"Yes. The solo. We're not interviewing anyone else."
"Oh, my goodness. Thank you so much. I'm so excited." Alice says elated.
Alice walked out of the stage feeling excited and happy.
"We're done with the auditions. Everyone can go home now. We're not taking any more contestants. The lead singer has already been chosen." A stagehand announced to the other contestants still waiting in line.
The girl who wanted to take Alice's spot, Melanie, pushed her way to the front.
"You!" She said angrily pointing at Alice." This is all your fault, I would have gotten the solo if it weren't for you. If you had just allowed me to take your spot. I would have been the solo!" She screamed.
"The next anniversary you can come earlier and take your spot," Alice said, walking away.
"No, if I can't have the spot, nobody can." She said, lunging her first to Alice's face.
Alice moved, tripping Melanie off her feet.
