Evah continued at a leisurely pace, "So, to give this lousy playwright the ending he deserves, I turned him into a puppet and decided to gift him to the Evernight Church. It's a fitting end for him."

Dunn, hearing this, didn't know what to say, his emotions a tangled mess. He glanced at Ince Zangwill, then at Lucifer, and finally said sincerely, "Thank you so much for your help, Your Highness Lucifer."

No matter what, without Lucifer's intervention, they'd have suffered heavy losses—possibly even Tingen's destruction.

Klein eyed the puppetized Ince Zangwill, a bit stunned but feeling no pity. With everything Ince had done, this was the outcome he'd earned.

"No need to thank me. You all put on a spectacular show, and this ending is what you deserve," Evah said with a smile, adding a reminder, "I didn't erase Ince Zangwill's consciousness. Once your people take him, I'll release the puppetization."

"Got it. I'll notify headquarters," Dunn said, nodding quickly before explaining, "Actually, though we didn't know about Ince Zangwill, I sent a distress call to headquarters when the True Creator's spawn appeared. They should be sending strong reinforcements soon, capable of handling him."

Evah nodded in acknowledgment. After a few seconds, he noticed Dunn hesitating and smiled. "Anything else you want to ask?"

"Your Highness Lucifer, I know Ince Zangwill took 0-08 when he defected. His ability to orchestrate all these coincidences in Tingen likely came from 008. Do you know where it is now?" Dunn asked, steeling himself. He knew it was risky to question an angel who'd just saved them and thwarted a major plot, but as a Nighthawk, he couldn't ignore 0-08's whereabouts.

Whether this Lucifer had taken it or not, Dunn needed a clear answer.

Klein's smile froze, inwardly marveling at his captain's guts while prepping to smooth things over.

Though Lucifer seems to have it out for me, haha… Klein gave a wry chuckle in his head.

At Dunn's question, Evah's golden eyes turned to him. Dunn stiffened under the gaze but didn't flinch.

A few seconds later, Evah smiled, genuinely praising, "You're brave. No wonder you're the star of Tingen's story."

Then he added with a grin, "0-08's not with me. Adam took it."

"Adam?" Dunn clearly hadn't heard the name.

"Angel of Imagination Adam. Some higher-ups in your church know of Him. Just report it as is," Evah said, smiling.

Angel of Imagination… Dunn still didn't know who Adam was, but the blunt title told him this was another angel.

Tingen's high-Sequence density is getting ridiculous… Klein couldn't help but grumble inwardly. By his count, there were already four angels in or recently in Tingen that he knew of.

Weren't angels supposed to be rare? Why do they feel so common?

Klein mentally roasted.

"I understand. Thank you for telling me, Your Highness Lucifer," Dunn said, trusting Lucifer had no reason to lie about this.

Evah smiled at that, his gaze shifting to Klein. "Now that Tingen's performance is over, what's next…"

Klein got a bad feeling.

Snap—

The next second, his bad feeling came true. With a snap of Evah's fingers, Klein turned into a black cat.

What the hell!

Even Klein couldn't help cursing inwardly, but all that came out was "Meow~ meow~ meow~."

"Your Highness Lucifer, what are you doing?" Dunn's pupils shrank, instantly on edge.

"No need to panic. I just have some private matters to discuss with this kitty gentleman, so I'm borrowing him for a few days. Don't worry, I'll return him," Evah said, beckoning toward Klein the cat. Some force lifted Klein, floating him to Evah's side.

Evah casually picked up Klein, expertly scratching his chin, then shot a mischievous glance at his belly and below. Klein the cat promptly clamped his legs shut, his tail whipping up to cover the critical area.

"Hahaha, why so nervous? I'm not gonna neuter you," Evah burst out laughing, sparing the mortified Klein further teasing. He held him normally and turned to Dunn.

Dunn's face was tense. If Evah weren't an ally blessed by the Evernight Goddess and hadn't just saved them, he'd probably have charged to snatch the cat back.

"Well, goodbye, Mr. Dunn," Evah said with a chuckle. The next second, the space around them turned vivid and chaotic. When the colors settled, Evah and Klein the cat were gone.

Dunn stared, almost dazed, at where they'd vanished. As a seasoned Nighthawk, he suddenly felt at a loss.

How was he supposed to explain this to Klein's family? He couldn't just say Klein got turned into a cat and whisked away by an angel!

"…I hope His Highness Lucifer was telling the truth about just borrowing him for a few days," Dunn muttered with a wry smile, glancing at the unconscious Leonard. Judging he wouldn't die anytime soon, Dunn grabbed Saint Selena's Ashes and rushed to the Chanis Gate.

Without the Ashes' suppression, the Sealed Artifacts behind the Gate were already stirring. The other Nighthawks were holding them back, but Dunn needed to return the Ashes fast.

A few minutes later, the Heart of Machinery and Punishers, dispatched after the distress call, finally arrived at the ruins of Blackthorn Security Company.

"Mr. Lucifer, where are you taking Klein?"

Elsewhere, Evah, having just traveled through the Spirit World to a new location, heard Azik's voice.

He looked up, unsurprised, to see Azik, who'd arrived just moments after him. Since Evah had already stepped in, Azik hadn't shown himself, quietly observing from the sidelines. But when Evah took off with Klein the cat, Azik followed right away.
