Chapter 92 - ## Chapter 92: Poison Creeper

## Chapter 92: Poison Creeper

Not long after walking, I encountered a Fallen Camp. Looking over, I estimated there were at least several hundred Shamans wandering around. Dealing with these numerous little things that could also be resurrected by Imp Sorcerers made my brain feel a bit sluggish. After thinking it over, the only method was for me to act as the target, attracting the Shamans' attention, while Light Snow and the others circled around from a distance to secretly take out the Imp Sorcerers behind them.

Of course, as the Tank, the skills I possessed were no joke either. Frozen Armor was particularly effective against these Shamans. Just one hack would turn them into ice sculptures, frozen for several seconds. And don't forget the Necklace I wore around my neck – it had the Stats of a 5% Chance to Cast Level 3 Frost Nova when attacked. I had taken it off in the Tower to keep a low profile, but now I had put it back on. Don't underestimate this 5% Chance. Under the high-frequency attacks of numerous Shamans, it triggered almost every ten seconds, even more frequently than a Wizard using it. Most importantly, it didn't consume any Mana of my own, making it the best Magic Treasure for dealing with being surrounded. A Level 3 Frost Nova had a range of about 5-7 meters, with Damage decreasing as the Distance increased. Even so, quite a few Shamans surrounding me were frozen to death by the triggered Frost Nova.

Originally, the situation was looking great. It seemed it wouldn't take long to wipe out all several hundred Shamans. However, a frustrating situation arose. After Light Snow and the others eliminated the Imp Sorcerers, they turned back, planning to annihilate the entire group of Shamans. Unexpectedly, when the Shamans saw that the Sorceresses were dead, the remaining several hundred scattered in all directions, leaving behind an empty Camp. A chilling wind blew through, indescribably cool. Was this the legendary phenomenon where the stronger you are, the smaller your Guts? Even the lowest level Fallen wouldn't be so afraid of death.

Light Snow and the others didn't seem to have anticipated this Result either. Their eyes widened. Several hundred Monsters running away together, who could stop them? Just a moment ago, I had used Molten Boulder and Firestorm at the beginning, plus Melee afterward. I had killed about a hundred Shamans. Light Snow and the others had killed six or seven Imp Sorcerers, and there were over ten Shamans who didn't manage to escape. Calculating it, I didn't gain much Experience, but the Durability of my Equipment dropped incredibly fast, making me so frustrated I almost went crazy.

After this, I finally learned to be Smart. When I encountered Fallen Camps later, I still used the original Method, but I always had Light Snow and the others deliberately leave one Imp Sorcerer alive, allowing it to resurrect the Shamans occasionally, giving them a little hope. In reality, its resurrection speed was far from keeping up with our slaughter speed. Until the very end, these stupid guys still thought that as long as the Sorceress Lord was still alive, they could be infinitely resurrected. Thus, they charged forward fearlessly of death again and again, completely unaware that the Sorceress standing behind them was already exhausted, cramping all over, foaming at the mouth, and could barely hold onto their Skull Staff. It wasn't until only a few Shamans were left that I looked at that dedicated Imp Sorcerer. At this point, it had collapsed on the ground, eyes rolled back, spitting Blood, and was barely alive. Sweat. To be a Healer to this extent was truly unique. After killing this pitiful Sorceress, the remaining Shamans finally realized something was wrong. Unfortunately, they were already surrounded by Light Snow and the others. Want to run? No way.

That's why being uneducated is truly terrible. Math is very important. These pitiful Shamans couldn't even figure out the simplest arithmetic logic problems before trying to survive in the world. Their outcome could only be slaughtered.

After finding a Method to deal with these cowardly guys, I couldn't sleep soundly for long. As I gradually went deeper into Tamoe Highland, a few days later, a type of Monster appeared that was even more troublesome than the Ghosts in the Tower – the Undead Mage. These guys, despite having the frame of a Skull, engaged in the Deed of a Sorceress. Instead of properly learning from Undead Warriors and conquering the world with a Greatsword, they preferred to flashily dye themselves in various colors. Red Fire Mages, white Lightning Mages, blue Cold Mages, green Poison Mages, gathered together, immediately sending Fire Bolts, Ice Bolts, Charged Bolts, and Poison Bolts flying everywhere. These Spell Attacks rendered my Defense, comparable to an Advanced Paladin's Physical Defense, completely useless. Of course, it wasn't just me. Any Class Changer in Rogue Encampment could at best have high Resistance to one type of Magic. Who could achieve All Resistance to four types of Magic? Unless Equipment fell from the sky.

Alright, I admit I was exaggerating a bit. Actually, for me, these Spells weren't much. Because no matter how powerful they were, they were still just Normal Level Monsters. Generally speaking, for the Spells of Normal Monsters, taking Fire Mages as an example, as long as the opponent's Flame Resistance reached above, the Damage from Fire Bolts would already be very small. For Chieftains, it needed to be 30, and Elites had to reach 40 Resistance. Mini-Bosses needed at least 60 or more. As for Demon Lord Level, like Andariel, well, I'm not too sure about that, but I think if your Poison Resistance isn't above 75, it's best to consider it carefully and bring dozens more Antidote Potions.

My current Resistance, except for Cold Resistance which was only 10 points, Lightning was already 53, Flame 25, and Poison 36. This meant I could ignore all of them except for Cold Mages. My description just now was merely to explain how much of a Threat these Skeleton Sorceresses were to ordinary Class Changers who didn't even have much Magic Equipment on them!

Even so, these Undead Mages were still a big trouble because they usually gathered in groups of three to five and stood relatively spread out. Neither Molten Boulder nor Firestorm could deal area damage. Furthermore, for me, with my low Cold Resistance, the Ice Bolts from Cold Mages were particularly annoying. Usually, when I encountered a group of Undead Mages, I would use Werewolf Transformation and, at the fastest speed, first take out the Cold Mages within the group before slowly dealing with the other Monsters. For these little skeletons, I was no longer stingy. I had already taken out that Scepter. With 6-11 Attack, plus +50% Damage to Undead, it was simply a Super Bane for them, whose Life was not originally high. As for the Cold Mages, I gave them priority and rewarded them with a Holy Bolt. These Level 3 Holy Bolts had particularly obvious Damage to Undead. Just two Holy Bolts were enough to completely purify them. These Skeletons also lived up to the title of Sorceress; their Drop Rate was very high. Gold Coins were almost guaranteed drops, and Potions dropped generously. Even Equipment occasionally dropped, although it was just some Normal Items.

Besides these, there was also a type of Monster called Dark Spearman. They had very fast movement speed and liked to randomly thrust with the Spears in their hands. For Class Changers with low Defense, they were indeed a considerable trouble. However, In Front of me and Light Snow and the others, they were just walking experience.

I wandered around Tamoe Highland for a month, originally wanting to see if I could meet up with Lars and the others. Unfortunately, although I encountered quite a few Adventurers, I didn't see any sign of them. On the contrary, my Level, although I had tried my best to slow my pace, still slowly climbed to Level 17. And during this time, something happened that made me particularly happy.

About half a month ago, I encountered an Elite Level Spiked Beast. Damn it, its Stats were Multiple Shot! It shot several spines with Elite Level Damage at once. Even when I used Werebear Transformation, it still pained me greatly when it pricked me. Finally, this troublesome guy was smashed into paste by my angry Bear Paw, and it also dropped a decent Magic Mace.

Icy Mace

Damage: 3-10

Durability: 60

Required Strength:

Required Level: 6

1-4 Cold Damage, Duration 3 seconds

Haha, good item. Although the Attack wasn't very high, the most important thing was the added Cold Damage. As long as it hit once, hehe...

Of course, I wasn't happy because of this Magic Weapon. Although its Stats were good, they weren't enough to leave such a deep impression on me. What made me happy was that after defeating this Elite, a brilliant glow finally flashed on Poison Creeper's Body. After more than half a year of accumulation, it finally Leveled Up again.

Poison Creeper (Level 2 Super Mutation): Life 164. A Mutated Creature evolved from accumulating Experience through long-term combat. Mutation Level 2, +% Life, +% Damage, +% Defense, + All Resistance, Poison Duration increased by 2 seconds. Has a certain Chance to Bind Opponent when attacking. The Chance to Bind and Time are related to the Enemy's strength.

I looked at Poison Creeper with relief, feeling happy for its Level Up. Although its intelligence was the lowest among all my Summons, it was the one that had accompanied me the longest and with the deepest Feelings. I never doubted its loyalty, just as it had always silently fought for me.

Seeing that there were still 8 Skill Points in the Skill Bar, I didn't hesitate any longer and added 2 Skill Points to Summon Poison Creeper. When the Skill Level of Summon Poison Creeper reached Level 10, Poison Creeper's Body once again emitted a brilliant glow. This time, it didn't just flash and disappear like before, but became increasingly intense, until I had to close my eyes to ward off the dazzling glow. After a long while, it suddenly disappeared.

Poison Creeper, which reappeared In Front of me, didn't have any significant change. Only its original body seemed to faintly reveal a layer of jade-like luster, and it also seemed a bit bigger than before. The small flower crown that had faintly appeared on its head had shrunk back again. Only because I had spent a long time together with it could I notice this change. If it were someone else, they would absolutely not discover it without observing carefully. Moreover, Poison Creeper spent most of its Time Underground, so who would carefully get close to look?
