If it came down to it, Naruto wouldn't just be fighting Konan anymore—he'd be taking on every ninja in Amegakure.
They must have already known someone was attacking the village, especially after everything that had happened before.
"It seems you finally get it," Konan said, spotting the realization dawn on Naruto's face. "I don't know what wind blew you here, but the moment you stepped into Amegakure, we knew. You walked right into our trap. Lord Pain commands every ninja in this village, and now they're on their way to seal away your power. They'll arrive soon. There's no way you can defeat an entire village's worth of ninja by yourself. Give up."
Suddenly, Naruto burst into laughter, leaving Konan puzzled:
"You idiots… I'm a Jinchuriki. Has anyone from Amegakure ever dared to lay hands on one before? Not to mention I hold the strongest tailed beast of them all. Danzo Grandpa has been training me since I was four precisely for situations like this—to teach me how to infiltrate enemy villages and destroy them from within."
Konan's pupils abruptly constricted as Naruto smirked, his expression sly like a fox:
"Don't think I can? Then you'd better get your ninja out of here before I rip them apart. Oh wait, wasn't capturing tailed beasts the whole reason you started this anyway? Tell me, if this were happening in your own village, would you still want to keep fighting? Let's find out who comes out on top!"
With that, Naruto leaped off the high-rise building, diving straight down toward ground level, using his tail to break his fall.
As he neared the ground, he narrowed his eyes—several Amegakure ninja were already waiting there, ready to apprehend him.
With a deafening crash, Naruto slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater and drawing everyone's attention. He raised his head and saw the enemy ninja already lined up, weapons drawn, hesitating between charging forward or retreating until one of them shouted:
"Capture the Jinchuriki alive! For Lord Pain's great vision! It is the will of God!"
At those words, Naruto couldn't help but chuckle bitterly—even the Nine-Tails joined in with a laugh.
The ninjas of Amegakure actually wanted to capture him alive—they were clearly brainwashed beyond doubt, blindly following Pain's orders because he was "God."
They wouldn't risk their lives defying their 'God's' plan, because everything they did served a greater cause—one far more important than themselves.
But Naruto had no such limitations.
He unleashed a deafening roar that sent the determined Amegakure ninja hurtling backward. They soared through the air, crashing into shops and stalls lining the streets, shattering windows, collapsing walls. The unluckiest ones hit their heads so hard against solid walls that they didn't even have time to scream.
Naruto looked up at Konan circling above at a low altitude, and an idea sparked in his head. Instead of fighting defensively, he decided to take the initiative.
He glanced at the ninja who had stumbled back to their feet after his first attack, and coolly said,
"This is why you want the Jinchuriki, right? Let's test just how much you can take. Let's see if your so-called god shows up to save you."
After saying that, Naruto looked down at his sharp claws and charged at the Amegakure ninja who hadn't yet recovered from the shock.
Despite their agility, the ninja quickly snapped out of it, but Naruto was still unstoppable as he carved a path through the crowd.
Though the Amegakure ninja followed someone they called a "god," they were no match for Konoha ninjas one-on-one.
Naruto grabbed a man who tried to stab him with a kunai and, with a hard squeeze, heard him scream in pain. He could feel his boosted strength shattering the man's bones.
Spinning around, Naruto used the man as a weapon to smash into two other ninja lunging at him. They were probably only Genin.
Then Naruto hurled the man toward another group of Amegakure ninja rushing forward.
He'd used a move like this before at one of Orochimaru's hideouts—only with way more enemies then.
He spotted Konan attempting to trap him with her paper blades, but he channeled wind chakra into his tail and swung it hard, summoning a small whirlwind. This blew away those annoying papers and threw the surrounding ninja into disarray.
Watching the scene unfold, Konan's fury flared. [Wind Release] clashes straight with [Paper Release]... Now this just got serious.
Back in the Forest of Death fighting those cursed spiders nearly broke me—but now I realize, that was some top-tier training!
He swept his hand backward, striking an enemy's ankle, then kicked sideways, slamming the enemy hard into a pillar, likely snapping his spine.
A surge of water erupted from the street, nearly submerging him, but Naruto leapt upward, smashed through a window, and disappeared inside the building.
"He's inside! Hurry, don't let him escape!" shouted a man, and dozens of ninja stormed into the building where Naruto had vanished.
The streets around the structure were packed with Amegakure ninja, surrounding the building completely, waiting for any sign of Naruto emerging so they could strike at once.
