Chapter 15 - The Angels Tears

Cian's has always been a man whose appearance was undeniably striking.

He had always been a handsome man, and it was a fact that anyone with eyes could attest to.

His blonde hair was perfectly styled, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through my soul.

His angled jawline was chiseled and sharp, giving him a strong and confident air.

As he stood there in a black suit that looked both sharp and expensive, I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my chest.

The suit seemed tailored to perfection, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean physique.

Anyone could tell that the suit was high-end, and Cian wore it with ease.

When he smiled at me, in that very moment I promised myself that I was going to enjoy the evening, without worrying about anything else.

Specifically, I wasn't going to think about Alec and his silence. Even until now, Alek hadn't reached out to me, and I was done waiting.

Tonight, I was going to let loose and have fun, with Sian by my side.

. He was standing there, looking sharp in his suit, his blonde hair perfectly styled. He reminded me of Chris Hemsworth, but with a blonde hair.

He was tall, dark, and handsome, and he had a confident air about him.

"Wow, you look stunning," he said, his eyes scanning me from head to toe. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks, and I smiled, feeling a little shy. "Thank you," I replied, trying to sound casual.

"Are you ready to leave?" he asked, offering me his arm. I nodded, and he led me to the car. He opened the door for me, and I slid in, feeling a little like a princess.

He got in on his side, and we started driving to our destination.

The car ride was filled with small conversations and laughter. He filled me in on how his trip to Ireland went.

We talked about everything and nothing, and I found myself feeling more and more comfortable around him.

Before I knew it, we arrived at the venue. Cian opened the car door for me, took my hand, and helped me out.

We walked up the stairs, and I could feel the eyes of the people around us on us.

As we entered the event, Cian was greeted by the other guests. He introduced me as his date, and I smiled, blushing furiously.

My eyes scanned the room, and my heart stopped beating suddenly I felt breathless as though there wasn't enough air in the room, standing there was Alek looking sexy and impeccable, and by his side Ryurik, my mind immediately went back to the night and morning at Alek's estate.

However what really caught my attention was the woman standing next to him, Natalia, with her hand locked into his arm, and her body leaning into his.

I felt a pang of jealousy, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on.

I tried to school my expression, not wanting to let my emotions get the better of me. But it was hard to ignore the pang of jealousy I felt seeing Alek with Natalia.

Cian seeming eager to introduce me to every business partner of his smiled, taking my hand. "Let's go, I'd like you to meet one of my business partners ," he said, ushering me towards Alek.

Wow just when I had decided to enjoy tonight and not think about Alek, how cruel could fate be, he is standing there with his wife who is minutes away from undressing him and fucking him in front of everyone.

And yeah beautiful he is Cian's business partner and Cian wants to introduce us when all I want is not to think or see the very man.

As we approached, Alek's eyes met mine, and I felt a jolt of electricity.

Cian extended his hand, and Alek shook it firmly. "Alexander, nice to meet you," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at me.

"Cian's date," he replied, his voice neutral.

Natalia's eyes sparkled with malice as she stepped forward. "Cian what a pleasure to see you here," she said,

"Have you got some invitations? Our wedding is coming up soon, and we're going to do this and that."

I felt my eyes welling up with tears, and I knew I had to get out of there before I lost my composure.

Natalia and Cian chatted about her upcoming wedding, she asked him if he would be attending.

"Of course, we wouldn't miss it for the world," Cian replied with a smile. Natalia's eyes then landed on Emily, who was standing a short distance away, and her expression changed from a sweet angel to a malicious demon.

"Isn't she the girl you were about to hire a few days ago?" she asked, her voice a few octaves higher as she turned to Alek.

Alek didn't say a word, but Natalia didn't seem to need his input. She continued to demean Emily, asking Cian what he saw in me, ridiculing my

appearance.

"Her hair's so... plain, and her eyes are very brown. If they were blue, it would really complement her," she said, trying to throw jabs at me.

I felt like I was on the verge of tears, and Cian seemed to sense it. He spoke up, his voice firm.

"I think she looks stunning," he said, his words a clear defense of Emily.

Natalia's expression changed to one of shock, and she looked at Cian like he had lost his mind.

Cian quickly schooled himself, realizing he had slipped up. I took advantage of the momentary distraction to excuse myself, saying I needed to use the restroom.

I quickly made my way out of there, feeling like I needed to get away from the toxic atmosphere.. I excused myself, mumbling something about needing to powder my nose, and made a hasty retreat to the bathroom.

As I locked myself in a stall, tears began to drop from my eyes, and I couldn't help but wonder what I had gotten myself into.
