Chapter 72 - Chapter 72 Arrival Of The Head Maid, Roberta

After chatting with the little boy for a while and waiting for him to calm down, Shen Ye left the cabin and went to the cockpit, then told Dutch and others about the little boy's identity and experience.

"One of the thirteen South American cartel gangs, the heir of the Lovelace family?" Dutch's expression became serious. "Did he really say that?"

Shen Ye nodded: "The pride he expressed in talking about his family doesn't seem to be a lie."

"If that's the case, then this matter is a bit tricky." Dutch said in a deep voice: "It seems that my previous decision to transfer in Roanapur was correct. We still have time to buy an insurance policy."

After thinking for a while, Dutch continued, "Before delivering the goods, let's find out the situation with Balalaika first."

"By the way, remember to ask her about the Manisarera Cartel. The kid said they might be the masterminds behind the scenes."Shen Ye added.

Dutch nodded and turned on the radio to contact Balalaika.

"Balalaika, I'm Dutch, I want to trouble you with something."

"It's rare that Dutch would bother me with something." Balalaika held the phone between his cheek and shoulder, and was cutting a cigar with a cigar cutter in his hand.

"I've encountered a little trouble." Dutch said, "Can you help me find the details between Manisarera Cartel and the Lovelace family?"

"That's not a big deal," Balalaika said, lighting his cigar. "But we recently got a job for Manisarera. You picked a great time, Dutch."

"I just want to get some insurance." Dutch said, "Please help me."

"Sure." Balalaika exhaled a puff of smoke. "Does it mean the reply will be sent to your office?"

"No, let's go to the old place, the Yellow Flag Bar." Dutch said, "We can talk while we drink."

  "Okay." Balalaika nodded.

After hanging up the radio, Dutch turned to look at Shen Ye: "Before that, Shen, can you tell me about the situation of the Lovelace family? Or, will they send a mercenary to rescue him as the little boy said?"

"Probably not." Rock interrupted: "As far as I know, the Lovelace family has fallen into decline, and their financial situation is not very good, to the point where they can only employ one servant."

"Servant? What kind?" Dutch, always cautious, asked.

"An ordinary housemaid." Rock didn't know where he got the information from, but answered with certainty.

"Maid?" Revy yawned and teased, "Miss maid braved the dragon's den and the tiger's lair to win back the young master? That would be very interesting."

"This is indeed very interesting, Revy. Maybe it's just as you said, the maid transformed into a Valkyrie and came to rescue her master." Shen Ye said from the side.

"If that's the case, I'll be looking forward to that scene." Revy said coldly.

  …

  Roanapur Port.

In the sunset, a young woman wearing round-frame glasses and dressed as a maid got off the cargo ship. She put her suitcase at her feet, held an umbrella tightly in both hands, and looked around expressionlessly.

"Is this Roanapur, the land of sin?"

After saying this coldly, she picked up her suitcase, walked towards the city with the setting sun behind her.

Every time the maid walked down a street, she would stop and ask passers-by.

"Hello, I am a maid from South America, alone and helpless. Where can I find a gathering place for people from my country?"

But most people are too lazy to reply, and if someone does reply occasionally, it's mostly useless messages.

As night fell, the maid finally went deep into Roanapur, where she received a useful answer.

"Miss Maid, if you want to know some information about your compatriots, you should go to that place."

  "where?"

  "The Yellow Flag Bar."

  …

"Oh, my dear Mother Earth, I have returned to your embrace once again."

After getting off the torpedo boat, Shen Ye opened his arms and shouted loudly.

Compared to life at sea, he obviously prefers the feeling of being down to earth.

  "Come on, little brat."

Behind her, Revy pushed the slow-moving little boy Garcia.

The little boy glared at her hatefully, but was pushed by Revy again, so he had no choice but to run to Shen Ye with a pout.

"Revy, this is not how an adult should act." Dutch couldn't stand it anymore and frowned, "You also grew up from a child."

"Then you should find him a nanny." Revy said unhappily.

Shen Ye protected the little boy behind him and raised his hand, saying, "Isn't he here?"

"Humph, have you become nagging too? Or do you want to work as a housekeeper in the Lovelace family?" Revy became even more unhappy.

"How is that possible?" Shen Ye shook his head: "I just think that there is no need to do this to a child."

"What's wrong with the child? Is he so precious?" Revy's eyes were a little dim.

Shen Ye knew that Revy's childhood was not happy. She grew up in a slum and was abused. After thinking about it, he didn't say anything else.

After waiting at the dock for a while, Benny drove the car over.

  "Want to join us, Shen?"

Dutch asked after seeing Shen Ye stuffed Garcia into the back seat of the car but didn't get in.

"Let's go to the bar for a drink."

"Of course, but I have to drive my own car." Shen Ye shook the car keys in his hand.

At this moment, Garcia suddenly jumped out of the car.

"I want to take his car." He pointed at Shen Ye.

"That won't work, kid, you're our cargo." Revy objected immediately.

But Dutch thought about it and nodded: "Let him take Shen's car."

Revy curled her lips but said nothing, then turned and got into the car.

Soon, the two cars drove towards the Yellow Flag Bar, the most famous bar in Roanapur.

In the car, Shen Ye observed Garcia through the rearview mirror. After getting in the car, the little boy didn't say a word and kept his head down, and no one knew what he was thinking.

"By the way, Garcia, when we were on the ship, I heard you say there was a woman named Roberta. Is she the housemaid that Rock mentioned?" Shen Ye asked.

Garcia nodded: "Yes, but even though she's a maid, her housework is terrible."

"But she has a very good temper, much better than that tattooed woman named Revy." He added.

"In fact, if Revy had a happy childhood, she would also be a woman with a very good temper." Shen Ye said slowly.

Garcia looked up at Shen Ye and asked unexpectedly: "Was her childhood miserable?"

Shen Ye nodded: "You know the slums, she grew up there, she was hungry and cold, and was often abused. It's impossible for anyone to have a good character. To be honest, she is just dissatisfied with our care for you. To her, men and women, young and old, are treated equally. "
