Amasa woke up for school quickly, she was going to be late to the welcoming ceremony. She ran to the bathroom, looked into the mirror, and saw how messy her hair looked.
She only sighed.
Amasa: I'm going to be late to the Welcoming ceremony if I don't hurry.
Amasa brushed her hair and put it into two pigtails. Her hair wasn't too long, It just barely reached past her chin when down.
Amasa Then put on her school uniform and ran downstairs where her grandmother was sitting.
Amasa's Grandmother: I was wondering when you'd wake up. Good Morning.
Amasa: Yea Yeah. Good morning to you too.
Amasa's Grandmother: Will you be eating breakfast?
Amasa: If I do, I'll be late to the welcoming ceremony.
Amasa's Grandmother: Then you'd rather be hungry until lunch time?
Amasa: Nope.
Amasa sat down at the dining table and started eating breakfast until her grandmother wanted to start a conversation.
Amasa's Grandmother: So, You got a boyfriend?
Amasa spit out her soup, which went all over her grandmother's Face.
Amasa Coughed.
Amasa: W-What Kinda morning talk is this! I'm eating! Plus I don't talk to anyone at school anyway. And no one wants to talk to me. How would I get a boyfriend that way! I don't want one anyway!
Amasa's Grandmother chuckles.
She wiped her face.
Amasa's Grandmother: Yes but it would be good to have one Y'know. I'm very old and I might die soon so, it's best to make some friends or something for when I'm gone... Unless you want to live alone.
The room was silent for a moment.
Amasa got up from the dining table and walked over to the front door where she put on her shoes and left.
While walking to school, Amasa thought to herself.
Amasa(Thoughts): What does she mean by "I might die soon". She needs to know when it's appropriate to say stuff like that.... Geez.
Amasa was lost in thought when someone ran into her while holding coffee, causing both of them to fall.
Some Guy: Watch where you're going bone head!
Amasa: Y-YOU RAN INTO ME! AND THEN YOU GOT COFFEE ALL OVER MY NEW SCHOOL UNIFORM!!
The boy looked at the ruined uniform.
Some Guy: W-We go to the same school?
Amasa: I guess so but I'm going to be a first year.
Some Guy: Yeah, Me too.
Amasa scoffed.
Amasa: Yea okay.
The guy got up and reached out his hand got Amasa, but she got up herself.
Some Guy: That was so rude. Someone reaches their hand out for your sake and you just ignore it. How polite.
Amasa: Yeah I know, I am so~ Polite. Anyways I got to go before the welcoming ceremony starts.
Amasa started walking away but the guy grabbed her hand.
Some Guy: W-Wait! I forgot my bag at home and we still have some time before the welcoming ceremony so I was wondering if you could come with me?
Amasa: Your ba- WAIT! I FORGOT MY BAG TOO!!!
The boy chuckled.
Some Guy: I guess we both forgot our bags.
Amasa ignored him and started running back home, the guy started running back to his house as well.
Amasa barges into her house's door and took off her shoes.
Amasa: I'm home! I forgot my bag!
Amasa ran upstairs quickly.
She ran into her room and grabbed her bag.
Leaving the room door open, Amasa ran downstairs and put her shoes.
Amasa: I'm not letting that weirdo beat me to school!
Amasa's grandmother: What about that huge stain on your uniform?
Amasa looked down. She forgot about the stain that the "Weirdo" Left on her.
Amasa: I have no time for that, I have to hurry.
Amasa barged out of the front door only to bump into a girl that was walking outside.
Some girl: Ouch! You made me drop my bean bun!
Amasa: Ugh so what!? I gotta g-
A guy bumped into the two girls, all three of them fell.
Some Guy#2: I'm sorry b-
Another guy tripped over them and fell.
Amasa: You're that Guy from earlier!
Some Guy: Yep
Then another guy, while running, tripped over them.
Amasa: Ouch! What the heck! What's up with people keep bumping into me! I'VE GOT A WELCOMING CEREMONY TO GET TO!
Everyone but Amasa: ME TOO!
They all got up and started running, people look at them strangely. What's up with those group of kids?
They continued to run towards the school when the girl Amasa bumped into introduced herself.
Some Girl: My name is Hikari Sakura! What about you guys?
Some Guy: My name is Takahiro Kenji.
Some Guy#2: My Name's Makoto Shinji Yo!
Sakura: Is the "Yo" Part of your name or what?
Shinji: Nope.
Guy#3: My name is Tomo Kazuki.
Everyone's thoughts except for Kazuki: HIS VOICE IS SO GLOOMY!
Amasa: M-My name is Amasa...
Everyone stoped running but Amasa.
When she noticed that everyone had stopped running, she did too.
Amasa: W-What?
Sakura: You're joking right?
Amasa: No...
Kenji: Also what's with the cosplay?
Amasa(Thoughts): Here it goes again... The judgement of others about my looks and my name.
Amasa: Y-You don't have to believe me but this is my real look. You got a problem?
Kazuki: I thought so... You guys don't have to believe me either but I have magical abilities and I can sense when others do... Amasa here has those abilities. But the Strange thing is... All you guys do too.
It went silent.
Sakura: Y-You guys all have magical abilities? Like me?
Kenji: I-I do but I ain't joking.
Shinji: Yo this is so cool! I thought I was the only one! No way~!!
Amasa's heart pounded.
Amasa: Y-You guys aren't joking right? You're not making fun of me?
Shinji: No way man! Why would we? I'm honestly surprised myself! I never knew other's had abilities!
Kenji: Yea but how did Kazuki know?
Kazuki: You guys can't sense it?
Everyone but Kazuki: SENSE IT?!
Kazuki: Yea
Amasa: Well we'd better get the the welcoming ceremony or we'll be la-
They heard the school bell ring from afar.
Shinji: We'd better hurry!!
Everyone ran quickly, as fast as they could. Shinji was ahead of everyone, He was quick. Behind him was Sakura, she was also quick. Then was Amasa, Kenji, and all the way in the back was Kazuki.
They all made it in time. They barged into the welcoming ceremony, were everyone was wondering when the speaker would arrive. Everyone was startled. Kenji ran towards the stage and got on it.
Kenji: I'm sorry for being late, Forgive us.
Kenji bowed his head, then he began the speech.
After the speech, everyone applaused. Everyone started leaving the auditorium but Amasa, Sakura, Shinji, and Kazuki waited for Kenji .
When Kenji Got off the stage, he walked over to them.
Shinji: Yo~! You were the representative this whole time!
Kenji: Yeah.
Sakura: Wait. Are we all friends now?
Amasa's heart pounded
Amasa(Thoughts): A-Are we?
Kenji: Yeah if you guys wanna be friends that is.
Sakura and Shinji: Of Course!
Kazuki: Yeah sure I guess.
Everyone looked at Amasa.
Amasa: W-What?
Kenji: Are we your friends?
Sakura: I mean, we all have magical abilities so we totally should! It's like fate or something!
Shinji: Yeah totally!
Kazuki: Can you just answer, I wanna look at the roster so I can see which class I'm in.
Shinji: You didn't check?
Kazuki: I didn't feel like it.
Shinji: You're really lazy Y'know?
Kazuki: Yeah.
Amasa: You guys sure you want to be friends with someone like me?
Kenji, Shinji, and Sakura: Duh!
Kazuki: Yeah
Amasa: Well I guess we're friends then...
Sakura: So can we all call each other by our first names? Well, Amasa only gave us her first name anyway.
Kenji: Yeah right. Amasa, what's your surname?
Amasa: I'd rather not say.
Kenji: Ok. Well I'm okay with you guys calling me by my first name.
Kazuki: I don't care wether you guys call me by my first name or not.
Sakura: I asked so I'm totally fine with you guys calling me by my first name.
Shinji: I want you guys to call me by my first name too. So I guess we're all on first name bases.
Amasa: Yeah I guess so...
Amasa(thoughts): I'm glad that we're all friends. Finally, after so long... I finally have friends to last until my curse kills me.
