After formally introducing himself, Jia Quan respectfully bowed to Mu Yuan, formally paying his respects to this Protector-General of the nation.
Wang Fugui, on the side, called out to the others who were so engrossed in chatting that they had left him aside:
"General, please join Boss Jia and me for a meal. Xiong Da and Xiong Er, you take these two young brothers down to rest. General, your arrival is just in time. I've just encountered some troublesome matters..."
Wang Fugui reached out and led Mu Yuan towards the pavilion in the deep southern courtyard.
Ling Yan and Hou San were led by the two guards, Xiong Da and Xiong Er, towards the guest rooms in the north.
After taking a few steps, Mu Yuan suddenly turned around and called out to Ling Yan:
"Mu Ling, come with me."
"Yes, General."
Ling Yan's face showed no emotion as he turned around and strode back to Mu Yuan's side.
