Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: Shouting Leodero with the Sun God

Seeing Evah didn't deny it, the Ancient Sun God gave a gentle smile. "Evah, deep down, you're actually a very kind person."

"Thanks for the compliment," Evah said, grinning at the praise. Then he added, "By the way, we've got a bit of summon time left. Mind coming with me somewhere?"

"Where?" the Ancient Sun God asked, curious but with a slight bad feeling.

"Backlund's Storm Church parish, St. Samuel Cathedral," Evah said, blinking at him. "We'll shout Leodero together and give that stormy old pigeon a little Creator shock."

The Ancient Sun God fell silent for a moment, sighing helplessly, but then smiled. "Sure. I'm curious too—after all these years, what'll Leodero's reaction be when he sees me?"

He agreed, even knowing his appearance before Leodero could spark a chain reaction. On one hand, he knew Evah was a mischief-maker at heart—if he didn't indulge this prank, Evah might just ditch the deal out of spite. On the other, he was genuinely curious about Leodero's response.

"Wait a sec, let me switch accounts," Evah said, gesturing to the Ancient Sun God. He vanished briefly, reappearing seconds later in his Lucifer persona.

The Ancient Sun God, unfazed by the change in appearance, studied Evah's new look and asked curiously, "This is your alias?"

"Yep, my official-use alias. You can call me Luciferiel or Lucifer," Evah said, introducing himself briefly.

"Lucifer…" The Ancient Sun God raised a brow. He'd heard the name, of course. Though never officially recognized by churches, Lucifer's legend was, in a way, widely known.

"Fitting, right? Lucifer, the false angel, just like this alias," Evah said, grinning. He placed a hand on the Ancient Sun God's shoulder, and in a flash, they stood before St. Samuel Cathedral.

As one of Loen's mainstream faiths, St. Samuel Cathedral was bustling with believers, mostly men with a few women—very much Storm's style. Thanks to their Beyonder abilities, Evah and the Ancient Sun God's arrival went unnoticed. Evah led the way to a quiet corner, sat down, and looked at his companion. "Griжфж, do you know the Storm old pigeon's current honorifics?"

The Ancient Sun God nodded. "The True Creator told me."

"Then let's chant together!" Evah said, grinning.

Having agreed to shout Leodero's name, the Ancient Sun God didn't mind this small request and nodded.

Together, they recited in unison:

"King of the Skies;

Emperor of the Seas; Lord of the Calamity;

God of the Storms"

At this, Evah blinked, suddenly raising his voice:

"Leodero!"

Boom!

The once-clear sky erupted with lightning, not just a single flash but a rolling barrage lasting over ten seconds, betraying a certain stormy god's inner turmoil.

"Huh, he didn't smite us outright. Has the old pigeon gone soft or just chickened out?" Evah said, hearing the boom of thunder outside. It sounded like the end of the world, yet not a single bolt struck.

Even the tempestuous old pigeon knew to rein in his temper before absolute power.

The Ancient Sun God wasn't surprised, smiling slightly. "Leodero may seem reckless, but he's actually quite cautious."

Evah gave him a "Really? I don't buy it" look, then sighed dramatically. "What a shame. If he'd thrown a bolt, I could've dragged you to beat him up, then snapped a photo for keeps. How great would that be?"

The Ancient Sun God shook his head, amused, and glanced beside them. "You should stop teasing this gentleman."

Unnoticed until now, St. Samuel Cathedral's head honcho, Archbishop Ace Snake, the God's Dove, stood nearby. His face was grim, but he was clearly trying to keep his temper in check.

Evah grinned, turning to the archbishop and even waving cheerfully. "Good to see you again, Archbishop Snake."

"Good to see you too, Your Excellency Luciferiel," Snake said, forcing a smile that looked more like a grimace. "May I ask why you and this gentleman are visiting?"

"No big deal, just dropping by to say hi to Leodero," Evah said, smiling brightly. He stood up. "Greeting's done, so we'll be off."

He glanced at the Ancient Sun God. "Let's go, Griжфж."

The Ancient Sun God nodded, standing as well.

Before Snake could say more, the two vanished.

Archbishop Snake: …

So, what was the point of that?

Are they nuts?

Snake felt his temper fraying, but then a deafening boom rang out—his Lord's wrath. He quickly suppressed his anger, then realized something: Who's Leodero?

...

Meanwhile, in the Astral World—

"What's wrong with them? Are they insane?" Leodero couldn't hold back his fiery temper, cursing loudly. But despite his rant, sensing that familiar presence and seeing that familiar figure, he didn't dare strike.

Who knew if a bolt would bring the Ancient Sun God to his divine kingdom for a beatdown?

"Calm down, Leodero."

A soft, cool voice spoke nearby—the Evernight Goddess, who'd popped over after noticing something off.

"I'm calm. I've never been calmer," Leodero said, taking a deep breath and finally dispelling the lightning over Backlund.

"What happened?" the Evernight Goddess asked, seeing he'd cooled off.

She didn't watch Evah and company constantly, having her own matters to attend to, so she genuinely didn't know what went down, only rushing over when she sensed trouble with the Lord of Storms.
