"This is boring, this isn't the university life I wanted!"
Zhang Shaoqing complained at his desk in the classroom, "Every day, it's either attending classes or playing games in the dorm. Why aren't any girls chasing after me? Why are there no club activities? Why isn't anyone inviting me to parties?"
In the dorm, he was the only one who had joined a club, expecting it to make his university life more exciting.
However, he found that everyone in the club was doing their own thing, and there were hardly any activities.
"Damn it! I heard that the club that invited Wen Yang to a party got reported! All seven or eight people got caught, and now club activities require advance approval!"
"Who's the idiot that reported them! Damn!"
Ning Chu, sitting to the side, propped his chin on one hand and glared at him.
The culprit is right here! Cursing at him to his face, huh?!
Zhang Shaoqing's university life might be dull, but Ning Chu's university life was anything but.
For several days now, he had been anxiously following Wen Yang around, not leaving his side.
At first, he was just like a tag-along, but now he was practically Wen Yang's shadow.
He was wary of any girl, refusing to let Wen Yang talk to them, afraid that it might trigger some kind of plot development.
He was already effeminate enough, and his manhood had shrunk to a mere bean sprout. He couldn't risk anything more happening.
If something triggered again, he might have to make a short-sighted decision and let Wen Yang take the hit, occasionally going along with the plot to delay his own transformation into a girl...
As for what to do after Wen Yang lost his virginity? If things went south, he would just leave.
Luckily, things had been calm these past few days, with no new plot developments.
"Thank goodness tomorrow is the weekend..." Zhang Shaoqing slung an arm around Wang Jie's shoulder, wearing his usual sleazy villain grin. "How about we go out tonight and see what's going on? That bar we went to last time was interesting, wasn't it?"
Wang Jie was tempted but declined, "I've already made plans to raid tonight. How about tomorrow?"
"Forget it, I have to go home tomorrow."
Every weekend, no matter how unwilling, Zhang Shaoqing had to go home and behave.
Though he was a rich second-generation heir, being controlled by his family wasn't all that great.
But compared to Wen Yang...
Ning Chu looked over at Wen Yang.
These past few days, Wen Yang hadn't shown any sign of rejecting him, but as an adult man, he couldn't accept being controlled for long.
It was only a matter of time before Wen Yang rebelled again, and when that happened, any chance of their relationship turning into love would be gone!
"Class dismissed!"
As the teacher on the podium packed up and left, the students in the classroom cheered and began to stand up.
Then Han Jingye walked in through the front door. "Quiet down! I need to take up a bit of your time!"
"Shh~"
Ning Chu glanced at Han Jingye.
Over time, Han Jingye had come to have a good impression of him, so Ning Chu no longer harbored the initial bias and dislike he once had.
"First of all, regarding the school's living allowance, most of your applications have been approved, and the funds will be directly credited to your meal cards."
"The sports day will begin in November, and the New Year's Eve party program selection has started. Please actively sign up with the class monitor to participate. This semester, everyone must participate in at least one group activity or competition."
Clearly, the students were displeased with this, and the classroom erupted in discussion and noise.
"Quiet down! Quiet down!"
Han Jingye shouted a few times, and it took a while for him to quell the students' dissatisfaction.
He then began explaining the sports day procedures and points to note.
"You're planning to sign up for the sprint, right?" Ning Chu switched hands to prop up his chin and looked at Wen Yang, "What should I sign up for? Maybe I'll sit this one out?"
"How about the cheerleading team?"
He rolled his eyes at Zhang Shaoqing and said. "Aren't you worried about getting in trouble? You could get punished."
"Wen Yang, sign me up for the sprint too!"
"What, chickening out already?" Ning Chu seized the chance to mock him, "Weren't you the one leading the charge to curse out the counselor? Swore you'd never participate in any events!"
"Who's chickening out?" Zhang Shaoqing, stubborn and thick-skinned, retorted confidently, "I'm just giving the counselor an out!"
Even though he had dyed his hair back to black, he was still the same two-faced rascal.
Ning Chu didn't really believe Han Jingye's "must participate" rule.
If he skipped all the activities this semester, Han Jingye probably wouldn't say anything, though he might leave a bad impression and hold it against him later.
Han Jingye took up ten minutes, leaving the students groaning in despair.
As the counselor left, Ning Chu got up to leave, but when he turned around, he saw four or five girls already surrounding Wen Yang.
Wang Jie and Zhang Shaoqing were startled and quickly backed away, while Ning Chu froze in place, finding himself and Wen Yang surrounded by a group of girls.
"Class monitor! Sign me up for the 800-meter run!"
"I'm signing up for long jump and high jump!"
"Wen Yang! Are there any restrictions on the New Year's Eve program? Can you explain it to me personally?"
"Add me as a friend! I need some help with something!"
Good grief! So they were all using the excuse of signing up for the New Year's Eve program to hit on Wen Yang, huh?!
Explain it personally? What are you really after?!
It was Wen Yang's first time being surrounded like this.
Fortunately, the desks in the lecture hall were fixed to the floor, so the girls were blocked by the long desk and couldn't pounce directly on him.
"Don't rush, one at a time..."
He was never good at dealing with enthusiastic girls, so he instinctively looked to Ning Chu for help.
Ning Chu glanced around, his face darkening.
These girls! They're all trying to get him killed!
If even one of these girls is tied to the plot, his little bean sprout is doomed.
Bam!
A sudden slap on the desk startled the girls into silence.
Ning Chu, ignoring the stinging pain in his palm, stood up and said sternly, "Disperse! Why are you all crowding around here? Go online at noon and sign up there!"
"And who are you?"
Unfortunately, his sternness didn't carry much weight in their eyes.
"Right, let's not crowd around here. I haven't even gotten the sign-up forms yet; I'll open sign-ups online at noon." Fortunately, Wen Yang quickly chimed in.
He gave Ning Chu a grateful look, he didn't notice that the usually quiet and meek Ning Chu had this assertive side.
Unfortunately, his face was too young, lacking any real authority.
Like a fierce little kitten, baring its teeth and claws, only to be seen as cute.
Out of nowhere, Ning Chu grabbed Wen Yang's arm and led him out of the classroom. "Make way, make way! We're going to get the sign-up forms from the counselor!"
"Excuse us, excuse us," Wen Yang echoed, "We're going to get the sign-up forms."
Finally escaping the classroom and the group of girls, Ning Chu let out a long sigh of relief.
He was quite pleased with his quick thinking.
If he had hesitated, Wen Yang might have been claimed by one of those girls.
Hopefully, they didn't trigger any plot points.
"Can't you be a bit more assertive?" Ning Chu turned back to glare at Wen Yang and let go of his arm, "You just can't resist a pretty face, can you?"
"It's not that... they're all girls, and it wouldn't be right for me to be harsh with them, would it?"
"I'm a guy too! You see what I did just now? Just yell at them!" Ning Chu scolded angrily.
Wen Yang couldn't help but feel like Ning Chu was getting jealous.
