Synopsis
A powerful cosmic being, intrigued by a soul that defied the cleansing forces of the afterlife through immense karmic merit, sees potential in it. Though the soul is far from saintly, its resilience sparks the being’s interest. In a world doomed to repeat its destruction, the being decides to make this soul its champion—imbuing it with a fragment of divine power to break the cycle. With a final decree echoing through the void, the soul is sent back, now bearing a crimson flame and a singular purpose: to save a world on the brink of annihilation.

Chapter 1 - A Prologue, I guess?

A cosmic being clad in flame watched with great curiosity as a soul offered resistance strong enough to remain unharmed and unaffected by the cleansing of the afterlife. With eyes of myriad colors, it observed the soul and the protective layer surrounding it. The golden glow it emitted indicated it was karmic merit, and it was strong enough to keep the soul from facing true death. Curiosity quickly turned into interest. What could this soul have possibly done to earn such immense karmic merit during its mortal lifespan? The cosmic being knew it was not anything remotely saintly. It could feel the underworld's pull on the soul, but the karmic protection kept it at bay.

It was then that the thought occurred to the cosmic being: there was a particularly problematic world within its domain. Reset after reset, and through countless cycles, the world's ending was always doom—either from supernatural forces or the sheer stupidity of humans themselves. Too many constants, and not a single variable strong enough to make a significant difference—to lead it away from its fated doom. And this soul could be just what it needed: a champion, its champion, one bearing a fragment of its power—to guide them, and use force if necessary, which it felt was highly likely.

Having decided its course of action, the cosmic being's eyes burned bright, turning the dark void into one of light. Its body blazed infinitely hotter, causing space and time around it to distort. Amidst the chaos, a crimson ball of flame shot out from the cosmic being's body and into the unconscious soul. Sensing the intention—and detecting no malice toward the soul it protected—the karmic barrier parted easily, allowing the flame to pass through. Instantly, the karma surrounding the soul seemed to dance with joy. It was as if the cleansing of the afterlife and the pull of the underworld ceased to exist once the flame merged with the soul—now burning crimson.

"One last time, or that world ceases to exist."

The cosmic being's voice resounded like a divine order before the soul vanished from the vast void.

//----------------------//

Short, I know. But this prologue was mainly to explain the source of MC's power and the stake at hand. Save the world, or cease to exist with the world.

But the MC doesn't know about it? Yes, not YET.

I also did not feel the need to expand on the MCs origin since it wouldn't really have any impact on the story unlike the power he will possess, which, if you've noticed the tags, is overpowered. And by overpowered, I mean OVERPOWERED. Catch my drift? It's already there so there's no point half-baking it.

Anyway, the first chapter should be uploaded soon. After I at least meet my own expectations which is honestly my greatest enemy.

Cy@ later!
