Chapter 19 - Gateway to Opportunities

Ryan sat inside the control hall, leaning against the massive stone chair. His thoughts were tangled as he stared at the floating screen in front of him, where the system displayed the progress of his mission.

[First Establishment Task: Recruit 100 Disciples]

[Current Disciples Recruited: 3/100]

Ryan stared at the number in shock. Only three? It felt like he had been punched in the chest. He knew rebuilding the sect would take time, but this slow progress?

Before he could delve deeper into his thoughts, a new notification appeared from the system.

[Alert: Upon completion of the task, you will be rewarded with the Chemistry Hall!]

His eyes froze for a moment. The Chemistry Hall? He wasn't exactly sure of its capabilities, but just the fact that it existed meant a huge boost for the sect. If he could recruit a hundred disciples, he would get a whole hall?

But how would he find the rest? So far, he had only three, and all of them had joined by chance. Where would he find the rest?

As if the system read his thoughts, another notification appeared.

[Alert: In two days, a Sect Recruitment Event will be held in the Capital!]

Ryan's eyes widened. A recruitment event? That meant the sects would compete to attract new disciples. There would be dozens, possibly hundreds, of talented youths looking for a place to cultivate.

But… he didn't know much about the capital, let alone the entire mundane world. As if sensing his confusion, information started flowing in front of him.

[Loading information about the Mundane World…]

A massive map appeared in front of him, revealing the vastness of the world.

The Mundane World was divided into five main kingdoms, each controlling several states:

1. Tianlong Kingdom – The most powerful and influential, home to the grand capital where the recruitment event would take place.

2. Bicheng Kingdom – Known for its strong warriors and martial traditions.

3. Xinghuo Kingdom – A center for trade and political alliances.

4. Huangshan Kingdom – Home to ancient sects and spiritual beasts.

5. Fuxing Kingdom – Known for its focus on mysterious techniques.

Ryan felt overwhelmed. He hadn't expected the world to be this vast.

Then more details appeared about the state where the Celestial Sect was located.

[Yangzhou State]

One of the southern states of Tianlong Kingdom, it contained many powerful forces:

Major Sects:

White Tiger Sect – Specializes in direct combat, with strong influence.

Cleaving Sword Sect – A powerful sect known for its supreme sword skills.

Wandering Cloud Sect – Focuses on spiritual cultivation and escape techniques.

Noble Families:

Mo Family – Controls a large portion of the trade in the state.

Ling Family – Possesses a private army and is famous for deadly spear techniques.

Jiang Family – Specializes in forging weapons and magical treasures.

Powerful Clans:

Crimson Wolf Clan – A group of fierce warriors relying on exceptional speed.

Silver Fox Clan – Masters in stealth and deception techniques.

Golden Eagle Clan – Masters of incredible flying techniques.

Ryan felt as though his mind exploded with the amount of information. This world was far larger than he had imagined. He had thought the Celestial Sect was just a small power in a simple world, but he had been completely wrong.

Then another surprising notification appeared from the system:

[Warning: Other sects are targeting the same talents. The Wandering Cloud Sect and White Tiger Sect are planning to recruit rare talents by any means necessary.]

Ryan clenched his fist. That meant it wouldn't be a simple competition; it would be a fierce struggle for the best talents.

After absorbing these facts, his eyes narrowed as he read the final line.

"Then, I have only two days to prepare?"

He stood up, despite the lingering pressure he felt, and headed toward the control room door. He knew he couldn't go alone. He needed a plan, a way to ensure he recruited the strongest disciples.

Upon reaching the meeting hall, he found the Celestial Dragon there, still pondering the last roar. He looked up and gazed at Ryan.

"It seems like you have something on your mind."

Ryan replied seriously, "There's a recruitment event in the capital in two days. I need a way to attract the strongest talents to the sect."

The Celestial Dragon laughed, "Recruiting humans? Hah, it's harder than you think."

"That's why I need your help," Ryan said. "How can I make sure I attract the right disciples?"

The dragon smiled slyly. "It's simple... you need to make them realize that the Celestial Sect isn't just an option, it's destiny itself."

Ryan narrowed his eyes. "Do you have a plan?"

The dragon stood slowly, an aura of royalty surrounding him. "Of course... but are you ready to take risks?"

Ryan smiled confidently. "As long as the Celestial Sect returns to its former glory, I'm ready for anything."
