Chapter 34 - Negotiations with the Military, Purchasing the Water of Life!

Obviously, Hong acknowledged the value of the two formulas, and the next step was to agree on the percentage of royalties.

In the end, they settled on a 1% royalty for each basic formula sold by Ye Yu, and 5% for each intermediate formula.

With those royalties in place, Ye Yu could make money while lying down.

"Then, let's have a pleasant cooperation!"

Once the business was done, Yao Rao extended her fair, slender hand with a charming smile and shook hands with Ye Yu.

"Pleasure doing business!" Ye Yu responded with a smile.

"Sister Yao Rao, don't forget my gift. You promised me, remember?" Ye Yu reminded her again.

"You little rascal! You already have a Qiankun-class intelligent fighter, and you're still eyeing my king-level one?"

Yao Rao rolled her eyes at him.

"That's different. A deal is a deal, a gift is a gift. Can't mix them up," Ye Yu replied, grinning.

"What are you two talking about? Laughing so happily?"

At that moment, Tang Qin approached with a dignified middle-aged man — none other than Jia Yi, the top figure in the military.

"Sis, you're here! We were just discussing our partnership," Ye Yu said.

"I see!" Tang Qin smiled. Jia Yi beside her looked thoughtful, already guessing what was going on.

"You all carry on — I'll go check on Jiang Fang."

Yao Rao knew they had something important to discuss, so she stood up, stretched lazily (highlighting her graceful figure), and walked off toward Jiang Fang in the distance.

After Yao Rao left, Tang Qin sat down beside Ye Yu, and Jia Yi took a seat opposite him.

"Not bad at all!" Tang Qin whispered in Ye Yu's ear.

She and Jiang Fang had been observing the entire negotiation between Ye Yu and Yao Rao.

Since Yao Rao came looking for Ye Yu, of course they paid attention, and the young man's performance left them impressed. A War God facing a Planet-level powerhouse without showing the slightest fear — even chatting and joking with her.

Originally, such a major negotiation would have required their assistance.

Even though Jiang Fang was from the Extreme Martial Hall, Ye Yu was like a younger brother to her.

Yet Ye Yu had always been independent and strong-willed. He took care of himself and never needed anyone to worry about him. Sometimes, he even looked after the two of them — almost like he was the older brother.

Watching him handle Yao Rao on his own, they chose not to interfere and simply let him shine.

"Young and capable indeed!" Jia Yi exclaimed, looking at Ye Yu.

When he learned Ye Yu had become a high-level War God at just 18 years old, Jia Yi couldn't help but marvel at how fast the world was changing.

"You flatter me." Ye Yu replied respectfully. He held deep respect for Jia Yi, who, during the Great Nirvana Period, had saved millions single-handedly and eventually died at the hands of the Golden Horned Beast in order to save Earth.

After a bit of small talk, they got down to business.

Jia Yi had clearly come for the formulas. They had long suspected Tang Qin was hiding something.

Otherwise, how could she have trained so many elites in the past two years?

Others might be fooled, but not Jia Yi — the top man inside the military.

What surprised him was that the true creator of the formulas was the young man sitting in front of him.

Truly, the younger generation was not to be underestimated.

Ye Yu didn't ask for anything outrageous. After all, the country didn't have much of true value to offer.

In the original story, when Luo Feng was trapped in Ruins No. 9, the Extreme Martial Hall was supposed to protect his family. Yet Hong did nothing — and even took back the king-level intelligent fighter Luo Feng had purchased, showing his true colors once Luo Feng was gone.

That's why Ye Yu had no reservations when negotiating with the Extreme Martial Hall.

In the end, it was Luo Feng's brother, Luo Hua, who traded the Millennium Blackwood Root for a major shareholding in ICBC, which enabled him to get official protection for their family.

There are two points worth pondering:

1. Luo Feng belonged to the Extreme Martial Hall. Why didn't Luo Hua turn to them for help?

2. People say that after Luo Feng died, his family couldn't keep the king-level fighter. That's nonsense. If they truly were in danger, the fighter would've helped them escape. And if they handed it over to any major power, they'd get protection in return.

Back to Ye Yu's negotiation with Jia Yi:

He asked for two Black God combat suits, three king-level intelligent fighters, and several sets of SSS-grade high-tech equipment.

Additionally, he requested that Tang Qin and himself be allowed to hunt a few king-level monsters in collaboration with the military.

Lastly, the production factory must be placed under the jurisdiction of Tang Qin's Security Division.

Ye Yu didn't want his creation enriching private interests — an outcome that would be hard to avoid otherwise.

Just like the Wang family in the Kyoto region — not a decent person among them. That Wang family brat's mother even worked at military headquarters.

Ye Yu knew that once he handed over the formula, people like them would definitely get their hands on it.

So from procurement, to production, to final sales — everything must be under strict monitoring by the Security Division.

As for the royalties: Ye Yu only asked for 0.5% on the basic formula — half of what he charged the Extreme and Thunder Martial Halls.

After all, he himself had triggered this butterfly effect, so he had to do his part — starting now.

Ye Yu wanted to give ordinary people a real chance to grow stronger.

But the intermediate formula remained at 5% — because once someone reaches War God level, money becomes irrelevant.

"I'll return and expedite funding, acquire materials, and prepare for production," Jia Yi told Tang Qin.

It was clear that once Huaxia, the Extreme Martial Hall, and Thunder Martial Hall all went into full production mode, the price of materials would skyrocket. They needed to stockpile in advance.

"Don't worry — we've been preparing for this for a while now," Tang Qin replied.

Ever since Ye Yu shared the formula with her, she'd been getting ready.

Over a trillion's worth of materials had already been stockpiled.

"That's great!" Jia Yi smiled with genuine satisfaction.

With the formulas in hand, the number and strength of martial artists in Huaxia would surge.

Still, he added, "It's not enough."

A trillion may sound like a lot, but with the basic formula costing 10,000 per dose, it would only buy 100 million doses.

Divided among the six major base cities, the military, tens of millions of troops, and military schools — each person would only get 10 doses.

What good is 10 doses?

Fortunately, the military has plenty of one thing — beast meat.

These basic ingredients could all be refined using the hearts of high-tier beast generals, maximizing the medicine's effect.

Also, intermediate formulas could be used to quickly promote elite War Gods.

One War God is far more valuable than hundreds of basic soldiers — the best resources must be used where they matter most.

As for fairness?

First, you have to survive — only then can you talk about fairness.

After the banquet came the monthly auction on the 15th.

However, neither Huaxia, nor the Extreme or Thunder Martial Halls, had any interest in attending.

Auctions happened every month — missing one didn't matter.

So after the banquet, everyone logged off.

Ye Yu, however, purchased several units of Water of Life from America.

This stuff was a top-tier healing elixir.

Even a wounded Planet-level powerhouse could fully recover with just one dose — so it was wise to stock up.

Better safe than sorry.

Knowing his close ties with Tang Qin and Jiang Fang, the other party was happy to build ties with Ye Yu and sold him five units directly.
