Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 : Feast

As the sun was about to set and night was approaching, one by one, the subjects returned to the Lord's Mansion. Stacks of freshly cut logs and chunks of stone were dropped near the mansion entrance. Leo stepped forward, glancing at the gathered resources

Ninety wood. Ninety stones.

He nodded thoughtfully. At this pace, we're gathering nearly a hundred units a day, it's too slow for his planes, so he has decided to focus on hunting beasts and trading meat for wood, stone, and other resources

So, Leo has decided to only summon subjects with fighting capability.

Leo ordered Anthony to prepare a feast with wolf meat to celebrate the first day of survival.

Anthony said, "Understand, my lord."

After saying that, Leo walked to the lord's mansion window, stood by the window, arms folded, watching the fading light outside.

Two figures emerged from the forest line—swift, silent.

They dropped to one knee as they reached the steps of the lord's mansion.

Jack said My lord, we have completed the scouting of the surrounding area of around a one-kilometer radius of our Territory.

"My Lord, we encountered three significant threats near our territory."

Leo's expression changed

He ordered Jack to continue.

"To the south, about 200 meters out, there's a herd of 20 wild boars. Most of them are Rank 1, but they're led by a Rank 2 alpha." Jack pointed in the direction of wild boars.

Ava said, "To the north, just 100 meters from our border, there's a pack of wolves, roughly thirty of them, all Rank 1. Their leader is Rank 2. "

Leo's eyes narrowed, said. "The wolves we killed earlier... they must've been part of that pack."

Jack's tone became more serious, and he said. "But the biggest threat… is further out. A giant wolf. Rank 3. It's unlike anything else in the area."

Ava added, "It's guarding an area which iron mine, my lord. Looks like it's treating the whole place as its territory. Might be the boss of this region."

Leo's fingers tightened around the edge of the window frame. An iron mine… His thoughts raced. A high-risk target—but the reward...

He turned back to the scouts, his voice calm but firm. "Good work. Rest and eat. We'll decide tomorrow whether to strike or wait."

Leo stood near the mansion window, arms crossed, deep in thought.

Three Rank 1 swordsmen... one Rank 2 summoning scroll... and at least twenty enemies per group. The numbers weren't in his favor—not for a confrontation.

He recalled the earlier wolf encounter. They had lured them just far enough into the territory's protected boundary, where manster can't get in, and our attacks had worked —it could work again.

"We'll use that same tactic," he murmured. "Draw them in. One group at a time."

Satisfied with the plan—at least for now—he turned back toward the lively voices behind him.

A warm orange glow flickered outside the mansion. Bonfires had been lit just beyond the entrance, casting shadows that danced across the walls. His subjects had gathered, their eyes shining with cautious hope and the hunger earned after a long day's labor.

Anthony, the chef, approached proudly, holding a steaming platter of roasted wolf meat. The rich aroma of roasted meat drifted through the air.

"My lord, the feast has been prepared," Anthony said with a bow.

The scent alone made the mouth of subject water. Leo could see it in their faces—the eager glances, the barely-contained excitement. Even the usually stoic soldiers leaned forward slightly, eyes locked on the meat like wolves themselves.

He stepped forward, raising his voice.

Today, we survived. Tomorrow, we will rise. Eat well

Cheers broke out

All subjects sat together and started eating and chatting with each other with joy.

[ Ding, your subject Emma's loyalty has been increased to 70]

[ Ding, your subject Liam's loyalty has been increased to 70]

[ Ding, your subject Noah's loyalty has been increased to 70]

[ Ding, your subject Ava's loyalty has been increased to 70]

[ Ding, your subject Jack's loyalty has been increased to 70]

A smile appears on Leo's face

With an increase in loyalty of his subjects, having the basic loyalty of 70, he did not need to worry about any of them betraying him.

Leo started eating with joy.

Soon, the subjects returned to their small homes for the night after the feast.

Leo walked back to the lord's mansion. Inside the mansion, Leo assigned Anthony and Noah rooms on the first floor. Then he brought Emma and Liam with him to the second floor.

As Leo lay back on his bed as he thought about how he was transported to the new world as lord and how he adapted to his surroundings, and pondered how to build his Territory. And fell asleep.
