Chapter 49 : Peace negotiation? No Peace
Kenthelion did not attack in the name of the remnants of humanity's forces or the remnants of the human federation, but in the name of the Human Empire.
He merely wanted to inform the races of the universe that humanity still possessed a civilization.
Whatever those aliens thought-it was none of their concern.
As for the freed human slaves, Kenthelion gave them two options. After all, a strong melon that isn't sweet is still useless. One option was to become an honest citizen of the Human Empire; the other was to be given a ship and fall in love with wherever it might take them.
Some chose the first. They saw hope in this new empire, hope for the rebirth of mankind.
To them, even dying on the battlefield was better than being tortured to death by aliens.
Unfortunately for Mok'thar's brother, Mok'Zar, he fled and abandoned his family.
It's unclear where he went, but he hadn't been found in the days following the battle.
Mok'Zar was lucky to escape before the entire planetary battlefield was sealed off. Other refugee ships weren't so fortunate-they were used as target practice to train new recruits, blasted by Moon-class cruisers.
Kenthelion's iron-blooded methods shocked countless alien species across the galaxy. In their eyes, weren't humans a peace-loving race?
How could they be this brutal?
No one understood where this Human Empire had come from. No one had ever even heard the name "Imperium Caelestis" before.
And seeing the Imperium Caelestis massacre Urg'nok civilians so mercilessly, neighboring alien civilizations quickly decided that this so-called Human Empire was a civilization gripped by extreme racial hysteria.
"Our Emperor has received a communication from Mok'Zar."
The mechanical entity responsible for the Zygorra Flow Galaxy stepped forward before the throne and addressed Kenthelion.
Kenthelion sat upon a throne that once belonged to the Emperor of the Bloodmaw Empire. The previous owner had been carved into eight pieces, ground into meat paste, and turned into fertilizer for Terra's planetary greening project just days ago.
Now, the throne was Kenthelion's.
"Open the channel," Kenthelion ordered the Mechanic Priest.
Nowadays, the daily duties of the Imperial Guard consisted mostly of receiving enemy surrenders, escorting prisoners to the central square, and handing them over to the Inquisition for public execution.
Their secondary tasks had also shifted-from arresting fugitives to transporting corpses, or selecting alien meat with good flavor profiles to preserve and send to the Imperial meat-processing facilities like livestock.
"Emperor of the Human Empire, I am Mok'Zar, the current Emperor of the Bloodmaw Empire. Thank you for accepting this communication."
Mok'Zar's face appeared on the screen, his two tusks glinting.
"Kenthelion Celestus, Emperor of the Imperium Caelestis and sovereign of mankind," Kenthelion replied calmly.
"Emperor of the Human Empire, if you are willing to withdraw your troops from Terra, I am prepared to surrender this star domain to you. If you persist in fighting, I will unite with neighboring races to surround and crush you. I trust you will make the correct choice.
If you continue this war, your people will become our food. Now is the time to choose wisely."
Kenthelion's eyes narrowed.
"First, the Bloodmaw Star Domain has been renamed the Astral Dominion of Caelestis.
Second, it is absolutely impossible for us to withdraw our forces.
Third... I'm completely confused-
Screw you! Let me pull back my troops just so you can slit your own throat in apology? If not, I'll personally come over and do it myself! Eat that filth, you bastard!
Humanity will never be slaves! We'll never be your food! Let me make this crystal clear-
I didn't just kill your father. I'll wipe out your entire family. Let your whole race vanish from the universe!"
"And don't even think about calling for reinforcements! You, your allies, and every alien race in the universe-will be blasted into the heavens one by one by our warships! If you dare show your face again, I'll blow you the hell up!"
"F* your alien mother! I'll wipe your entire f*ing species off the map!"
Kenthelion raised his middle finger at Mok'Zar before abruptly cutting off the transmission.
---
"Have you found him?" Kenthelion asked, looking down at his subordinates-each of them gazing at him with admiration and awe.
Inwardly, Kenthelion sighed.
Why is everyone looking at me like that?
Those words just slipped out-my old keyboard warrior instincts kicked in by accident...
"Location confirmed-Planet Gor'mak!"
The Mechanic Priest replied with visible excitement.
