Chapter 3: The Pirate Hunter Joins
Waves shimmered under the morning sun as Luffy and Zoro drifted away from Shells Town.
Their ship was small, barely more than a rowboat, but it held ambition bigger than the sea.
"I'm glad you're on board," Luffy grinned. "You swing three swords! That's cool."
Zoro adjusted his bandana. "Don't think this makes us friends. I have my own goal."
He remembered a girl with pink hair and a promise made long ago.
"To be the world's greatest swordsman," Zoro muttered, gazing at his blades.
Luffy nodded. "Then I'll be King of the Pirates. Let's help each other get there."
Their boat drifted toward another vessel in the fog—larger, noisier, clearly full of pirates.
Gunfire erupted. A pirate ship had spotted them and decided to attack.
The pirate crew shouted and laughed as cannonballs flew toward Luffy's boat.
Luffy stretched his arms and launched himself across the waves.
Zoro followed by leaping from mast to mast with his blades drawn.
In moments, they were on the enemy ship.
The pirates charged, but Zoro cut through them like wind through reeds.
Luffy smiled as his fists bounced and stretched, sending enemies flying.
The ship's captain, a bulky brute with brass knuckles, stepped forward.
"You're just kids," he sneered. "I'll crush you!"
Luffy cracked his knuckles. "Bring it on!"
The pirate lunged, but Luffy's rubber limbs gave him the edge.
Zoro took care of the rest, spinning with three blades in a flurry.
In minutes, the enemy ship was in shambles, and the crew begged for mercy.
As the sun set, the two boys sat on the edge of their ship, eating what they'd stolen.
"We need more crew," Zoro said between bites.
"And a navigator," Luffy added. "I think I saw an island ahead."
Together, they sailed forward, two dreamers chasing legends across endless water.
