Back in the council chamber, the three remaining figures watched the empty space where Elara had vanished.
"Well, you're in trouble now.""
One of them muttered.
Solarin remained standing, his hand still faintly marked from the contact with the black mass. He didn't seem bothered.
"She has her eyes on my world, yes."
The third figure leaned forward slightly.
"You do understand what that means, don't you? Elara won't stop. You've seen what she's like when she's convinced of something."
Solarin nodded.
"It changes nothing. Let her look. I've hidden nothing. If she wants to waste time chasing ghosts, I won't stop her."
"You're awfully calm for someone being hunted by a madwoman with a grudge."
The second figure said.
"There is no threat in truth. And if she's so desperate to dig up the past, she may find more than she's ready for."
Solarin replied simply.
