I Am Scorpion
Episode Title: "I Am Scorpion"
Inspired by CIA MK-ULTRA/Mind Control Experiments FOIA Files
COLD OPEN
INT. SCORPION HQ – NIGHT
The team is gathered around a conference table. Walter O'Brien stands at the head, holding a thick, redacted CIA dossier stamped "MK-ULTRA/MIND CONTROL EXPERIMENTS." The room is tense; the screens behind him show news clippings, declassified documents, and survivor testimonies.
WALTER (V.O.):
MK-ULTRA. Not the name of a spy novel—real, sanctioned horror. Over 130 research programs. Prisons, hospitals, universities. Unwitting people, broken for life.
CUT TO:
MONTAGE – FLASHBACKS (BLACK & WHITE, GRAINY):
– A woman in a hospital bed, eyes wide, as a doctor injects her with LSD.
– A man strapped to a chair, headphones blaring static, his face contorted in confusion.
– A university lab, students unknowingly drinking dosed coffee.
– A Canadian clinic, Dr. Ewen Cameron's "psychic driving" tapes looping endlessly as patients lie comatose.
ROLLINS (reading a file):
Subproject 68. Montreal. Dr. Cameron. Massive doses of LSD. Patients never told. Some never recovered.
SYLVESTER:
How could they do this? To their own people?
TOBY:
Fear. Power. The idea that you could control a mind—turn anyone into anything. The ultimate weapon.
ACT 1: THE CASE HITS HOME
INT. SCORPION HQ – WAR ROOM – LATER
Paige brings in a survivor, Zal Orlico, now elderly but sharp-eyed, her voice trembling with anger.
ZAL:
I trusted them. They told me they would help. Instead, they stole my memories, my life.
HAPPY:
We have to find out if The Eye is using these same methods. If they are, we're not just chasing a criminal—we're hunting a legacy.
WALTER:
The CIA files mention "asset recovery" and "behavioral modification." If The Eye has access to these techniques, they could turn anyone—any of us—into a weapon.
ACT 2: THE INVESTIGATION
INT. SCORPION HQ – LAB
Sylvester and Happy analyze new evidence:
– A modern "psychic driving" device
– Vials labeled with chemical codes
– Audio tapes with subliminal messages
SYLVESTER:
These frequencies match the ones used in the Gateway Process. But the drugs—they're more advanced.
HAPPY:
Someone's updated the playbook.
TOBY:
If The Eye is using MK-ULTRA methods, we need to know who's been exposed—and how to reverse it.
ACT 3: THE CONFRONTATION
INT. SAFEHOUSE – NIGHT
Walter and Paige confront a former CIA handler, Agent Monroe, who once ran MK-ULTRA subprojects.
WALTER:
How many people did you break for the sake of "national security," Agent Monroe?
MONROE (defensive):
We did what we had to do. The Soviets, the Chinese—they were doing the same. We just did it better.
PAIGE:
You destroyed lives. And now those secrets are fueling The Eye.
MONROE:
You can't stop what you can't see. The Eye is everywhere.
ACT 4: THE DECISION
INT. SCORPION HQ – NIGHT
The team debates their next move.
OLIVIA BENSON (via video link):
This isn't just about catching criminals. It's about stopping a cycle of abuse and secrecy that's lasted generations.
WALTER:
We're Scorpion. We expose the truth—even if it scares people. Especially if it scares people.
TOBY:
So what's the plan, Walt?
WALTER (determined):
We go public. We show the world what MK-ULTRA did—and what The Eye is doing now. No more secrets.
ACT 5: I AM SCORPION
INT. PRESS ROOM – DAY
Walter stands before a crowd of reporters, holding up the redacted CIA file.
WALTER:
My name is Walter O'Brien. I am Scorpion. And today, we end the era of mind control. Today, we fight for every person whose mind was stolen, whose life was broken, by secrets and lies.
The team stands behind him—Paige, Happy, Toby, Sylvester, Olivia, and Zal Orlico—united.
WALTER (V.O.):
We are Scorpion. And we are not afraid.
FADE OUT.

It is, or was the pode.word for a secret CIA project, which took place between 1953 and 1964 .in which unsuspecting people wer.e used in mind-control, experiments that left them emotionally crippled for life. MK-ULTRA, consisted of more than 130 research programs which took place in prisons, hospitals and universities all over the United States. Tonight. we'll look at subproject number 68, an experiment conducted.in Canada. The CIA does not deny that the experiments took place. In fact, we'll show you an internal agency memo which admits their involvement. The rationale for' all of this? Well, the memo doesn't say. But it's apparent that learning how to make people do things they normally wouldn't do by controlling their minds is valuable if you're in the espionage business.
