Maelin's voice shook. "You were… him? The Echo?"

Caelum stood in the shimmering glow, fragments of another life slipping across his skin like silver threads. "I think I always was," he said softly. "But this world forgot. I forgot."

The Star hummed louder now, and a second path unfolded—not light, but music. Notes, strung like bridges, twisting upward into the void like a melody chasing its own birth.

> "YOU ARE THE LAST TWO," the Star intoned. "THE CHOICE RESTS BETWEEN YOU."

The light around Caelum wrapped tighter—revealing the past, but not as memories.

As living moments.

Maelin saw him now, clear as anything. Long before the Forge, before the Choir. A young starborn boy standing at her side, hand in hers, blade in his other.

Caelum reached for her. "You were never alone. Just… unfinished."

The Star let out a slow sigh—like a galaxy exhaling.

All around them, the space began to ripple.

The Choir's Song still lived—etched in the sky, in the Forge, in the Star itself. But now, notes fell from it like feathers, drifting around Maelin.

She caught one.

It burned blue in her palm, but didn't hurt.

"Can I change it?" she whispered.

Caelum looked up, eyes glowing brighter than ever. "We can."

The Star pulsed once more.

> "THEN WRITE. YOUR. END."

Two swords appeared before them.

One: the Starforge, glowing with truth, history, pain, and prophecy.

The other: smooth and blank. A sword of silence. Unwritten. Waiting.

Maelin looked at Caelum. "This is it."

He nodded. "One seals the cycle. The other... shatters it forever."

No fight. No war.

Just choice.
