As Ren looked up, their eyes met. Jerry gave him a long, unreadable glance—like she was searching for something in him. Then she smiled, a soft, mysterious smile that made Ren's heart skip a beat. In that small, silent moment, something unspoken passed between them—something that felt like a beginning.
We see that after two days of rest, Ren is finally ready for training.
Levina and Jerry are warming up, but Ren is wearing only shorts.
Ren: "But why am I in shorts?"
Levina summons a creature made from her Shisou. It looks like a man made of wood and stands about 7 feet tall. Levina orders the creature:
Levina: "Take them to the training area."
They all leave for the training area.
They are soon standing in front of a large mountain.
Ren (to the creature): "Where are we? And where will we train?"
The creature makes some hand signs, and a gate opens in the mountain. The creature gestures for them to go inside.
They go inside.
Within two minutes, the light shifts, and they realize they're inside a hollow mountain. Creatures like wooden golem start to appear.
The golem closes the gate, and they understand they have to fight these creatures.
The creatures begin to rush toward them.
Ren: "We don't have much time to think—we have to attack!"
Jerry hears this and nods. She pushes forward. Near her, a magical circle appears, and from it, chains start to emerge.
Jerry (shouting): "CQC! (Close Quarter Combat!)"
The chains from the magical circle wrap around her hands.
Jerry: "It's time to start!"
She dashes forward faster, punches one creature, then another. A slightly bigger creature attacks her—she dodges and gives it a strong roundhouse kick. Its head falls off.
She continues to attack.
Ren watches from the corner.
Ren: "She's great… but what should I do?"
More creatures spawn near Ren.
Ren starts to run.
Ren: "Oh no…!"
The creatures chase him.
Ren (thinking): "What the hell do I do? I don't have my Shisou—I gave it to Aratsu. That means I have nothing to fight with… and I don't even have Kento."
---
PAST SCENE:
Ren is picking up Kento for training.
Levina: "Today you'll train without Kento. I want to see your potential."
Ren: "But… but…"
Levina: "I said no."
Ren agrees.
---
PRESENT SCENE:
Ren (thinking): "She didn't let me bring Kento… but she doesn't know I don't have my Shisou."
A giant creature appears in front of Jerry. It's wielding an axe.
Ren: "Oh shit… he's got an axe! If I could grab that axe, I might stand a chance."
Jerry prepares to face the creature.
She tightens her fists; the chains slithering around her arms begin to glow faintly with kinetic energy.
The creature roars and charges at her.
Jerry stands her ground, exhales slowly.
Jerry: "You're tough… but I'm faster."
She mutters, eyes blazing.
Suddenly, the chains coil tightly and launch her forward like a slingshot.
Her fist slams into the enemy's gut with a deafening crack. Before it can react—
SNAP!
The chains recoil, pulling her fist back and instantly launching another punch.
Then another.
And another.
A storm of fists rains down on the enemy like steel hail. Her chains snap back after each hit, recharging her punches with explosive force.
The air shakes with the barrage.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM!
Each punch is harder, faster, sharper. Her speed doubles with every recoil. The massive creature is overwhelmed.
Jerry (yelling): "Chains Recoiled: Iron Tempest!"
Just as Ren planned, he leaps over the creature and grabs its axe, distracting it. Jerry lands the final hit.
The creature is defeated.
Ren lands, relieved—but suddenly, a strong creature punches him. He flies back 10 feet. Blood pours from his mouth as he struggles to stand.
The creature tries to punch again, but this time Ren dodges. He remembers how Kento used to slash enemies and mimics the motion—successfully killing the creature.
Ren stands, bleeding.
Ren: "Now I know how strong Kento really is."
He yells and charges a group of creatures, taking down two or three—but is eventually bitten and begins to lose consciousness.
Ren: "No… no… I cannot die again."
He lost his consciousness
