When we walked out of the building, the streets were calmer and the air was colder.
The night was beautiful, even though the stars weren't as bright as it was away from the city, the moon still illuminated the night.
And the quiet hum of this part of town made me feel at ease.
"We should walk", I said. Damiano's hands paused, he was about to open the car door for me.
"It's not every day I come to these parts of the city", I said with a smile, looking up at him.
His eyes looked more grey now, the green in his eyes was barely noticeable.
"I can walk". He said simply, and we started walking.
After about 10 minutes of walking in silence, I felt the wine from earlier cool my nerves, making me feel even more at ease as I walked beside Damiano.
It almost made me forget the point of the evening, and for those 10 minutes, it just felt like I was walking in town with the man I just had a nice dinner with.
