What kind of feeling would a person who has never worn suitable pants in their life have when they suddenly put on a pair of super comfortable ones?
At this moment, the Hulk felt the kind of relief that comes from a seal being broken after many, many years.
The skin-friendly, soft material was damage-resistant, wear-resistant, and stretchy—perfectly protecting the happiness of his lower body.
This allowed the Hulk, who had always been afraid of tearing his pants and therefore never dared to go all out, to unleash one hundred and twenty percent of his combat power.
With one punch, he shattered the Chitauri warship's ambitions.
The terrifying force made the warship—which could crash through buildings—feel like a speeding car hitting an iron wall. Its insides were violently scrambled in an instant.
All the armor on its body was blown away.
The huge warship, sent reeling by the force, was smashed towards the Avengers.
Tony fired a missile, blowing up the warship that had lost its armor protection.
However, they didn't leave—instead, they focused their attention on the Hulk's lower half.
Don't misunderstand; they were looking at the super-stretchy pants with the cartoon Hulk printed on them.
Barton, who had the best eyesight, hesitated and said, "Did the Hulk's butt… uh… come out just now?"
As soon as he said this, he was met with the Hulk's death glare.
"Where did those pants come from?" Natasha said. "I bet those weren't the pants he was wearing just now."
The group looked at each other, and the Hulk reached out and pulled at the waistband.
With his size, these pants could actually be pulled up—it made him absolutely love them.
"You can always trust Taran Industries' craftsmanship."
The Hulk turned his head and saw John taking a photo with a camera, shaking the developed Polaroid in his left hand.
"They suit you very well," John said, handing the photo to the Hulk. "Hello, just call me John."
"Hulk…" The Hulk stared at the cartoon Hulk on the pants in the photo. Yes, he liked these pants even more now.
And so, John and the Hulk became friends—all because of a pair of pants.
John looked at the Avengers, who looked as if they had just seen a ghost.
He walked towards them calmly. "Thor, are you injured?"
Thor was startled. He hadn't expected John's first action upon arriving to be noticing his injury.
But being stabbed by his younger brother still made it difficult for him to keep a straight face.
"Yes, just a minor injury." He lied—he had stumbled when he came down just now.
Although Asgardians are tough, being stabbed by his little brother still caused a significant injury.
John walked over and raised his hand to touch Thor's wound.
His wound healed quickly, and Thor was greatly amazed. "Healing magic."
"Very effective." John then walked over to Natasha.
Natasha said, "Aren't you going to say something?"
John thought for a moment. "Those two sandwiches are still there, if you want them…"
Natasha rolled her eyes speechlessly and turned her head away.
The Avengers formed a circle, confronting the Chitauri soldiers.
Loki, who was in a Chitauri flier, gave an order.
"All out."
The Chitauri soldiers at the other end of the portal received the order and poured out.
More soldiers were deployed.
On the Avengers' side, Steve also began to make arrangements.
"Keep them busy until the portal is closed."
"Barton, get to the roof and figure out the enemy's marching route."
"Stark, hold your ground. Force anything that approaches within these three streets—east and west—to retreat, or burn them to ash."
The two received the orders and began to act.
Steve continued, "Thor, you need to find a way to block the portal."
"Natasha, you and I will control the ground battlefield."
"Hulk…"
"Interrupting for a moment," John rubbed the bracelet on his wrist, tapped it, and said, "Do you mind if I drop something down?"
"What?" Steve was startled.
They saw ten huge boxes falling rapidly from the sky.
During the fall, the boxes disintegrated in the air.
They then turned into individual components and quickly assembled on the street according to pre-set positions.
Component by component, they assembled like building blocks, forming a huge fortress covering a hundred meters.
Multiple parts of the fortress opened up and fired artillery shells from within, concentrating fire on one Chitauri warship.
This firepower was even fiercer than Ivan's aerial mode—it completely destroyed the huge warship from its belly.
"You're welcome."
After doing all this, John took off the bracelet and placed it in Natasha's hand.
"I'm sure S.H.I.E.L.D. taught you how to quickly get started operating an unfamiliar machine," John said with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm going to see where Loki is—and give him a beating while I'm at it."
He turned and waved.
Then, with a flick of his magic wand, he disappeared.
Natasha stared at the bracelet in her hand, then at the empty spot where John had vanished.
Below Taran Tower.
A modified green motorcycle with a cool, streamlined design was moving rapidly.
Hattie wore a helmet and accelerated through the streets, drawing a gun attached to the motorcycle's body and aiming at the Chitauri soldiers ahead, firing.
The bullets had armor-piercing effects, taking care of the Chitauri blocking the way.
Someone waved at the side of the road.
She squeezed the brakes, leaving a long tire mark on the ground as she stopped in front of the person.
Hattie opened her helmet and looked at her Boss. She said testily, "Where did you go?"
"Me?" John shrugged. "Saving the world, of course."
He pointed to the sky, where the Steel Soldiers flying past were chasing and attacking the Chitauri soldiers.
Artillery shells fired from the ground were bombing the Chitauri warships.
John was curious where Hattie had been during the initial chaos.
"I was afraid you were outside." Hattie told John to get on the motorcycle. "Taran Tower has already deployed defenses—let's hurry over."
"No need," John mainly came down because he saw his assistant speeding on the street. He shook his head. "You just go back."
"You're not coming with me?" Hattie's eyebrows shot up, and she demanded, "Where else are you going?"
"A guy just froze me into a block of ice," John grinned. "I hold grudges too."
He waved his hand, telling Hattie to go back.
It was touching enough that this girl would specifically come out to find him.
Hattie was not happy when she heard this. She caught up to John and grabbed his hand.
John grabbed her hand back, and Hattie's surroundings spun, turning into the inside of Taran Tower.
Before she could speak, John disappeared again.
Leaving Hattie to lean against the office trash can and vomit.
Loki's eyelids twitched—but unfortunately, in Asgard, there was no saying about a left eye twitching for wealth and a right eye twitching for disaster.
He was flying over New York in a Chitauri flier, watching the brave Avengers and Steel Soldiers, and a gloomy look flashed in his eyes.
He hadn't expected there to be so many forces of resistance on this planet.
He even saw for a moment his own Destroyer Armor getting a sword straight through a warship.
If the style hadn't been different, he would have thought his father was wearing the Destroyer Armor to righteously eliminate his own family.
The current situation was not the one-sided steamroll he'd expected.
Multiple Steel Soldiers were destroyed after running out of ammunition, but the army also quickly came to cordon off the streets and replace the weapon boxes for the Steel Soldiers.
Taking New York was more difficult than expected; Loki's face was grim.
"Blasting Curse!"
As he was thinking, a beam of light struck.
It went straight through the flier, turning into a big explosion that sent Loki flying out.
Loki was blown out and crashed into a building, falling rapidly.
He adjusted his posture in the air, brought his hand close to the building, leaving a hideous dragging mark on the outer wall.
Loki fell to the ground and looked up.
John was shaking his magic wand in his hand, raising an eyebrow, and returning a phrase to him: "Surprise."
Loki's pupils contracted. He had actually gotten out of the ice?
The magic wand pointed diagonally downwards. John smiled. "Let me see."
"Can a God die?"
