The squad leader on the stretcher roared, tears streaming down his face against his will.
"Twenty people go to support the right side right away!"
"Everyone else, don't rush. Form groups of three, after taking down an Iron-Armored Rhino, form an S shape to block their charging path!"
In the midst of flying sparks and flames, Commander Miller commanded the warriors in a calm and composed manner.
And in such a way, these three hundred plus individuals managed to bare-handedly block the path of the thousands of Iron Rhinoceroses.
But, there were just too many Iron Rhinoceroses.
The corpses of those Iron Rhinoceroses which were put out as roadblocks were all trampled into a mess by other Iron Rhinoceroses.
"Damn it, why are these beasts so fierce? They act as if they're possessed!"
Commander Miller widened his eyes, constantly observing the situation on the battlefield.
Though he and the warriors had been giving their all, their strength wouldn't hold until the reinforcements arrived at the base in half an hour!
"Watch out, commander!" Suddenly, a warrior shouted.
Splatter!
This warrior was pierced on the left by the horn of an Iron-Armored Rhino. The thick and sharp horn went directly into the warrior's stomach.
"Beast!" Commander Miller flew into a rage instantly. This warrior, Oliver, was seriously injured while protecting him. An infuriated Commander Miller slashed out with his blade!
Thud! The Iron-Armored Rhino thunderously fell to the ground, its head smashed with a muffled thud.
Among them, several warriors immediately rushed forward and lifted up Oliver, whose stomach had been punctured. After administering an adrenaline injection and applying some hemostatic aids, they whisked him away to a safer location.
Just as they were catching their breath, a heaven-shattering roar issued from within the horde of beasts. The ground trembled violently, akin to the beating of a drum. A huge beast charged out, towering over four meters in height and seven to eight meters long, rushing towards Commander Miller and his group.
"Holy crap! A Warlord ranked Iron-Armored Rhino!" Someone screamed in alarm.
Without a second thought, Commander Miller grabbed his alloy blade and charged forward, "Follow me, Oliver's team!"
Four nearby Warlords followed him into the charge. With a swift leap forward, Commander Miller was at the front, swinging his blade in a broad arc toward the eye of the rhinoceros. The eyeball, as big as his fist, was sliced to pulp.
The rhinoceros howled in pain and swung its head, sending Commander Miller flying. While in mid-air, Commander Miller shouted, "Aim for the eyes and beneath the neck!" Though unnecessary for him to command, his fellow Warlords were already in sync, viciously attacking the rhinoceros at its vital spots.
It didn't take much time at all. Bang! The Iron-Armored Rhino fell heavily to the ground. With a thunderous crash, the Warlord-class Iron-Armored Rhino collapsed. Commander Miller, along with several other warriors, smashed its head into a pulp.
"Darn it! The formation has broken!"
Just as Commander Miller was preparing to return to the battlefield, he suddenly realized that in the few tens of seconds in which he and several warriors had set about killing the Iron-Armored Rhino, the battle formation behind them had been split into two. More than seventy warriors had directly broken away from the formation, again falling into the trap of being surrounded.
"Damn it!" Commander Miller cursed, so furious that his eyes almost popped out. There was no need to think about the fate of these seventy warriors; it was definitely more dangerous than safe.
"Everyone, immediately move toward the west to rendezvous with them!" Commander Miller immediately adjusted his battle strategy. If they didn't merge with those seventy warriors, their side of the battlefield wouldn't last long.
The warriors didn't hesitate at all; they immediately moved west per Commander Miller's orders. The strongest, unharmed warriors promptly took the lead.
Boom!
At that moment, a loud noise was heard from the direction of the rear troops. More than a dozen Iron-Armored Rhinos were toppled over. Commander Miller glanced back, found no General-level Iron-Armored Rhinos were chasing after them, and thus paid no attention to the rear.
"Quickly! We must reunite with them immediately!" Commander Miller, taking the lead, could kill an Iron-Armored Rhino with every swing of his alloy long blade.
Meanwhile, at the rear of the team, Ethan overturned an Iron-Armored Rhino, and emerged from the ground.
"I charged so fiercely that I ended up dug into the ground!" Ethan shook his head, dusting off the dirt.
In front of Ethan, more than a dozen soldiers were staring at him, somewhat flabbergasted.
"Who... who are you?" A soldier asked.
Hearing this, Ethan laughed and said, "I'm Ethan Hayes, a special enrollment student from Apex Academy. I finally found you guys!"
"Special enrollment student?" A soldier gazed at Ethan in surprise. "How did you charge in here? Quickly go back! This is not where you should be!"
While charging forward with the main troops, the soldier said to Ethan, "How do we get out of here? The place is swarming with Iron-Armored Rhinos. Forget about it, you can come with us. Quick, head towards the inner circle. We'll protect you!"
Without more ado, another warrior pulled Ethan toward the inner circle.
"Wait! You've got it all wrong! I am here to help you deal with the Iron-Armored Rhinos!" Ethan shook off the man's hand.
"Don't joke around! You're just a high school graduate. Come on, let's move to the inner circle!"
