Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Beginning of a Dream and an Unexpected Journey

Kael Guerrero stood tall on the platform of the small train station he had just finished building in the middle of the Mexican plains. The morning sun shone on the shining iron rails, a symbol of the dream he had fought for since he was a child.

Kael (thinking): "This is no longer a dream. This is real."

After years of hard work and support from his loyal friends, the station finally stood strong, ready to connect his village to the outside world. Today, Kael and his 16 close friends would start a journey for an important matter — establishing trade connections that could open new opportunities for their village.

Year 1899, August 17

(Tito stood by the locomotive, leading the group)

Tito: "Everyone ready? Let's get this show on the road."

The old steam train began to chug slowly out of the station.

(Just about two hundred meters in, the whole train suddenly shook violently as if it was being pulled through a strange force...)

Diego (shouting): "Tito! What the hell was that?!"

Tito: "Hurry up and come look! Check outside the window!"

Kael and the others rushed forward and saw terrifying creatures standing just outside the train — countless of them.

Lupita (fearful): "What… what are those things?"

Suddenly, one of the creatures pushed open a door and entered one of the train's carriages.

Padre Miguel (shouting): "Watch out, everyone! Stay alert!"

Someone inside the carriage screamed as the creature attacked.

Kael quickly grabbed his hammer and struck down the creature.

Kael: "We gotta hold on… this isn't over yet."

After the chaos, Kael gathered the fallen creatures and apologized quietly.

Kael (whispering): "Forgive me…"

His friends pulled him back inside for safety.

Marisol: "Kael, stay calm and keep focused."

Hours later, the creatures moved away, no longer seeing any humans around.

Tito (pulling the lever): "Alright, let's keep moving."

Ahead in the distance, they saw a brick fortress with a heavy gate.

Tito: "That's a safe place up ahead."

As the train approached, the gate began to close — but a sheriff stood firm, holding it open.

Sheriff (looking at the train): "Hold up! Don't shut the gate yet."

Sheriff (with a grim look): "…Unexpected guests, huh?"
