In the morning. I woke up to Angelique's singing because she was in my room.
First thing she asked when I opened my eye's, is what did you dream about. I was wondering why for a few moments, because I was still sleepy, then it clicked into place.
We have a Spikeres in the kraal and if she is asking me this, it means that! I also have a new ability to work on.
My thoughts being.
Yes, I should work on it before I accidentally, scare myself again.
I woke up quickly brushing past Angelique before saying. I dreamt of nothing, lots and lots of it.
It felt pretty good, to have her be the curious one for a change.
I headed for the bath to prepare for the day. When I was done, I went to the kitchen to find mom and Angie laying out the food for breakfast.
I walked up to mom, gave her a kiss on the cheek and went to sit down in my usual spot. Once they where done placing all the food, they sat down, we said grace and started to eat. While we where eating, we started to here low bellowing sounds.
I looked up at mom simultaneously with Angie and she said with a smile. I guess our guest are hungry so it is time to release them. Unless if you guys are planning to get them more food?
We did not actually respond because we where trying not to be rude, like we had been taught! but getting so many leaves just for one meal was enough work yesterday. The type that we would rather not do twice or three times in a day.
We stood up and walked out to the kraal, with mom trailing right behind us.
I guess mom understood that we, where willing to rather release the Spikeres, back to the forest.
Where it could get it's own food.
When we got to the kraal. The mother Spikeres was standing just in front of the wooden gate, with her little one's on the one side towards her back leg.
The little one's where probably still scared of mom.
I went ahead and opened the gate. Then she walked out passing Angie and mom on the way out. Just after she had passed me.
when she got to the edge of the forest. She looked back made a bellowing low sound, kicking up the dust with her back legs.
The little one's did the same. Mimicking her but with, them the bellowing was just loud breathing, like huffing out and with them, there was no dust at all, when they kicked up like the mother.
Then the mother and her little one's walked into the forest.
We stood there silently listening as the rustlings of the leafs that they passed became more and more, faded. Like we where in a daze.
My stomach chose this moment to protest as it made a long, very loud grumbling sound.
The two ladies laughed because I immediately stormed off, to go finish my food to tame my very obvious hunger.
As funny as this was, clearly they where just as hungry because they came in after I had taken a few bites myself.
They sat down and ate while we spoke like usual. Then I stood up and went to my room to get my strap claws.
I came back out to find mom and Angie still in the kitchen chatting away. I just told them that I will be going to see kiway and Angelo.
Mom made a gesture for me to come to her. I walked back from the door to her. She gave me a hug and checked my strapped claws.
I am not sure what it was, that she was checking about them but, I think she needed to assure herself that I am fine or that I won't disappear.
When she was satisfied with her inspection, I walked out of the hut.
I walked through the forest cautiously, but with enough effort to get to Kiway's hut quickly because I had to tell Angelo! Everything.
Then maybe I will ask kiway, for some help with how I ended up with mud and sand powers.
When I got to kiway's cave. I found him watering the trees outside so I greeted him, then proceeded to greet Angelo.
Without bothering to breathe. I started to narrate everything, that happened to me the day before. Like Angelo had asked me, where I was yesterday.
Grandpa kiway looked at me funny. Not that I cared about what he thought for now. Angelo seemed to be listening so I was satisfied.
When I was done talking. I was out of breath.
Grandpa Kiway then said, so that's what Priska meant, when she said that you where scared of worms.
His remark got Angelo laughing at me again, with his leafs waving while he made some crackling sound.
Grandpa kiway just had an amused smile on his face.
