Episode 22
The days blurred together, each one heavier than the last. Rabaab felt the shadows inside her tightening their hold — whispers turning to voices, voices turning to commands.
She sat by the mirror in her room, unable to look away. Her reflection no longer mirrored her movements perfectly. Sometimes, it lingered behind, watching her with cold, hollow eyes.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, a sudden chill filled the room.
From the mirror's depths, a figure emerged — tall, cloaked in darkness, eyes glowing faintly red.
"Why do you resist, Rabaab?" the figure's voice echoed, both distant and near.
"I'm not afraid," she replied, voice trembling but firm.
"Fear is the key," the figure said. "Embrace it, and you may yet control your fate."
Rabaab's heart pounded. She clenched her fists.
"No," she whispered. "I choose my own path."
The figure's smile was cold and knowing. "Then prepare to lose what you cherish most."
The mirror rippled, and images flashed — Jawad, in danger, trapped behind a veil of darkness.
Rabaab gasped.
She realized the stakes were higher than she imagined.
