"Mom!! Quickly! Attack him now!!"
She saw the opening, saw the opportunity her son had created. Suzanit didn't hesitate and swung her sword with all her strength.
zaaash!!!
A powerful red energy wave formed from her sword strike, launching toward the head of CP1's commander like a deadly hurricane.
Seth pierced his throat, splattering blood on his own face. He pulled out his claws and quickly jumped to the side, away from the range of Suzanit's attack.
The head of CP1's commander was still trembling from the shock… his eyes barely open, he didn't have time to do anything.
Fwoosh!!
His head flew into the air…
It spun once, twice, three times, then hit the ground with a bloody explosion.
Splash!!
The massive body staggered for a moment, then dropped to its knees before collapsing completely, lifeless, with a faint smoke rising from it as if the spark of life had fully burned out.
Seth stood in place, gasping heavily, sweat and blood dripping from his forehead and chin. He looked at the headless corpse beside him, then lifted his eyes toward his mother.
Suzanit was standing, panting heavily. She looked at what remained of the enemy, her body trembled slightly, then she began coughing violently.
"Khough! Khough khough!!"
Suzanit coughed hard, drops of blood coming out with each breath, some running down her chin, but she didn't take a single step back.
She lowered her sword slowly, placing its tip on the ground to balance herself. Her left shoulder was trembling, and the side of her robe was torn, revealing a deep wound bleeding continuously.
"Mom!!"
Seth ran toward her, his voice mixed with panic and exhaustion. He immediately helped her stand firm, sliding a trembling hand behind her back to keep her from falling.
"I'm fine..." Suzanit whispered in a shaky voice, though she was barely able to stay upright.
"Stop lying, you look terrible ..." Seth muttered, looking at her pale face and eye that could barely stay open.
At that moment...
Kraak!!
The chest of the CP1 commander or what remained of him trembled suddenly, the headless body shook for a moment, as if something inside it refused to die.
"He moved…?!" Seth gasped, and quickly shifted his body to protect his mother.
But the body finally collapsed , this time for good as if whatever was resisting death had completely faded.
A heavy silence fell over the area...
Blood, smoke, the scent of burning, and the couple's ragged breathing were the only sounds in the air.
Suzanit wiped the blood from her mouth and sheathed her sword at her waist. She patted Seth's back and said,
"Uhm ! Don't worry , it was only because of the electricity you injected into his body..."
She sighed in exhaustion and added,
"We... have to leave now..."
Seth nodded.
"Yes, let's get out of here..."
He reverted from his transformation and returned to his human form.
"Looks like you went through a lot…" Suzanit said as she looked at his severed wrist.
"That doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm okay, right?"
Suzanit laughed before suddenly bursting into tears.
"Yeah, what matters is that you're alive..."
He supported her body, and they went to the back of the ship where the sailboat she came in on was docked. There was no trace of Ace or Deace; both had taken advantage of the situation and escaped.
He helped her climb aboard, then untied the rope and kicked the boat away from the ship.
He raised the sails under his mother's instructions, then began moving away with the wind's help.
"Mom, I'll be back quickly..." he said suddenly, then jumped into the sea without even giving her a chance to object.
"What is this boy planning to do!?" she wondered in confusion, but her wonder didn't last long. Before her astonished eyes, a giant serpent resembling a Sea King burst through the bottom of the ship and destroyed it.
"Clever..." she muttered with relief when she saw Seth destroying the evidence. She wrapped a bandage around her deep wound.
"This will buy us some time , but to stay on the safe side, we have to change our current residence..."
She watched the ship slowly sink into the sea. She raised her hand and stared at the blood covering it with a grim expression.
"I don't know how much longer this body can last..." she whispered bitterly. She couldn't help but remember the first time she discovered she was afflicted with the incurable chronic illness , the one she and her husband searched years for a cure for, to no avail.
"At the very least, I must last... until Seth matures..."
She stopped thinking about the matter and closed her eyes for some rest.
After a while, she opened her eyes and stared at Seth who had returned. He opened his mouth and spat several treasure chests into the boat, which wobbled from the sudden weight.
"These are treasures I found on the ship..." he explained to his mother, who opened one of the chests filled with gleaming golden coins.
These were the treasures he had found both on the pirate ship and the World Government ship.
She closed the chest, then raised her head and looked at the giant serpent and asked,
"How long can you maintain this form!?"
Seth thought for a moment before opening his mouth and answering with his thunderous voice,
"I still have some energy. I can maintain it for about , four to five more hours..."
Suzanit clapped her hands, adjusted the sails, and said,
"Very good, I want you to push the boat..."
