn roared and fired off several jagged stones from its mouth, hurling them at Pidgeot at high velocity.
"Dodge and use Steel Wing!" Ash ordered.
Pidgeot surged into the air, soaring upward with unmatched grace. Its wings glowed a metallic silver as it looped around the stones and dove down at blinding speed.
WHAM!
The Steel Wing struck Rhyhorn squarely on the side — a clean hit. The Rock-type Pokémon let out a grunt of pain and skidded to the side, cracks appearing on its armored hide.
Brock's expression grew serious. "Rhyhorn, Horn Attack!"
Rhyhorn surged forward, its horn spinning like a drill.
"Keep your distance and use Gust!" Ash commanded.
Pidgeot flapped its wings rapidly, stirring up a powerful whirlwind that pushed against Rhyhorn's charge, slowing it down and disrupting its aim.
Ash saw the opening. "Now — Steel Wing again!"
Pidgeot darted forward once more, wings shining bright, and landed a final, solid blow.
Rhyhorn stumbled, legs buckling — then fell over with a crash.
Forest raised the flag again. "Rhyhorn is unable to battle! Pidgeot wins!"
Ash nodded proudly. "Nice work, Pidgeot!"
Pidgeot gave a triumphant cry and soared in a small loop before landing gracefully.
Misty nodded from the stands. " Not bad. His Pigdeot is so strong it's a bit overkill haha . Anyway, He's crushing it!"
Yellow's eyes sparkled. "Ash is amazing…"
Brock returned Rhyhorn silently, then slowly reached for his last Poké Ball.
"You've done well, Ash," he said seriously. "But now it's time to bring out my ace."
He tossed the Poké Ball high.
"Let's go, Onix(lvl 26 ) !"
Waarrhhh~
A deafening roar filled the Gym as the massive Onix burst forth, its serpentine body of boulders towering over the entire battlefield.
Ash's expression didn't change. He just raised his hand.
"Pidgeot, return."
Then he smiled.
"Since You are using your ace I will use mine too "
"Let's end this, Pikachu!"
Pikachu jumped from Ash's shoulder, sparks already dancing on his cheeks.
"Pika-chuuuu!"
Brock vs Ash: Final Round - Onix vs Pikachu

Up in the stands, several of the kids gasped.
"Is that really a Pikachu?! Against Onix?!"
"Is he nuts?!"
Misty just crossed her arms, a small smile tugging at her lips. "They always underestimate Pikachu…"
Yellow's eyes were wide with anticipation. "I think this will be fun…"
Down on the field, Forest didn't even raise the flag yet. He blinked at Ash like he might be the crazy one. "Ash… are you sure? That's a Rock-Ground type."
Ash didn't flinch. "I know. Doesn't matter."
Brock studied him carefully, then gave a slight nod of respect. "Alright then."
Forest raised both flags. "Begin!"
"Onix, use Bind!" Brock snapped.
With shocking speed for its size, Onix lunged forward, its massive body snaking through the rocky terrain.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack — now!" Ash ordered.
A blur of yellow light shot forward. Pikachu darted between Onix's segments like a spark zipping through a lightning bolt. The rock serpent missed completely, twisting itself into a knot as Pikachu skidded safely away.
"Pika pika!"
Brock's eyes narrowed. "Rock Tomb!"
Onix slammed its tail into the ground, cracking the field. Chunks of rock surged upward, aiming to trap Pikachu.
"Pikachu quick attack! Use those rocks as a platform in the air "
When Pikachu was moving faster,
Multiple afterimages of Pikachu scattered like echoes, darting in all directions. Pikachu learned double team during a battle. The rocks slammed into illusions and terrain — but the real Pikachu was already moving again.
"Thunder bolt — now!"
Electricity surged through the field in a controlled pulse. Poliwhirl's water gun attack's water was still on the floor, Onix roared as the static danced along its rocky body — not very damaging, but its massive form trembled, slowing down.
Brock gritted his teeth. "Still not enough. Onix, Dig!"
"Pika?"
The ground exploded as Onix vanished beneath the earth.
Ash smirked. "Wait for it… now — Iron Tail! Straight down!"
"Piiiii… KAAAchuuu!" Pikachu's tail glowed pure silver as he jumped high, then slammed it into the ground.
"Wait what? your Pikachu knows iron tail? "
CRACK!
A shockwave echoed through the Gym. Onix burst from the ground prematurely, staggered and off-balance from the jolt.
"Now! Iron tail finish it quickly."
Pikachu's tail started glowing silver again and attacked with it forward.
Brock's eyes widened. "No way—!"
The iron tail struck Onix right between the eyes.
There was a boom —
Onix let out a groan… then toppled over with a rumble that shook the entire arena.
Forest stared in disbelief.
"…Onix is unable to battle! Pikachu wins! The victory goes to Ash of Pallet Town!"
The crowd went wild — the younger kids leapt up, screaming and crying .
Misty high-fived Yellow without even realizing it. Yellow just clapped, beaming.
Ash grinned and knelt, letting Pikachu jump into his arms.
"You did it, buddy!"
"Pikapi!" Pikachu nuzzled him, tail still faintly glowing.
Brock walked forward silently, recalling Onix. He looked at the ball for a moment, then approached Ash and held out his hand.
"…You've earned this. Not just the win — but my respect. I don't like fighting much but fighting your Pokemons was really a good experience."
Ash shook it. "Thanks. That was awesome."
Brock smiled faintly. "That was more than just raw power. You understood your Pokémon — their limits, their strengths, their teamwork. Most rookies don't think like that. You're different."
He reached into his vest pocket and pulled out a polished gray-and-brown badge.
"This is the Boulder Badge. It's proof that you've defeated the Pewter Gym."
Ash held it up, the metallic shine catching the light.
"Alright! First badge, baby!"
Pikachu jumped onto his head. "Pikachu!"
Misty leaned against the railing. "One down… seven to go."
Yellow nodded. "He's just getting started."
And down in the arena, Ash smiled up at the badge in his hand — a glint of steel and stone in the gym light, and the first real proof of his wild journey taking shape.
He put the badge in the badge case carefully.
"You know Ash raising Pokemon is more of a reward to me than to fight them . I want to be the world's greatest breeder, not the world's greatest trainer."
Brock spoke softly," But I can't fulfill my dreams over my responsibility as the eldest brother, so I can't leave this city. I have observed your Pokemons bond with you. you will certainly be a good trainers and a breeder so will you fulfill my dreams in my place ?" [A/N :- Don't worry Brock your dream of creating a Harem we will fulfill it whole heartedly]
