Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Diamondhead to the Rescue

Despite its age, the old RV proved to be surprisingly fast and stable as it sped through the woods. Ryan didn't feel the usual sway or discomfort often associated with such vehicles. The RV quickly approached its destination. Through the window, Ryan could see the glow of a fire in the distance and hear increasingly louder cries for help. The RV quickly reached the campsite and braked hard nearby. The campsite outside was already riddled with damage. Several tents were engulfed in flames, and terrified tourists were running around, screaming for help. Ryan didn't hesitate. He pushed open the car door and jumped out.

"Ryan, be careful!" Max urged, concern evident in his eyes as he watched Ryan prepare to leave. "Understood, Grandpa. You be careful too!" Ryan looked back at Max with a smile. He walked to an open space, raised the Omnitrix on his wrist, and pressed the Heatblast symbol. A green light flashed, encompassing his body. When the light dissipated, however, the figure standing in the open space wasn't Heatblast. Instead, it was a tall, burly Diamondhead whose body was made entirely of diamond crystals and was shaped like a human.

"Hey, Ryan, why aren't you the fire guy anymore?" Max, who had gotten out of the RV, looked at Ryan in confusion. Diamondhead silently raised his right arm, and its mirror-like surface reflected his face. "This...it must be a glitch in this watch. Let's just call it a 'broken watch' for now!" "Cool! The second alien hero! Does he have a name?" Eagerly asking, Ben said, "I feel a new kind of excitement! "The previous one was called Heatblast, so this one..."

"Let's call him Diamond God of War!" Diamondhead's eyes were as sharp as knives. No longer worried about the transformation quirk, he strode toward a fleeing tourist in front of him. Behind the tourist, a disc-shaped mechanical creature hovered. "Help! Help!" The tourist cried out as he ran. Then he suddenly noticed the tall figure running toward him, no, a strange creature! "Why is another alien coming to get me?" The tourist collapsed, kneeling partially on the ground and shivering with his head in his hands.

Unbeknownst to him, Diamondhead merely glanced at him before stepping past him to face the disc-robot. "Locating target... locating target..." The red scanner on the disc-shaped robot focused on Diamondhead, and its alarm blared. Its transmitter was aimed directly at Diamondhead's body. Whoosh! The launcher unleashed a red beam of astonishing power! Boom! The red light instantly struck Diamondhead's body, causing a terrifying explosion. Smoke immediately billowed out and engulfed Diamondhead.

"Target destroyed," the disc-robot uttered in a cold, mechanical voice.

"You mean I'm destroyed?" Diamondhead emerged from the smoke the next moment, completely unscathed. There was a hint of irony in his tone as he walked toward the disc-robot. "Boom!" "Boom!" The disc-robot launched a furious barrage of energy rays, striking Diamondhead's body repeatedly! No matter how many violent explosions occurred, Diamondhead's advance remained unchecked. His diamond body simply ignored the energy blasts, allowing him to walk straight through them.

What a terrifying defense! "This...this alien seems to be here to save me..." The tourist, still crouching on the ground, finally realized this, staring at Diamondhead in stunned amazement. "You've hit me so many times. Now is it my turn to fight back? Just one hit, so don't run." As Diamondhead approached the disc robot, it attempted to retreat, but Diamondhead swiftly extended his left arm and gripped a corner of the robot. He bent his left arm slightly and dragged the disc-robot forward with immense force.

His right hand transformed into a large diamond blade with five pointed fingers, radiating a chilling aura and reflecting a cold light in his eyes.

Whoosh! Like a blue-tinted lightning bolt, Diamondhead's right blade sliced across the disc-robot's entire body! Clank! The red light on the disc robot's scanner instantly dimmed. Its four tentacles fell limply, and its body split in two and crashed to the ground. A crack over ten meters long appeared on the ground in front of Diamondhead, following the path of his blade.

"One down." Diamondhead calmly retracted his diamond blade and looked at the other robots. As expected, a large robot was vandalizing another part of the campsite. Several more disc-shaped robots floated in the sky around it, firing weaker beams in all directions. The disc robot Diamondhead had just destroyed was only one of them. He never imagined Vilgax would be so relentless! "Ding!"

"Sign-in object detected: Large Robot!" "Attract its attention and the attention of all surrounding robots, and the task will be completed!" Suddenly, Diamondhead's face lit up with joy at the system's prompt! Vilgax was actually giving him another sign-in reward! It was practically sending him experience packs! "One versus many? I don't care!" Diamondhead clenched his right fist, which transformed back from a blade into a cannon. Whizz! Whizz! Whizz! He instantly fired several rounds of diamond shuriken, impaling the robots. The large robot's right shoulder armor was pierced and sparking with electricity. The other, more agile disc robots narrowly dodged the shuriken.

"Locating target..."

"Locating target..."

All the robots ceased their attacks on the humans and turned their attention toward Diamondhead. "Kill him for me!" Vilgax commanded frantically. The tourists who had escaped hid in the distance, staring in amazement at Diamondhead, who stood alone against a multitude of robots. This heroic alien was helping them by luring the robots away.
