Jin Itsuki is so over the bullshit.
The stupid Boss is calling him to another area in Tsurugi again, telling him about some dumb disturbance in the area caused by some weird orange-tele tubby demon. God, he just came back from a mission prior; had to take care of some lame demon trying to take over a human soul over cookie dough from some old lady--jeez, the missions lately are so boring and weird, Jin might as well retire from the organization, but he can't because he won't be able to find what he's looking for--or who, more specifically.
"Did you hear me, Mad Dog...?" The voice in his ear makes him want to throw away the ear piece in his ears and roll his eyes so hard he can see stars, but he just chooses to stiffly smile, even though Boss can't see his expression.
"Sure as hell did." Jin said, letting out a loose sigh, standing on top of a building with his arms crosses as he watches the horror scene from a high angle. "Why didn't you get Haruki to do this? Riku? Even Himari--anybody but me, I beg for a break Boss. It's hard enough writing this job off on my taxes-."
"You were the closet to the scene." The Boss said, their voice flat, monotone, laced with static. "Handle your shit, then take a break after. Do your job."
The line ends abruptly, causing Jin to sigh, lift the ear piece in his ear, and fights the urge to throw it on the ground, so instead he chooses walking away as he lets out a huff.
Jin sighs, rolling his eyes and fixing his black glasses on his face before he still, hearing loud yelling and crying from the street view. Jin raises an eyebrow, watching as a large, grotesque monster kills and eats people to its liking, going as so far to swiftly kill a little girl and carry on, eating and killing whatever and whoever is in its path without care.
"Devils, eh?" Jin said, a stale, emotionless smile on his face. "They just love causing messes. My lucky day."
Jin looks at the dismembered body of a little girl, his black eyes drawn to the short boy falling to his knees, his body shaking as sobs wrack his body for the small girl. Jin quickly looks away, griping the sheathed sword in his hands, his eyes trained to focus more on his suit's jacket than the death at the bottom on the world that he stands at the top of.
Jin sighs, softly shutting his eyes before he readies himself to drop below, but a big boom--the sound of a loud explosion--causes him to whip his head around. His dark eyes are wide, staring at the short boy standing up, his fist faced to a now destroyed building, heavy orang and red flames in the form of three tails twist around his right arm--four fire tails on his left, and his eyes are a bright, ruby red, his teeth now carrying sharp fangs, his ears long and pointy, and the most abnormal change to his once normal body is the large, ruby eyeball in the middle of the short, muscular boy's head, narrowed like the rest of the boys eyes as the boy stares at the monster with a emotionless face.
"What the hell...?" Jin mumbles, holding his fingers to his ear piece, readying himself to ring back Boss for the surprise he's left to witness, but he stops, watching the monster roar, raising its hands at the short boy and slamming them down, causing the ground to break, cars to slide and tumble from the spilt pavement, and people to scream, getting knocked into each other or off the road. Jin raises his eyebrows, waiting to see the dead body of the strange boy, but nothing is there.
Jin blinks, but his eyes widen in surprise, seeing the short boy appear from behind the monster in a flash, like he became a flame and disappeared, grabbing the monster by one of its arms and using his strength to through the monster into a tall building, causing smoke and a ray of explosions to come out of the side of the building.
The monster roars, lagging and hanging on the building as its eyes blink, appearing confused and surprised by the sudden attack. The monster looks up, its eyes meeting with the short boy who's hanging on the top of the tower's building by a large flag pole, his three eyes narrowed as a smile curls over his face.
The boy easily plunges his feet on the side of the building, using his muscled arms to rip the top of the building apart, swinging his arms back and free falling as he uses the top of the building as a sword, plunging the building in the monsters belly, poking through the monster's stomach and causing it to scream as the boy and the monster plummet to the ground.
The boy whips his head up, standing onto of the shaking monster under him as his arms covered by flame-like tails, his eyes are narrowed with glee and rage as the boy stands with one leg near the flag pole of the top of the broken building, his other leg swinging in the air as he's easily able to jump of the pole and grab the monster by its head.
"I'm not done with you yet." The boy softly said, his ruby eyes menacing as a smile makes its way on his face. "You can't die. You are not allowed to."
The boy rips the building's top from the monster's body, causing said monster to screech in pain, and uses his strength to grip the monster's head and throw the monster into another building far away, causing an even bigger explosion from before--powerful enough to impact a surrounding building and cause it to spilt apart and fall to the ground, crushing and smashing whoever or whatever doesn't escape in time.
Jin watches with shock and surprise, blinking as he watches the boy rush forward, his speed unmatched to any he's seen as he clenches his fist and rams it into a tall building, watching the building stagger and fall before grabbing the broken fallen tower and swinging it like a blade--cutting down the building the monster was lodged in and surrounding skyscrapers within range. Buildings were falling, fires were erupting, explosions were setting off, people were dying more than before, and Jin sighs, realizing that he should probably step in and contain the situation before the mess he has to clean gets even bigger than this.
Jin sighs, backs away, and rushes to the buildings ledge and jumps, waiting a few seconds before he swings his sword, creating a thick, black layer of ice for him to slide down the rest of the way until he lands a few feet behind the boy, his taller statue making it easy to pear down at the shorter man.
"Hey." Jin said, causing the boy to stop, turning around with narrowed eyes and a blank face. "You just caused me even more work. You should feel a lil' bad about that, no? That's not a nice thing to do, eh?"
The short boy blinks, tilting his head, but then he grins, offering Jin a big, curled smile.
